Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 – City-Level Destruction

The sky had turned black.

Not from clouds.

From cursed energy.

At the center of the ruined battlefield stood the fully manifested calamity—

Ryomen Sukuna in his true four-armed form.

And before him—

Barely standing, yet unbroken—

Toji Fushiguro.

The ground beneath them trembled like it feared what was coming next.

The First Swing

Sukuna didn't speak.

He simply moved.

Four arms blurred at once.

A massive Cleave tore forward—

Not a line.

A wave.

Toji jumped sideways at full speed—

But the attack didn't just cut him.

It cut the city behind him.

Skyscrapers split vertically.

Highways collapsed.

Entire blocks folded in half.

The shockwave alone shattered everything within kilometers.

This was no longer a duel.

It was disaster.

No Safe Ground

Toji sprinted across crumbling debris.

Sukuna appeared above him—

Two arms forming another strike while the other two stabilized his stance mid-air.

The slash carved a canyon through the earth.

Concrete vaporized.

Metal liquefied.

Toji barely escaped by diving into the shadow of a falling structure.

The building collapsed seconds later.

Dust engulfed everything.

Through the smoke—

Four glowing eyes watched.

Predator vs Calamity

Toji launched himself out of the debris, attacking from Sukuna's blind side.

His blade struck Sukuna's ribs.

It cut—

But shallow.

Sukuna's upper arms grabbed Toji instantly.

The lower arms delivered two devastating punches.

Each impact felt like being hit by collapsing mountains.

Toji was sent flying through multiple buildings.

The skyline cracked under the force.

Sukuna stepped forward calmly.

"Your instincts are impressive."

He extended all four arms outward.

Cursed energy condensed around him like a second sun.

"But this is scale."

The King's Output

Without activating a full Domain—

Sukuna released raw output.

Hundreds of amplified Cleaves fired in every direction.

Not precise.

Not controlled.

Pure destruction.

Entire districts were erased in seconds.

Firestorms ignited.

Shockwaves rippled outward endlessly.

Even distant sorcerers watching from afar felt the devastation.

The city was being dismantled piece by piece.

Toji ran through the chaos.

Dodging collapsing towers.

Sliding under falling steel beams.

Using debris as cover.

He wasn't trying to win this exchange.

He was surviving it.

The Crater

Sukuna slammed both lower fists into the ground.

The impact created a massive crater spanning multiple city blocks.

Everything within it disintegrated.

Toji barely escaped the edge—

His body torn and bleeding heavily.

He dropped to one knee again.

The destruction around them stretched farther than the eye could see.

Smoke.

Flames.

Ruins.

Sukuna walked slowly toward him through the devastation.

Four arms relaxed at his sides.

"This is the difference," he said calmly.

"Between a hunter…"

"…and a natural disaster."

Standing Again

Toji coughed blood onto broken stone.

His body screamed to stop.

But he rose anyway.

Slowly.

Blade shaking slightly in his grip.

The city was almost gone.

But his eyes remained sharp.

He wasn't measuring buildings.

He wasn't measuring destruction.

He was measuring Sukuna.

Breathing rate.

Muscle tension.

Energy flow.

Even at city-level output—

There were limits.

Sukuna tilted his head slightly.

"You still think you can win?"

Toji exhaled slowly.

"I don't need to beat a disaster."

He lifted his blade again.

"I just need to cut it."

The wind howled through the broken city.

The next exchange would decide—

Whether instinct could pierce overwhelming power.

Or whether the calamity would finally crush the anomaly.
