After Dragon God Orsted left, Dan Feng took out the ring that could block the Human God's line of sight.
He hadn't properly examined this ring yet. He could only sense a peculiar energy on it—one that surprisingly bore some resemblance to his own power.
"It feels somewhat similar, but not much..." Dan Feng said faintly. He then thought of calling Roxy over to hand the ring to her.
After all, the Human God couldn't see him anyway, so this ring was optional for him. The Dragon God's original intention was probably for Roxy to use it.
Just as he was about to speak, the virtual screen popped up at an inopportune moment.
[Current Imbibitor Lunae progress bar has reached 60%. The remaining progress requires completing specific events to unlock.]
[Detected that the host has come into contact with a new Immortal. Preparing to unlock the second template.]
[Template draw commencing...]
Dan Feng was slightly stunned upon hearing the system's voice. He then looked toward the virtual screen that had appeared out of thin air beside him.
At this moment, the virtual screen was locked on several large words—Drawing...
"A new Immortal? There are still Immortals in this world? Or does it mean even the Dragon God counts as an Immortal?" Dan Feng's heart was filled with doubt, but he was somewhat looking forward to what template he might draw.
Since it was called an Immortal, it was probably still related to dragons, right? Could he draw the template of another Vidyadhara High Elder?
While waiting for the template draw, Dan Feng called Roxy back and handed her the ring that could block the Human God's line of sight.
"Roxy, as long as you carry this ring on you, the Human God won't be able to see you." Dan Feng explained the ring's function to Roxy.
Upon hearing this, Roxy placed the Dragon God's ring into a small hidden pocket in her clothes. This magic tool didn't need to be worn on the hand—it only needed to be kept on one's person to take effect.
Since they were currently in the Central Continent, Dan Feng and Roxy decided to head to the Ranoa Kingdom to check whether they had been wanted.
There were no other urgent matters to attend to at the moment anyway, so going to the Ranoa Kingdom was a good way to pass some time.
And so, Dan Feng and Roxy quietly arrived in the magic city of Sharia.
They did not deliberately disguise their appearances, as they had flown directly over a section of the city wall—an entry method that was relatively discreet.
Sharia today was as bustling as ever, with streets packed full of people coming and going.
Dan Feng and Roxy first went to the adventurers' guild's wanted poster board, intending to see if their names were listed.
The adventurers' guild in the afternoon was somewhat quiet, with only a handful of people inside submitting low-level completed requests.
However, to Dan Feng and Roxy's surprise, their names were not on the wanted list at all! This was truly unreasonable.
"How is this possible?" Dan Feng frowned thoughtfully.
"Either someone is secretly helping us, or there's some issue on the Ranoa Kingdom's side." Though his tone was calm, his heart was filled with confusion.
The answer was already obvious. The only person who could get Ranoa Magic University to stop pursuing them—and who still had some connection to them—was one individual.
That was Nephelira Ranoa, the princess of the Ranoa Kingdom.
"Then it can only be Nephelira who has some connection to us, so this was probably her doing." Dan Feng analyzed.
"She's actually pretty nice."
"After all, Chantless Magic Skills still hold some value for the Ranoa Kingdom."
What Dan Feng didn't say was that, with his current strength, any kingdom rashly making an enemy of him would simply be asking for trouble.
The Seven Great Powers were all individuals capable of matching an entire kingdom—opposing one would be thankless and exhausting.
With this in mind, the two decided to go to Ranoa Magic University to look for Nephelira.
...
Inside the student council room of Ranoa Magic University, everything was quiet.
Nephelira rested her cheek on one hand, leaning slightly forward, her gaze fixed straight on the door opposite her. Her eyes were vacant, as if they had lost focus.
At this moment, she felt utterly bored.
The other student council members around her were each busy with their tasks—some handling documents, others planning events—while she had long since finished her own duties. Right now, she felt like a forgotten person, idle and purposeless.
This emptiness made Nephelira extremely uncomfortable. She couldn't help but look around, trying to find something to occupy her time.
Suddenly, she noticed just how spacious the room really was. The wide-open space surprised her somewhat.
Then her gaze fell on the curtains at the back of the room.
Sunlight filtered through the windows and spilled onto the curtains, creating a soft play of light and shadow.
Nephelira's heart stirred. She felt that this warm sunlight might bring her some comfort.
So, without hesitation, she stood up, walked quickly to the curtains, and yanked them shut.
Instantly, the room's light became soft and warm, as if veiled by a thin layer of gauze.
Nephelira looked at the result with satisfaction, then slowly walked to the door and gently locked it completely.
With a soft 'click', the door was securely fastened, sealing the entire room off.
"Since no one's around..." The corners of Nephelira's mouth lifted slightly, revealing a sly smile.
She leisurely returned to her seat, plopped down, and then... her hands began to behave rather improperly...
The weather outside today was really noisy. It probably wouldn't be long before it rained...
Some time later.
"Huff... huff..." Nephelira sat in her chair gasping for breath, as if she had just finished an intense long-distance run. Her chest rose and fell dramatically.
Beads of fine sweat covered her forehead—clearly the result of overexertion just now.
However, just as she hadn't fully recovered from her exhaustion, a series of urgent and forceful knocks suddenly came from the door.
Knock knock knock! The sudden sound struck like lightning across a night sky, instantly making Nephelira's nerves tense up. Alarm bells rang loudly in her mind.
Her body sprang up from the chair with inhuman speed.
Her hands quickly tidied her slightly disheveled hair, then she yanked open the curtains, letting sunlight flood the entire room once more.
After doing all this, Nephelira took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart.
She walked toward the door with elegant, measured steps—neither hurried nor sluggish.
When she reached the door, she paused for a slight hesitation, then asked in a tone tinged with confusion: "Who is it?" Her clear voice echoed through the room.
