JASMINE
The final bell rang, signaling the end of classes. I was packing my notes when a group from my volunteer activity team approached my desk. They looked impatient, arms crossed, eyes narrowed.
"Jasmine," the tallest one said sharply, "the voluntary activity is today. We are leaving in thirty minutes. You'd better be ready."
I blinked, completely shocked. "Today? But… I never knew about it. No one told me the exact date."
One of the boys, a guy who had always been close to Henry, stepped forward with clear irritation. "Are you serious right now? After you made sure Henry couldn't even show up to school, now you're acting dumb? You're the one who caused all this mess, and you don't even remember the schedule?"
I stood up, trying to stay calm. "I am not acting dumb. You never told me it was today. I would have prepared if someone had actually informed me properly."
