Shin twisted the handle of the door, opening it, he stepped into a small barely furnished living room and immediately a girl ran up to him and jumped into his arms hugging him tightly.
"Welcome back, brother"this happened to be his sister Annie crimson with her blonde long hair and blue eyes.
Stepping back she quickly composed herself and that was when she saw the state he was in.
"You got bullied again, didn't you"his sister said almost bursting into tears she ran up to him and hugged him thightly again this time it was so thight his wounds hurt more than it already did.
"Don't worry,I am here for you,shin"a voice replied his sister as a hand wrapped around him and his sister hugging them all together
When shin looked at who was hugging them it was thier mother with a cute, though aging face due to poverty rather than age,blonde short haired woman.
"It's okay I am fine"shin said trying to get them to stop squeezing him. After the little family hug he went into the next room and there pulled off his now torn up school uniform and throwing it into the clothbin he got into a sleeping bag on the floor and fell asleep.
Shin woke up the next morning feeling sore all over his body. Standing up from his sleeping bag he wore a red hoodie jacket with black pants. Stepping out of the room into the cramped sitting room he could passive the aroma of toast and egg.though this might seems like a normal meal to other actually this is all they could manage to afford without starving for the next days to settle debts.
His mother raised her head from meal she was making before asking shin to wait for the food.
"No,I will just find my way out" he replied his mother but she insisted on him taking at least a packed food with him which he accepted.
Shin was now jogging along the road while carrying a small bag on his back. He was currently running to his workplace even though there were lots of buses he could easily board but the truth is those who could not get Omni-abilities we're bullied to the point of even restricting them from basic social amenities since they won't even get jobs to pay taxs from.
Well even if he had no Omni-ability he still continued doing rigorous training to strengthen his body believing he would one day get an omni-ability and he would stop getting bullied.
After about two and a half hour of running he finally stopped in front of a very tall building so tall it was pretty had seeing the top of the building and on the building was a sign that read "Phantom hunters faction" . This was shin's workplace, this was also part of the effect of the discovery of the Omni-serum or more precisely the discovery of portals.
As a result of discovery of portals and the quality of the world they gave access to some individuals came together and formed a faction along with the first set of people sent into the power and this people were known as hunters with thier job being to explore and gather resources found in the portals. And when later more omni-serums were discovered and administered to more people, with these people gaining powers of different types and strength they were then divided into different sections and rankings.
Though shin didn't belong to any of this group unfortunately. The job he had here was not even anything to be associated with the faction.Shin worked here as what they called a "Hunter sherpa" though usually called a hunters chaffuer slave.
The job though dangerous and having not quite the decent pay shin continued doing it because he knew that this is what he could do to at least help his family and he will continue doing the job as long as he can help his family.
Stepping into the faction it was as rowdy as always with hunters of many variation walking around and conversingin loud voices with eachother,at the end of the room there was a large rectangular board where quest were posted for hunters to apply for.tge system worked in a way in which a specific number of hunters was needed to apply for a quest before the quest can be approved due to the fact that exploring of portals needs a specific number of people and in most cases a quest will come with an offer of a hunter sharpa and today seems like that was the case as shin spotted a quest that needed a sharpa and the team happened to be complet and ready to begin the quest,not waiting a second more he applied for this quest and was directed to the team he would be working with.
The team immediately was transportated to the portal gate scene.stepping into the portal alongside the other in the team which included a blonde haired guy whose hair was neatly tied in a ponytail and was carrying a sword on his waist,beside him was a tall woman with a bow on her back and to shin's side a huge man with black hair was carrying two shields one strapped to his back and the other which he held in his right hand.
"Don't you look pretty weak to be a sharpa uhn, kid"the huge man asked
"What a poor kid,seems the next generation are getting kind of weaker by the day"a thin man with black spiky hair who seems to be overwhelmed by the big black coat he was wearing replied the huge man
"You shouldn't say that, even though he is trash he is still useful carrying our loads,hahaahah"the last guy on the team though short compared to the other members of the team he was also quite muscular and he had nothing for a weapon just like the black spiky head man.
They continued thier journey futher into the portal while the three men continued taunting shin and making it into some kind of entertainment and at some point the blonde haired man who acted as the head of the team told the spiky hair guy by the name hawke to scout the sorrounding with his ability,and suddenly hawke started expanding and becoming larger in size, growing out large wings from where his hands were before and long legs ending in big sharp talons and from his head he also grew big beaks and whitish hair on his head reaching up to his neck with wide hawk-like eyes, it was the huji realized the purpose of the large clothing he wore.
Taking off into the sky,hawke continued forward farther than them into the distance while they waited for his report while also advancing forward slowly and then suddenly they could see hawke approaching them at a fast speed and with came a horde of rinoserous looking beasts.
Landing in front of the team,hawke informed them the numbers of the beast and the location of thier boss.The team immediately started getting prepared at the signal of the blonde haired man
