Chapter 6 - Class Change

Ryan ducked down and looked at the object the boss had dropped.

"Analysis."

[Rare Battle Gauntlets]

› Strength +50

› Defense +30

› Psyche +30

Ryan picked up the gauntlets; they were actually a pair of gloves that reached up to his forearms. The upper section over the knuckles was made of metal. Both gauntlets had what looked like a magic stone embedded in them.

'I was expecting a super sword, but I can't complain. With the Wolf Hunter title and these gauntlets, I'll be much stronger now.'

Upon equipping the gauntlets, a new system window updated.

[Item Skill Acquired]

› Wall of Fire

› Fire Aura

'Let's see... the first skill creates a fire shield that protects the designated target and deals damage to anyone who touches it. And the second skill... increases my damage by 10%.'

"This is very interesting. Can I really keep them?" Ryan asked, looking at his companions.

"Of course," Mirian replied gently. "I'm an archer and Helen uses a sword."

Helen and Mirian looked at each other and nodded, both in agreement.

"Isn't it strange for a support to use these?" Ryan pointed out.

Helen smiled. "And you say that now, after punching the boss to death?"

"Ha ha. Alright, I'll test them out right now," Ryan said, laughing and nodding his head.

"Fire Aura..."

Almost immediately, the gauntlets burst into flames. The fire originated from the magic stones. Ryan shook his hands in surprise upon feeling the heat on his fists.

He instinctively shook his hands and took a step back.

Then he stood still, staring at the gloves burning with fire with a mixture of awe and doubt.

"What's wrong, Ryan? Take them off!" Mirian said, startled.

"Are they actually hurting you?" Helen chimed in, approaching with a worried expression.

Ryan looked at them more closely. "Wait. It's not that. I just felt a lot of heat, but I had to get used to it. That's all."

"Dummy, don't scare us like that," Helen grumbled.

Mirian sighed.

Then Ryan deactivated Fire Aura and began checking his stats, noticing how now, with the title and his new weapon, his attributes had increased despite being only a support class.

But as he looked, he noticed a symbol beside his class.

When he pressed it, the system screen updated immediately.

Showing that he could now choose between two categories.

'I was excited about the gauntlets, but now... This is the class change!'

[Select Class Change]

[Healer - Priest]

Ryan crossed his arms for a moment and began analyzing the characteristics of each one. The Healer specializes solely in healing; it's the most common choice since a support doesn't need to fight.

Although the Priest doesn't have an additional healing skill, it focuses more on the group's strength: debuffs for enemies and buffs that help by increasing mana, psyche, and defense.

'If I want to keep fighting, the Priest suits me much better, even if I have to stick with the basic healing skill as a support.'

After reflecting for just a few more seconds, Ryan selected the Priest class. Suddenly, his body lit up.

Support Class → Priest

[Congratulations, you are now a Priest.]

[New Unique Skills Acquired]

› Magic Barrier: Increases the target's magic power.

› Psyche Boost: Increases the target's mana by 40%.

› Mind Touch: Grants immunity to curses and disorientation.

› Reveal Hidden: Allows the user to see targets with stealth skills.

› Almighty: Increases all stats of the target by 20%.

'With this and the support skills, I won't have any problem with the group. After all, we made it here without me even having a class.'

"Alright, let's go," Ryan said, turning to the girls.

They advanced through the floors, continuing to fight just as they had so far.

Ryan managed to level up as he moved forward.

Level: 63 → 64

Level: 64 → 65

Once they entered the 49th floor, Ryan activated his Fire Aura and began to fight. He was capable of killing monsters with his fists, though he wasn't as fast.

Level: 65 → 66

Level: 66 → 67

And Helen and Mirian finished off almost all of them.

"Do you want us to leave you more?" Mirian asked, pulling back her bowstring.

"No need," Ryan replied. "I just want us to reach the first floor quickly. Besides, we've already achieved a goal, haven't we?"

"Yeah," Mirian reflected. "Well... I suppose so. It's not like a pair of gauntlets is exactly suitable for a healer."

