Time passed quickly in the learning environment. It had already been some time since the start of the semester. That Forget-Me-Not flower was being carefully nurtured by Roxy in her own room—it was clear she greatly cherished the flower Dan Feng had given her.
During this period, Roxy finally got her wish and began taking classes on magic circles.
For her, this course was filled with mystery and filled her with anticipation toward magic circles.
Magic courses had temporarily been set aside by both Roxy and Dan Feng.
After all, as first-year freshmen, the magic they could learn in class would definitely only be at the beginner level.
Since they had already mastered all beginner-level magic except for God-ranked strike magic, attending regular magic classes held little meaning for them anymore.
Today, Roxy got up very early and headed excitedly to the commercial street in Sharia, planning to purchase the materials needed for studying magic circles.
In the magic circle materials shop, she carefully selected various items, including special ink used for drawing magic circles and some precious mana crystals.
When Roxy stepped out of the magic circle materials shop, she suddenly felt a sharp, knife-like pain in her heart.
The reason was simple—these mana crystals were far too expensive!
Just one cost two Ranoa silver coins, which was no small sum for Roxy. That amount could buy her a lot of desserts.
Despite the high price, for the sake of smoothly studying magic circles, Roxy gritted her teeth and bought them.
Afterward, the teacher instructing her in the basics of magic circles suggested that as a freshman, she could start by using two mana crystals. Once she became proficient, she could switch to using only mana-infused ink.
Carrying these expensive materials, Roxy arrived at an open clearing feeling somewhat downhearted.
She spread out a sheet of white paper and prepared to begin practicing drawing a magic circle.
Then Roxy crushed the mana crystals, mixing the powder into ordinary ink. After that, she opened the notes she had taken during class and began thinking carefully.
Next, Roxy picked up her pen, dipped it in the ink, and started drawing a magic circle on the paper.
The magic circle she was drawing at the moment was a beginner-level water magic circle. Once completed, it would continuously generate a stream of water from within until the mana inside was fully depleted.
"Good! Just like that—maybe it'll work!" Roxy showed a serious expression; at this moment, her eyes held nothing but the magic circle in front of her.
After careful drawing by Roxy, a circular magic circle with geometric patterns in the center was completed.
"Done! Now I just need to infuse a little mana into it." Roxy looked at the magic circle she had drawn, then slowly placed her small, fair hand onto it.
She then channeled the mana within her body and began pouring it into the magic circle.
Not long after, the magic circle emitted a faint blue glow.
Soon, clusters of water orbs emerged from the center of the magic circle, slowly floating above the paper without falling.
Seeing this, Roxy tried to control the water orbs with her mana—and succeeded.
"I did it! I succeeded on my very first attempt at drawing a magic circle!" Roxy was overjoyed. She immediately deactivated the beginner-level magic circle, picked up the paper, and left the area.
Meanwhile, Dan Feng was in the library of Ranoa Magic University.
It had to be said—the library was truly enormous, even larger than the cathedral in Millishion.
The number of books inside was countless. Basically, almost any academic book from anywhere in the world could be found here. What remained were academic papers written by successive generations of Ranoa Magic University scholars.
For example, some theses on Saint-rank magic could be found in this library—though it depended on luck.
There were simply too many books. Looking around, all one could see were densely packed shelves.
Dan Feng was currently reading a book titled Labyrinth Rankings.
It introduced the world's most powerful labyrinths as well as some particularly special ones.
The three greatest labyrinths in the world were the Dragon God's Hole, Hell, and the Demon God's Lair.
The Dragon God's Hole was located in the Dragon Roar Mountains between the northern part of the Central Continent and the Conflict Zone. The Dragon Roar Mountains were the tallest spiritual mountains in the world.
Hell was situated on the Heavenly Continent, the highest-elevation region in this world, known as the Forbidden Zone of Death. It was home to the heavenly race, who generally had no contact with other races.
The Demon God's Lair was located in the center of the Ringus Sea.
These three labyrinths were renowned as the three most difficult in the world. To this day, no one had ever conquered them. Any adventurer who entered attempting to clear them never came out.
"If the progress bar reaches a certain point, maybe I can try challenging these labyrinths—especially the Demon God's Lair." Dan Feng thought to himself. As for why he was particularly drawn to the Demon God's Lair? Probably because it was in the middle of the sea.
Roxy ran all the way back to Ranoa Magic University, then hurriedly headed toward the library.
She knew Dan Feng was most likely in the library—after all, a few days ago he had mentioned to her that he would be self-studying there.
When Roxy arrived at the library, she spotted Dan Feng at a glance.
At this moment, Dan Feng was sitting not far from the entrance, quietly reading the book in his hands—looking exactly the same as always.
Seeing him, Roxy quickly walked in and hurried over to his side.
Dan Feng sensed someone sitting down beside him, turned his head, and saw that it was Roxy.
"Why are you here?" Dan Feng asked her in a low voice.
Roxy smiled brightly and immediately took out the magic circle she had drawn.
"Look—I drew it!" Roxy's words were filled with excitement, like a student who had just scored 100 on an exam and was showing off to a classmate.
Dan Feng looked at the magic circle Roxy had drawn, then silently gave her a thumbs-up.
"Impressive."
"Come on, come outside with me to test it." Saying so, Roxy grabbed the magic circle and the ink she had bought and headed out.
Dan Feng shook his head, silently closed his book, and followed her outside.
Before leaving, he registered his information with the librarian and checked out the book he had been reading.
He followed Roxy all the way to the magic training field, where Roxy set up the magic circle she had drawn.
She immediately began infusing mana. Soon, just like before, water orbs appeared floating above the magic circle.
"Look!" Roxy turned to Dan Feng with an expression begging for praise.
"Doing this well on your first try is already very impressive. But can I borrow your ink for a moment?" Dan Feng asked, looking at Roxy.
"Here." Seeing that Dan Feng wanted to use it, Roxy handed over the expensive ink she had spent a fortune on without hesitation. She knew Dan Feng was about to fix the flaws in her magic circle.
"You added too many contract characters here. You can set the speed to 0." As Dan Feng spoke, he took the quill and began drawing on the magic circle.
He simply added one new condition—making the water orbs' speed much faster.
After finishing, Dan Feng placed his hand on the magic circle and infused mana.
Instantly, water orbs shot out from the magic circle like bullets, hitting the ground and creating ripples of splashing water.
