That evening, Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia found an inn in the eastern port to rest. Earlier in the evening, they had restocked their travel supplies in the eastern port's commercial street and were already quite exhausted.
Their goal in coming to the Central Continent was to experience it firsthand, as well as to head toward the Asura Kingdom. Along the way, they could pass through many kingdoms and cities, allowing them to encounter different cultures and replenish their travel provisions.
Dan Feng lay on the bed, looking at the virtual screen displayed in front of him.
He had been in this other world for nearly three years now, and the progress bar had already reached an astonishing 28%. Dan Feng estimated that at this rate, it wouldn't be long before he truly became a Vidyadhara.
After that, Dan Feng fell asleep. Tonight passed peacefully, with no theft incidents occurring.
In the early morning, the first ray of sunlight shone on Dan Feng, successfully waking him up.
He had a strange dream last night. In it, he saw himself.
No—it probably couldn't be called himself, but rather "Dan Feng," the true High Elder Vidyadhara.
He said nothing, simply standing there quietly, gazing at Dan Feng.
Dan Feng only found it odd. He wasn't "Dan Feng"—he just shared the name and looked somewhat similar.
But it was just a dream, so Dan Feng had no intention of delving into what it meant. He got dressed, got out of bed, organized his things, then went to wake Roxy Migurdia so they could set out.
After Roxy Migurdia got up, the two of them first had breakfast, then began heading northwest. They planned to cross straight through the King Dragon Kingdom and continue to the Sanakia Kingdom beyond it.
There was also a massive forest they would have to traverse along the way. Naturally, avoiding the forest would mean taking a much longer detour, and neither Dan Feng nor Roxy Migurdia intended to do that.
The two followed the map of the Central Continent they had bought yesterday and kept walking.
The walking portions of the journey were extremely boring, because the scenery here was actually not much different from the Millis Continent—except there were more wheat fields here than in Millis.
After several hours of travel, Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia finally decided to stop for a short break.
They chose a relatively open spot in the woods so they could better observe the surrounding environment.
The two sat on the ground and took out some easy-to-preserve food from their packs.
These included jerky and bread they had bought from a small workshop in the eastern port.
Though the bread was simple, it provided the necessary energy—and most importantly, it tasted pretty good.
Just as Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia were about to enjoy this simple lunch, a strange sound suddenly came from the woods.
It was the rapid sound of something trampling leaves, as if something was charging straight toward them at high speed.
Immediately afterward, another, even more intense sound rang out—and it was also heading in their direction.
Dan Feng reacted with exceptional speed. He immediately swallowed the bread in his hand in one bite, then gave a casual wave. A flash of cold light appeared, and Cloud-Piercer materialized in his grasp.
Seeing this, Roxy Migurdia hurriedly set down her bread, quickly picked up the staff at her feet, and prepared for battle.
"Dan Feng, how do you make that weapon appear like that?" Roxy Migurdia asked with wide eyes, full of curiosity.
She had always been puzzled about how Dan Feng managed to conceal such a long spear, and now that she had witnessed it again with her own eyes, her curiosity grew even stronger.
Dan Feng shook his head and said softly, "This? It's a secret. I can't tell you."
Seeing his response, Roxy Migurdia didn't press further. After all, the situation was urgent—not the time for questions.
She refocused her attention on the woods ahead, ready to deal with any crisis that might appear at any moment.
However, what emerged from the trees was a woman. She wore pure white clothing resembling a nun's habit, with something covering her face. The only thing proving she was a woman was the pair of impressive breasts that were in no way inferior to Mayibeia's.
Although her face was hidden by a veil and her expression couldn't be seen, she clearly showed a moment of delight when she saw Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia's adventurer attire.
"Are you adventurers? Please help me! I'll pay you!" the woman immediately said, then quickly hid behind Roxy Migurdia.
"What's going on?" Roxy Migurdia looked at the woman behind her in confusion, but the increasingly close vibrations from ahead forced her to keep her eyes forward.
"It's a monster," the woman said.
As soon as the words left her mouth, a gigantic wild boar burst out of the bushes in a furious charge.
But what met it was Roxy Migurdia's Ice Lance Blizzard and Dan Feng's Cloud-Piercer in one swift strike.
Thus, the demonic wild boar didn't even have time to understand what happened before it met its end in the northwest.
Its massive body crashed to the ground with a tremendous thud, startling all the birds in the trees into flight.
"Monsters on the Central Continent are unexpectedly easy," Roxy Migurdia remarked after seeing how effortlessly the demonic wild boar had been killed. Her entire body instantly relaxed.
"Little sister, are you a magician? That was amazing!" The woman watched as Roxy Migurdia set down her staff, then clapped her hands.
"Who are you?" Roxy Migurdia asked with a puzzled expression, looking at the woman in front of her.
Dan Feng likewise watched the woman expressionlessly.
"I…" The woman seemed a little embarrassed, then explained to Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia that she was a bard and why she had been chased by the wild boar.
"Now that there's no more danger, you can go," Dan Feng said indifferently to the bard, seemingly completely unconcerned about whether she stayed or left.
However, the bard did not leave immediately. Instead, she gave a friendly smile and said, "Are you two heading to the Sanakia Kingdom? I'm going there too. Would it be okay if we traveled together? I can pay you."
With that, she reached into the area around her chest, carefully took out a single gold coin, and handed it to Roxy Migurdia.
Roxy Migurdia looked at the bard in front of her and felt that she didn't seem like a bad person.
After hesitating for a moment, she turned her gaze toward Dan Feng, seemingly asking for his opinion.
Dan Feng merely shrugged and said calmly, "I don't mind."
And so, the bard successfully joined Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia's traveling party.
"Which parts can you accept?" Dan Feng walked up to the gigantic wild boar, turned his head toward the two behind him, and asked.
Roxy Migurdia watched Dan Feng's actions in some surprise and asked, "Dan Feng, are you planning to eat it?"
Dan Feng nodded as if it were the most natural thing in the world and replied, "It would be such a waste not to eat such a big wild boar."
The bard standing nearby heard Dan Feng's words and quickly said, "As long as it has four legs, I can eat anything except tables and chairs!"
She had just been chased by this wild boar for a long time. Fortunately, this was a forest and the boar's speed wasn't too great; otherwise, things could have turned very dangerous.
Afterward, the wild boar was roasted. The fragrant aroma of the pork immediately tempted both Roxy Migurdia's and the bard's taste buds.
Adding some secret seasoning made the meat even more irresistible.
