Chapter 67 - When Void Touches Light”

The sky… broke.

Not cracked.

Not shattered.

It collapsed.

A deafening roar tore through the heavens as the ripped open wider than ever before. Darkness didn't just spill out—

It flooded the world.

The air turned heavy.

Breathing became difficult.

Even the ground beneath them began to sink as if reality itself was being crushed under an unseen force.

And then—

He descended.

Not fully.

Not completely.

But enough.

A massive silhouette emerged halfway through the裂, its form unstable yet overwhelmingly real. The single, colossal eye burned like a dying star—ancient, merciless, and filled with something far worse than hatred.

Indifference.

As if everything below… meant nothing.

Aria's fingers tightened around Rowan's hand.

Her heartbeat pounded violently in her chest.

"…He's… here…"

The Dragon King lowered his head slightly, his massive wings trembling under the pressure.

"Not fully manifested… but even this presence alone—"

His voice hardened.

"—can destroy this world."

The First Strike

Without warning—

The Void Emperor moved.

A single pulse from that enormous eye—

And the world bent.

BOOOOOOM—

An invisible force slammed into the battlefield, erasing everything in its path. Mountains in the distance crumbled instantly. The ground split open like fragile glass.

"MOVE!!" Rowan shouted.

He pulled Aria close and leaped back just as the space they stood on collapsed into nothingness.

Not destroyed.

Not broken.

Just… gone.

Aria's breath shook.

"…What was that…?"

Rowan's eyes darkened.

"…Erasure."

A Power Beyond War

The Void Emperor didn't attack again immediately.

He simply watched.

Observed.

As if studying them.

Then—

A voice echoed.

Not from above.

Not from the裂.

But from everywhere.

"Insignificant beings…"

The words carried no anger.

No emotion.

Only truth.

"You defy what cannot be defied."

The darkness around Rowan flickered violently.

His red mark burned brighter than ever before.

Aria noticed immediately.

"…Rowan…"

He clenched his fist tightly.

"…I can feel it…"

His voice dropped.

"…He's trying to take control again."

The Mark Awakens

The crimson mark on Rowan's chest suddenly spread—

Like veins of fire crawling across his skin.

But this time—

It wasn't just flame.

Black threads of void energy intertwined with it, creating something unstable… something dangerous.

"ROWAN!" Aria grabbed him tightly.

His body trembled.

"…Don't… let go…"

His voice cracked.

"…No matter what happens…"

The Void Emperor's eye narrowed slightly.

"Ah…"

A hint of interest.

"The vessel resists again."

The pressure increased instantly.

Rowan dropped to one knee.

"Ghh—!!"

Darkness surged toward him from the sky, trying to pull him upward—back into the裂.

Back into the Void.

Aria's Resolve

"No!!"

Aria stepped forward—

Again.

And again.

And again.

Even as the ground broke beneath her.

Even as her body screamed in pain.

Golden light erupted from her—brighter than before.

Not just power.

But will.

"You're not taking him!!"

Her voice shook the battlefield.

The light pushed back against the descending darkness, clashing violently in the air.

For a moment—

They held.

The Dragon King's Gamble

"This won't work…" the Dragon King growled.

His golden eyes sharpened.

"…Not like this."

He spread his wings wide.

Ancient power gathered around him, flames rising in a massive spiral.

"If we let him fully manifest—everything ends."

A pause.

Then—

"I'll open a path."

Aria's eyes widened.

"…What do you mean—?"

But Rowan already understood.

"…You're going to force him back…"

The Dragon King smirked slightly.

"Not back."

His flames roared louder.

"—down."

Clash of Three Powers

"ARIA!" Rowan shouted.

She looked at him instantly.

Their eyes met.

No words were needed.

She nodded.

Golden light surged.

Rowan stood up once more—forcing his body to move despite the void tearing at him from within.

Crimson flames exploded around him.

This time—

They didn't clash with the darkness.

They absorbed it.

Turned it.

Controlled it.

His eyes burned brighter than ever before.

"…Let's end this… together."

Aria stepped beside him.

"…Together."

Above them—

The Void Emperor watched.

Silently.

The Final Push (For Now)

"NOW!!" the Dragon King roared.

A massive beam of dragon fire shot into the裂, colliding directly with the Emperor's form.

At the same time—

Aria and Rowan moved.

Light and flame spiraled together, forming a massive pillar of energy that shot upward.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM—

The collision shook the heavens.

Darkness screamed.

For the first time—

The Void Emperor reacted.

His eye narrowed sharply.

"You dare—"

CRACK—

The裂 began to close.

Slowly.

Violently.

The Emperor's form destabilized.

Not defeated.

Not destroyed.

But—

pushed back.

Silence… Before the Storm

The light faded.

The flames died down.

The sky… slowly returned.

The裂 sealed completely.

And just like that—

He was gone.

But Not Defeated

Rowan collapsed forward—

Aria caught him instantly.

"Rowan!!"

He was breathing.

Barely.

But alive.

His mark… still glowing.

Faintly.

Dangerously.

The Dragon King landed heavily nearby.

"…This isn't over."

His voice was low.

Serious.

Aria looked up at the sky.

"…I know."

A pause.

Her grip on Rowan tightened.

"…Next time…"

Her eyes hardened.

"…we won't just push him back."

Final Line

Far beyond their world—

Inside the endless Void—

The Emperor's eye opened once more.

And this time—

He was smiling.

"Prepare…"

"Next time… I won't be incomplete."
