The night was unnaturally silent. Even though the moon hung high in the sky, its light seemed unable to reach the earth. A strange darkness slowly spread across the land, swallowing the forests, the mountains, and the distant horizon.
The cold wind moved through the trees, but it carried something else with it… something heavy and terrifying.
Aria stood at the edge of the mountain cliff, staring at the dark sky. Beside her stood Rowan, his eyes fixed on the same point in the distance.
For the past few days, the presence of Shadow Realm energy had been increasing. But tonight felt different.
Much worse.Rowan suddenly spoke in a low voice.
"This power… it's not normal."
Aria crossed her arms, her expression serious.
"What do you mean?"
Rowan took a deep breath, trying to understand the strange energy surrounding them.
"This isn't just Shadow King's power."
Aria slowly turned toward him.
"Then whose power is it?"
Before Rowan could answer, the sky suddenly trembled.A deep rumbling sound echoed across the mountains like distant thunder. The ground beneath their feet began to shake violently. Trees bent as if an invisible storm had struck the forest.
Then it happened.
A massive crack appeared in the sky.
It tore through the clouds like a wound in reality itself.
A portal.
A gateway to the Shadow Realm.
Dark energy poured out of the rift like black smoke, spreading across the sky and swallowing the moonlight completely.
Rowan's eyes widened.
"No… this can't be happening."Aria looked up at the massive tear in the sky.
"What is it?"
Rowan's voice became tense.
"This power… it's far stronger than Shadow King."
Suddenly, something moved inside the portal.
At first, only two glowing red eyes appeared within the darkness.
Then a shape slowly began to emerge.
A massive shadow figure stepped out of the portal, surrounded by swirling black mist. The darkness itself seemed to obey his presence.
When the figure fully appeared, the air turned cold.Unnaturally cold.
Even the wind stopped moving.
The creature floated above the sky, looking down at the world below.
Then a deep voice echoed across the land.
"So… this world still exists."
The voice was calm, but it carried overwhelming power.
Aria instinctively stepped back.
Rowan whispered in disbelief.
"That voice… impossible."
Aria looked at him.
"You know who it is?"Rowan's face had turned pale.
He slowly spoke the name.
"Abyss Lord."
The moment that name was spoken, the darkness around them grew heavier.
Abyss Lord.
The most feared being of the Shadow Realm.
A creature even more powerful than the Shadow King.
Thousands of years ago, the ancient guardians had sealed him deep within the Abyss because his power was too destructive to exist in any world.
He was meant to remain imprisoned forever.But now…
He had returned.
The Abyss Lord looked around the world slowly, as if examining it.
Then he laughed quietly.
"Shadow King truly is pathetic."
His glowing eyes burned with dark energy.
"After all these centuries, he still failed to conquer this fragile world."
He raised one hand.
Immediately, the darkness around him began to twist and move.
From the swirling shadows, dozens… then hundreds… of Shadow Creatures began to emerge.They fell from the sky and landed in the forest below, their monstrous forms crawling across the ground.
The peaceful forest turned into a battlefield within seconds.
Rowan quickly drew his sword.
"This is bad."
Aria tightened her grip on her weapon.
"We'll stop them."
But suddenly, the Abyss Lord turned his gaze toward them.
His glowing red eyes locked onto Aria.
It felt as if he could see straight into her soul.
Then he spoke."Dragon Guardian."
Aria froze.
Her heart skipped a beat.
How did he know?
Abyss Lord smiled slowly.
"I know everything."
He gently lifted his hand again.
A massive wave of dark energy exploded outward.
The mountain shook violently as part of the cliff collapsed into rubble.
Rowan struggled to keep his balance.
"This power… it's insane."
Aria felt it too.The overwhelming pressure.
This enemy was far stronger than anything they had ever faced before.
Abyss Lord slowly descended from the sky, hovering above the battlefield.
"I have waited thousands of years," he said calmly.
His voice echoed like a whisper of death.
"Waiting for the moment I could finally destroy this world."
Suddenly, he raised both hands toward the sky.
Dark energy erupted from his body like a storm.
The entire sky turned black.The moon disappeared behind a curtain of shadows.
The world was swallowed by darkness.
Rowan looked up, his expression filled with determination.
"If we don't stop him now… the entire world will fall."
Abyss Lord laughed again.
"You think you can stop me?"
His eyes glowed brighter.
"You don't even understand what I truly am."
Behind him, another enormous portal opened.
But this one was even darker than the first.From the depths of that portal, gigantic Shadow Beasts began to emerge.
Their roars shook the mountains.
Aria stepped forward.
Fear still existed in her heart… but so did determination.
"I don't care how strong you are," she said firmly.
"I won't let you destroy this world."
At that exact moment, a thunderbolt split the sky.
A powerful roar echoed across the mountains.
A dragon's roar.The Abyss Lord slowly turned his head toward the sound.
For the first time, a hint of curiosity appeared in his eyes.
"Oh… a dragon."
A cruel smile spread across his face.
"Now this is becoming interesting."
Dark flames began to swirl around him.
"Because now…"
The Shadow Creatures roared across the battlefield.
The wind howled.
And the sky trembled.
"The real war begins."Aria realized something terrifying in that moment.
Shadow King was never the true enemy.
He was only the beginning.
The real nightmare had finally arrived.
The Abyss Lord had returned.
