Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Shion’s Thoughts

Especially since the other party was a cute girl, she was even more willing. Hehe (^▽^)

"Really? That's great! Then how should I address you from now on? Calling you teacher might make you seem a bit old. After all, we're about the same age. How about I call you sister?"

Seeing Furina agree to teach her, Shion's face immediately filled with smiles, her joy clearly visible.

However, while it was about teaching, Shion's excitement wasn't mainly because of that. For her, it was more about gaining more opportunities to interact with Furina.

This idea didn't come to her all at once. Ever since their first meeting, when Shion discovered that her prophecies had no effect on Furina, she had developed a strong interest in her.

Although she didn't know the exact reason, she vaguely sensed that the other party might be someone who could bring change, and the events that followed confirmed this.

When setting out on the journey to seal Mōryō, Shion had already prepared to sacrifice herself to seal it.

But that didn't mean she wasn't afraid of the possible death that might come. She was only about the same age as Furina—how could she face it calmly? At the same time, she also knew that as a priestess, she had her mission, so she couldn't run away. With such conflicting feelings, Shion followed Furina's group, who had come to provide support, on the journey to seal Mōryō.

During this time, she saw Furina easily defeat the attacking Mōryō minions. That wasn't surprising. What was important was that afterward, Mōryō itself nearly got sealed by Furina with the help of the others.

This kind of story development was something the previous Shion could never have imagined. It turned out that sealing Mōryō didn't have to be done only by her. Did that mean she could also have a new life instead of living only as a priestess responsible for sealing Mōryō?

Shion didn't know the answer to this question, but she felt that as long as she could stay with Furina—this person she couldn't predict—her fate would also change.

"Furina-neesan, if there's no urgent place you need to go next, why don't you come back to my place first? You guys helped us so much this time. Kakashi-ojisan and the others left in a hurry and didn't have time to entertain you properly. But you must come, so I can play the role of host. What do you think?"

"There's nothing urgent planned next, so Hikari and I will impose on you for a bit."

Furina naturally wouldn't refuse Shion's invitation. To be honest, she really didn't have any important matters right now. Other than training, she was just wandering around the ninja world as a slacker.

Such a state naturally didn't have any strong purpose; she mostly went with the flow.

In plain terms, after finally resolving part of the Mōryō problem, it was time to eat and drink. She had come a long way after Tsunade's call to help with great effort—she couldn't just work for nothing without even getting a hot meal. That would be ridiculous.

The current situation was perfect. She wouldn't mention anything about rewards. Relying on Shion's status to enjoy a period of luxurious life was still acceptable. Hehehe.

As for asking Tsunade for compensation, Furina hadn't thought about it at all. This wasn't a normal commissioned mission. Who could she ask? Tsunade? That woman's pockets were cleaner than her face. If she had any spare money, she would have gambled it away long ago. How could she still have any left?

Wanting to get money from her was purely a daydream, completely unrealistic.
