Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Feelings Warming Up?

That evening, Dan Feng and Roxy moved into the student dormitories of Ranoa Magic University.

Since the students had not yet returned to campus, the entire dormitory building felt extremely empty. The massive building housed only Dan Feng alone.

However, he felt no fear at all being alone in such a place. In fact, he quite enjoyed this quiet environment.

After all, for someone who preferred peace and quiet like him, such surroundings were ideal.

As for Roxy, having traveled alone as an adventurer for a long time, she naturally felt no fear at being alone in an entire building.

The rooms for special students were located on the top floor. Each room was for single occupancy only, with all necessary facilities provided.

Upon entering the room, the first thing that met the eye was a basic single bed placed in the center—simple, yet sufficiently comfortable.

Near the door was a set of desk and chair, convenient for the special students' daily use.

On the left wall beside the bed was a small fireplace, which could provide warmth on cold days.

At the foot of the bed stood a chest for storing clothes.

On the other side of the room, right next to the door, was an independent toilet.

However, there were no modern faucets or similar facilities here. To handle water needs, one still had to rely on Dan Feng's own water magic.

After Dan Feng finished organizing all his belongings, he could finally take a short rest.

He slowly sat down on the stool, took a book from his backpack, and began reading leisurely.

In truth, reading was not a hobby for him—it was merely a habit to increase his progress.

Right now, his progress had been stuck at forty percent for a while, with little increase afterward.

Dan Feng guessed that he would need to hunt monsters frantically to make it rise faster—after all, he remembered that Imbibitor Lunae was more of a martial type.

Meanwhile, after organizing her things, Roxy headed straight into the bathroom.

This world had no bathtubs or shower facilities. For ordinary people, bathing was usually done with a bucket.

Magicians, of course, had their own unique methods.

She stood in the center of the bathroom and began channeling the mana within her body.

Soon, a clear stream of water appeared out of thin air, cascading down like a waterfall and pouring precisely over her body.

The water flowed continuously, washing away all dirt and fatigue from Roxy's body.

In no time, her skin became smooth and jade-like, resembling a soft, fragrant little blueberry cake.

While bathing, she undid the two water-blue braids on her head to make washing her hair easier.

After finishing her bath, Roxy wrapped herself in a soft bath towel and slowly stepped out of the bathroom.

Her damp water-blue long hair hung over her shoulders, though that signature ahoge still stood proudly atop her head.

Then she sat on the stool and cast a weak fire magic combined with a strong wind magic, allowing the two to merge.

The warmth of the flames and the blowing wind worked together on her hair, instantly drying the wet strands.

Once she finished, she lay down on her own bed with a sigh of relief.

Her thoughts gradually drifted, recalling everything that had happened today.

During the enrollment test with the principal, the chantless magic technique Dan Feng had taught her had displayed astonishing power.

It had even managed to suppress the principal when he wasn't using Saint-rank or higher magic.

This showed just how significant chantless magic was for a magician—and Dan Feng had taught her this miraculous technique without holding anything back.

Thinking of this, Roxy's emotions reached a new peak.

That special feeling toward Dan Feng gradually began to sprout.

Then there was Dan Feng's resolute expression during his test, which gave Roxy an extreme sense of security.

Cold, tall, handsome—these were the surface traits Roxy summarized about Dan Feng.

His inner qualities were gentle, serious, and resolute.

Unknowingly, Roxy's face flushed red. She didn't know what she was thinking, but she suddenly felt heat radiating from her freshly bathed body.

"Mm~"

...

The next morning, Dan Feng and Roxy had agreed to visit the adventurers' guild in the Ranoa Kingdom.

After all, most adventurers here were C-rank or higher, which spoke volumes about the difficulty of quests around the Ranoa Kingdom.

Early in the morning, Dan Feng was already waiting downstairs at the girls' dormitory for Roxy.

Roxy, having just finished getting ready, walked out of the dormitory building.

The moment she stepped out, she spotted Dan Feng waiting in the distance.

Roxy immediately felt embarrassed, but she still hurried toward him.

Since there were no cell phones, Dan Feng had nothing else to do, so he silently practiced the Cloud Chant Technique.

He felt that he could now use the Cloud Chant Technique to conceal his presence.

"Sorry, Dan Feng. I really didn't mean to keep you waiting so long." Accompanied by her familiar voice, Roxy suddenly appeared in front of Dan Feng. Her face was full of apologetic smiles, clearly feeling bad about making him wait.

Dan Feng quickly replied, "It's fine. I only just got here too."

As he spoke, Dan Feng gently handed the breakfast he was holding to Roxy.

Roxy happily accepted it. When she saw what was inside the kraft paper bag, she froze completely.

It was actually her favorite apple pie!

Her eyes widened. The enticing aroma and the golden, crispy crust were all teasing her taste buds.

The moment Roxy saw the apple pie, her gaze was glued to it—she couldn't look away.

If Roxy's affection for Dan Feng had previously been around sixty percent, then at this moment, that number undoubtedly increased by five percent.

As for how much affection Dan Feng had for Roxy? Only he himself knew that for sure.

But one thing was certain: their relationship was definitely no longer just that of good friends. As for how it would develop further, it might require some wingmen to help push things along before more possibilities could be unlocked.

"Wow, thank you so much!" Roxy finally snapped out of it. She happily took the apple pie and said with a face full of bliss.

Then, unable to wait any longer, she opened the packaging and began devouring it with great satisfaction—her delighted expression was infectious.

Dan Feng, having nothing better to do, simply watched silently as Roxy quickly finished off the apple pie bite by bite.

Unknowingly, the corners of Dan Feng's mouth curved up ever so slightly—an arc so subtle that others would hardly notice.

After Roxy finished eating, the two of them headed toward the main gate of Ranoa Magic University.

They planned to pick up some quests to earn funds needed for school, then buy some daily necessities on the way back.
