Theo's eyes narrowed slightly.
The bone tunnels were annoying, but they weren't unbeatable.
As long as he stayed on top of her and forced her into close combat, every second she spent defending herself was a second she couldn't spend burrowing underground.
'The problem is…'
His grip tightened around the umbrella.
'She still hasn't revealed her second element.'
That fact alone kept him from charging in recklessly.
Theo's gaze remained fixed on Lucienne.
She stood perfectly still on the other side of the arena, the tip of her scythe resting lightly against the ground.
There wasn't the slightest hint of panic on her face.
''Impressive,'' she shouted. ''I can see how you got that title now.''
Theo's expression slowly darkened.
Water began swirling around the tip of his umbrella once more as faint arcs of lightning crackled beneath his feet.
Lucienne responded immediately.
She kicked the ground once while twirling the scythe in her hands.
Rumble!
