The man's expression had long grown dark and bitter.
WHOOSH!
He blinked away once more.
But barely fifty yards away, he reappeared deep underwater again.
Right as he appeared, a powerful pressure sucked him back several yards.
WHOOSH!
The man blinked again, but the result was no different.
Theo watched him closely from the center of the ocean.
'Fifty yards,' he thought. 'That seems to be the limit of his blink.'
WHOOSH!
The man vanished again.
But now that Theo knew the range of his blink, he was already prepared.
The moment he reappeared, water began swirling around him violently.
In only a second and a half, the strong current dragged him nearly twenty yards back towards Theo.
'There's the interval,' Theo thought, narrowing his eyes. 'He recovers for a second and then prepares his next blink in half a second.'
It wasn't super long.
But it was more than enough.
CRACKLE! CRACKLE!
Several huge lightning bolts began forming in the air.
