With the discovery of the Time Barrier, Fu Ye's schedule had become incredibly flexible. Since his women had all become familiar with one another, the atmosphere when they were together had become quite relaxed and open.
It was Sunday, a day with no formal classes. Of course, for those who didn't want to rest and preferred to seek "private tutoring" from Fu Ye, they were always welcome to report to his room. Xiao Wu, relying on her formidable recovery speed as a Rank 98 Super Douluo, was always the first in line, constantly looking for ways to squeeze in an extra "lesson" or two.
After a satisfying meal, Fu Ye led Xiao Wu back to his room. The other Tianshui girls knew exactly what their relationship was—after all, they had arrived together—but that didn't stop a few of them from harboring their own little schemes. However, they collectively decided that tonight wasn't the right time to interrupt.
Inside the room, the "old married couple" shared a bath. Though Xiao Wu was a bit restless, she didn't do anything too bold—yet. Once they were finished, Fu Ye activated a Spatial Barrier. Within this shimmering dome, time flowed twenty-four times faster than in the outside world; twenty-four hours inside was a mere hour outside.
But before the two could even begin their "sparring session," a small, silver-haired head poked out from beneath the blankets.
"Oh my, little Xue Ke is here too. It looks like Xiao Wu has a helper today," Fu Ye mused, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
The night passed without words, only action.
As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, Fu Ye slowly opened his eyes. He looked at the peacefully sleeping Xiao Wu beside him and the completely exhausted Xue Ke. He cast another spatial barrier to ensure they could rest properly. Xiao Wu was fine, but little Xue Ke...
Twelve hours later within the barrier, the little princess finally flickered her gray eyes open. Her body felt weak, and her mind was a blur of the previous night's images. She had heard the court ladies talk about such things back in the palace, but with Brother Fu Ye, it was entirely different! She realized, with a blush, that she couldn't even wrap both of her small hands around...
When she regained her senses, she found herself held firmly in Fu Ye's arms. The warmth of his chest made her heart swell. Though it had been painful at first, the afterglow was surprisingly sweet.
As the time barrier dissolved, only an hour had passed in the real world. Xiao Wu sat up, rubbing her aching belly, her eyes landing on the man holding her. Suddenly, she leaned in and bit his arm.
"Ow! Hey, you crazy rabbit, let go! If you bite your husband to death, you'll be a widow."
"Hmph! Who told you to be so rough last night? I saw you being so gentle with sister Xue Ke," Xiao Wu teased, her tongue poking out.
"Oh? And who was the one who told me to do it—"
"Quiet! Don't you dare say it!" Xiao Wu squeaked, covering his mouth.
Today was Tianshui's final day at the Great Spirit Arena and their last scheduled match. The roster had been decided through a simple game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. The seven starters were Zhu Zhuqing, Zhu Zhuyun, Ning Rongrong, Shui Bing'er, Shui Yue'er, Dugu Yan, and Wu Ling.
The girls who didn't make the cut had no complaints. Fu Ye had taught them that every one of them was a starter and every one was a reserve. With eleven members in total, this fair selection process was something they had all come to love.
"Heehee, Hai Rou, I didn't expect to get another day of rest," one girl giggled.
"Mhm. Rongrong tried to swap with me just now, but I turned her down flat. Why fight when you can watch the show?"
While Meng Yiran and the others were enjoying a peaceful morning in the stands, they were stunned to see the group's "mascot," little sister Xue Ke, being carried into the arena in Fu Ye's arms.
The four girls in the stands immediately turned green with envy.
Shen Liuyu: I never expected little Xue Ke to get there first!Yu Hairou: I was wondering why Ke'er didn't sleep in my room last night. She was busy stealing the home!Meng Yiran: Wait, I thought she was sleeping with Xue Wu?Xue Wu: Me? Why me?!
Xiao Wu walked on Fu Ye's right side. She wasn't upset about him carrying Xue Ke; instead, she felt quite bad for her. Recalling Xue Ke's cries from the night before, Xiao Wu felt her face heat up. Her own teasing of Fu Ye had resulted in a "thunderous punishment," and while her Super Douluo recovery was top-tier, Xue Ke wasn't so lucky. The poor girl couldn't even walk, let alone watch the match from the box.
Fu Ye noticed the醋意 (jealousy) in the eyes of the four girls. He simply placed Xue Ke down in the middle of them. He might not understand girls from Earth perfectly, but he understood Douluo girls very well. In this world, power is king. Strong Spirit Masters are entitled to many partners, and emperors have three thousand concubines. Fu Ye, being "cheated" with his powers, saw the continent as his backyard and the God Realm as his future property.
"Alright, you're all sisters. Get along well," Fu Ye said, patting their heads.
Xue Ke was stuffed into the middle of the group, and Shen Liuyu and the others looked at her like hungry wolves discovering a lamb. Their eyes were practically glowing green. Xue Wu, however, remained composed; as Fu Ye's "official" girlfriend, even if Xue Ke joined the ranks, she'd still have to call her "Big Sister."
"Little sister Xue Ke, Sister Liuyu has always been good to you, right?" "Ke'er, Sister Hairou wants to ask you a few things..." "Good sister, can you tell Sister Yiran what happened last night?"
While the girls were busy interrogating the princess, the Tianshui and Shrek teams were facing off on the stage. In the stands, alongside Flender, a familiar face appeared among the Shrek coaching staff.
"Yu Xiaogang, do you think these kids can win?" Flender asked.
"Mhm. According to the tactics I have researched, Little San and Little Chuan have a sixty-percent chance of winning this match!"
Yu Xiaogang's eyes flickered with a mix of cowardice and "wisdom." Even if he didn't actually understand the gap, he had to pretend he did!
