In his youth, Danzo was a genuine Kage-level powerhouse. Even in his old age, he wasn't someone an ordinary Uchiha clan member could handle.
Among the Uchiha present today, the only one who could securely defeat him was Jie Uchiha. Even Fugaku Uchiha, if he chose not to use his Mangekyo Sharingan, would likely have to endure a bitter struggle and suffer a bit to take Danzo down.
"Danzo, you never thought there would come a day when you'd be pushed to this extent by the Uchiha clan, did you?" Jie Uchiha said indifferently, looking at the old man.
"I only regret that I didn't insist on sending your entire Uchiha clan to the battlefield back then." With the situation already set in stone, Danzo's mind calmed down. He glanced at Jie Uchiha and spoke evenly.
"If those are your last words, then take that regret to hell with you," Jie Uchiha sneered, his tone flat.
Jie Uchiha vanished from his spot. In an instant, dozens of corporeal clones surrounded Danzo completely.
Seeing the clones, Danzo's eyes instantly grew incredibly grave. How could he not recognize this sword technique? It was the signature move of his former subordinate, Shisui Uchiha. It was precisely because of this technique that Shisui had earned the moniker "Shisui of the Body Flicker."
However, even at his peak, Shisui couldn't create this many solid clones.
"Summoning Jutsu!" Danzo quickly bit his finger, formed the hand seals, and a massive cloud of white smoke erupted. As the smoke cleared, a giant Baku appeared before Jie Uchiha.
"Baku, restrict his movements!" Danzo ordered swiftly.
"So this is the Baku, the monster that devours nightmares. It's even bigger than I imagined." The dozens of Jie Uchiha clones spoke in unison. "Uchiha Style Sword Dance: Flash Severing!"
He knew Danzo possessed this summoning beast and had been keeping his guard up. But seeing the Baku's sheer size in person, Jie Uchiha couldn't help but marvel inwardly. The summoning beasts of the ninja world were simply unreasonable when it came to their proportions. Aside from Hiruzen Sarutobi's Monkey King Enma, who was relatively normal, the rest were completely massive.
Still, the Baku was merely large. As long as one knew its weakness, dealing with it was incredibly easy.
Whoosh! Hearing Danzo's command, the Baku opened its massive maw, and a terrifying suction force surged out. Trees in the back mountain were uprooted, dragging up large clumps of dirt as they were relentlessly pulled into the beast's mouth.
The weaker Uchiha clansmen stumbled and swayed under the overwhelming vacuum. If not for the help of their peers, they likely would have been sucked in as well.
"Fire Release: Dragon Flame Bullet!" Forming the Tiger seal with a single hand, Jie Uchiha took a deep breath.
A split second later, a massive fireball blasted from his mouth, shooting forward with explosive speed. The Baku's suction acted like a powerful Wind Release jutsu. The moment the flames were expelled, they fed on the wind, expanding rapidly and accelerating toward the beast. The intense vacuum stretched the fire, forming the faint shape of a dragon's head. With a silent roar, the inferno plunged directly into the Baku's mouth.
Swallowing the enormous fire dragon, the Baku snapped its jaws shut, its eyes bulging wide. A second later, its eyes rolled back, and its colossal body crashed to the ground before vanishing in a puff of white smoke, forcefully reverse-summoned.
The seemingly unrivaled Baku had been instantly defeated by Jie Uchiha with a single jutsu.
However, even seeing his summon heavily wounded, Danzo's expression didn't change in the slightest. He even seized the opportunity to weave hand seals rapidly.
"Wind Release: Vacuum Serial Waves!" A barrage of compressed air bullets erupted from Danzo's mouth, rocketing toward the real Jie Uchiha.
'He used the Baku to draw my attention and test my true position, huh?'
Danzo's movements hadn't slowed down at all.
The Sword of the Thunder God, glowing with a brilliant white light, slashed through the incoming air bullets, shattering them one by one.
"Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere!" Seeing that the serial waves were ineffective, Danzo immediately changed his strategy. Taking a deep breath, he unleashed an attack several times stronger than the last.
At that exact moment, Jie Uchiha mirrored Danzo's hand seals, instantly forming an equally massive sphere of compressed air. "Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere!"
Jie Uchiha had long since mastered the Shimura clan's Wind Release jutsu. Through his system's rewards over the years and his own research, he had thoroughly perfected both the shape and nature transformation of Wind Release chakra. Coupled with his chakra reserves, which dwarfed Danzo's, the exact same jutsu performed by Jie Uchiha was easily more than twice as powerful.
The two Vacuum Great Spheres collided in midair, but Danzo's attack was instantly swallowed by Jie Uchiha's overwhelming jutsu. Not only that, but after crushing Danzo's attack, Jie's jutsu barely lost any momentum, continuing its fierce trajectory straight toward the old man.
Seeing this, Danzo's expression finally cracked. He hastily dodged to the side, barely avoiding the blast. But before he could even steady his footing, he realized Jie Uchiha had already vanished from his spot.
Cursing inwardly, Danzo immediately scanned his surroundings. Suddenly, a violent crackle of electricity flared behind him, sounding like the chirping of a thousand birds.
Acting on pure instinct, Danzo leaped high into the air. He looked down to see lightning flashing violently in Jie Uchiha's hand. The sound he heard was the intense collision of concentrated Lightning Release chakra.
"You took the bait," Jie Uchiha said, a faint smile touching his lips as he watched Danzo suspended mid-air.
"Chidori Stream: Chidori Sharp Spear!" Jie Uchiha raised his arm slightly. The lightning chakra extended instantly, condensing into a blinding white spear of pure electricity.
Danzo's pupils shrank to pinpricks. He scrambled to evade, but with nothing to push off in mid-air, he was completely defenseless.
Squelch! With a sharp piercing sound, the Chidori Sharp Spear tore through Danzo's chest, impaling his heart directly.
"No!" Hiruzen Sarutobi roared instinctively, his body tensing as he surged forward to save Danzo.
"Lord Hokage, the Konoha Military Police Force is currently apprehending a spy. It would be best if you did not interfere."
Fugaku Uchiha activated his Mangekyo Sharingan. His crimson eyes locked onto Hiruzen Sarutobi, making it perfectly clear that if the Hokage moved, he would strike.
"Mangekyo!" Seeing the complex pattern in Fugaku's eyes, Hiruzen stopped dead in his tracks.
Thanks to Shisui Uchiha's intelligence reports, the Hokage wasn't completely ignorant of the Sharingan's higher forms. It was precisely because he understood what those eyes represented that he didn't dare act rashly.
"Fugaku Uchiha, you've hidden yourself incredibly well," Hiruzen said through gritted teeth.
Fugaku ignored the remark entirely, his crimson Mangekyo staring back coldly. Seeing the Uchiha clan head's absolute guard against him, Hiruzen was so furious he nearly crushed his own teeth. But faced with those eyes, he ultimately abandoned the thought of intervening. With a cold snort, he turned his gaze back to Danzo.
"Cough... hack!"
Impaled by the Chidori Sharp Spear and suspended in the air, Danzo coughed violently. Large mouthfuls of blood spilled from his lips, mixed with charred fragments of his internal organs. With his heart completely pierced, such a catastrophic injury was something even the most legendary medical ninjas in the world would be powerless to heal.
