Mira let her head face forward at his statement. All she saw were leaves clustering the path but she had seen this place before. It was the path leading to the dying lake. Mira swallowed.
"You chose here for a date?" She questioned.
Ming Tao stared down to face her, his expression warm. "This place signified the end of life then new beginnings and the birth of life, I could not think of a better spot for it." He responded.
Mira gave it a thought, now that he put it this way, it was true and he was right. "I suppose so." Mira said to him.
"Close your eyes, darling." Ming Tao said. Mira did as told, circling her arms around him more.
Ming Tao pushed through ahead, he held Mira firmly with one hand from her behind then pushed the leaves to the side to create a clear path.
Now they walked in. Mira no longer felt the tips of leaves brush her body. All she felt was the cold breeze of the night hitting her open skin.