Helen snorted and rested her sword on her shoulder. "Tsk. Don't complain. We're strong enough already, Mirian. Whether Ryan uses a staff or not won't be a problem."

"Well, you're right," Mirian admitted.

And so they descended, until finally reaching the first floor of the dungeon.

Ryan accumulated a lot of experience and reached Level 70 along the way, but when they reached the first floor, instead of stopping to distribute his points, everyone stood motionless, thoroughly distracted now that they had realized something very important.

"If this dungeon is in the sky, how the hell are we supposed to get down!" Helen yelled, staring at the open rift of the dungeon portal.

Mirian pointed out calmly, "Well, we have to jump. There's no other way."

"Jump? Stop joking around, please, Mirian," Ryan intervened, stepping closer to the portal.

"It's not a joke..." Mirian insisted. "We're S-rank heroes. We won't die from this height. I think."

"What do you mean 'I think'?!" Ryan questioned. "No. Absolutely not, we are not doing that."

"Calm down, calm down. Don't worry," Mirian smiled mischievously. "By the way, I wanted to tell you something before we leave: when we get to the city, don't use your skills in public, or the Church will turn you into enemies of humanity."

'Church?' Before Ryan could respond, Mirian wrapped her arms around both of them as she walked to the edge of the dungeon portal and pushed them, jumping along with them.

"What...!" Ryan screamed.

The three of them exited the portal and began falling rapidly.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

The wind whipped against their bodies as they fell at top speed.

"Kyaaaaaa! You damn psychopath! Why did you do that?!" Helen was quite furious as she screamed in a mixture of anger and fear.

"And why the hell are you smiling?!" Ryan yelled at Mirian.

Mirian yelled back at the wind, "I can barely hear you!"

After a few moments of free fall, land, trees, and what appeared to be a lake finally came into view.

"Shit! Almighty! Physical Enhancement!" Ryan roared and cast his spells.

Everyone's attributes increased. Mirian, who was falling calmly, summoned her bow and pulled a rope out of the pouch at her waist.

"Mirian! Do something!" Helen yelled.

"I'm already doing it!"

Mirian wrapped her rope around Helen and Ryan, tying them to her body so the three of them would stay together.

Then Mirian smiled, and her expression shifted as she raised her bow.

"Ghost Arrow."

Several arrows shot toward the lake. When they reached the point Mirian had set as a target, they vanished.

Ryan blinked.

"What the fuck?!"

For an instant, everything vanished.

And the next second...

SPLAAAAASH!

The three of them appeared directly over the lake and sank several meters underwater.

"Ha ha ha! That was fun!" Mirian began to laugh, splashing in the water.

Helen swam over and smacked her on the head. "Idiot! Don't you ever do something like that again!"

They all climbed out of the water, completely soaked. Helen and Mirian stripped down to their underwear and left their clothes to dry.

Mirian looked hesitantly. "Ryan hasn't said anything... Is he angry?"

"How could he not be angry?!" Helen snapped. "Idiot, we almost died!" She scolded Mirian again.

"And how else did you think we were going to leave the dungeon?" Mirian grumbled and pouched her cheeks. "This was all I could think of, plus we're fine, right Ryan?"

"Enough!" Ryan intervened angrily. "Since I used buffs on you and there's no longer any danger, you know what's going to happen, don't you?"

"..."

Mirian's expression turned from a smile to feeling guilty and scolded.

"But I didn't do anything, I'm angry too," Helen grumbled, trying to defend herself.

"Yeah, I know. That's why there will be a punishment for Mirian," Ryan declared.

Mirian puffed her cheeks. "What? That's not fair. I just wanted us to get out of the dungeon."

Ryan smiled and pointed his finger at them. "Helen, I order you to give Mirian ten spankings! And to you, suicidal archer, I order you to let yourself be spanked!"

"Ha ha ha!" Helen laughed and approached Mirian with a mischievous grin.

Mirian blushed and backed away. "I... I can't... I can't move my body..."
