I stormed into the company headquarters like a man possessed, my jaw clenched so tight it ached. The drive from the mansion had been a blur of rage and disbelief. Jaden was still in the hospital, recovering from poisoning.
The entire office felt the tension the moment I stepped off the elevator. Employees froze in their tracks, conversations dying instantly. Heads turned, eyes filled with worry and fear. They knew something was wrong. They always did when I walked in like this.
Rick was pacing outside my office, his tie loosened, hair disheveled, laptop clutched under his arm like a shield. He looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"Boss," he said, voice strained as he fell into step beside me. "We have been investigating all night. The leak… It's bad. The investors are furious. They're talking about breach of contract, pulling funding, even legal action."
I didn't stop walking. "Show me everything. Now."
