Chapter 4 - Evaluation 3

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then cursed energy exploded.

The training field trembled as a presence forced its way into existence—vast, violent, and suffocating. The curse that emerged was massive, its body warped and layered with limbs, multiple limbs dragging across the ground as its shrill cry pierced the air.

Geto and shoko took a step back.

"…Grade One," Yaga said calmly. Then, after a brief pause, "Borderline, special grade."

Brief expression of shock showing on the two students faces.

"It's Satoru Gojo I guess" thought Emiya.

Gojo tilted his head.

" Am I getting the main character treatment."

The curse reacted instantly.

The moment it sensed Gojo, it attacked—space warping as its limbs streched and lashed out with overwhelming force.

But.

They never reached him.

An invisible boundary stopped the attack cold.

The curse's limbs trembled, suspended midair, unable to move forward no matter how much cursed energy it poured in.

Gojo sighed. "Man. You guys really need to work on personal space."

He took a single step forward.

The distance between them didn't close.

Infinity.

To the curse, Gojo was infinitely far away.

The curse screamed and forced more power into its body, tearing chunks of earth from the ground and hurling them toward him.

They slowed.

Then stopped.

Then hung in the air like decorations.

Gojo raised a finger. "Okay, that's enough."

He flicked it.

The suspended debris launched forward all at once, pulverizing the curse's torso and slamming it into the barrier with a deafening crash.

Yaga eyes twitching.

Before it could recover, Gojo appeared in front of it.

No movement. No warning.

Just there.

"By the way," he said cheerfully, "I'm already registered as Special Grade."

Yaga didn't correct him.

Gojo placed his palm lightly against the curse's face.

"Blue."

Space collapsed.

The curse didn't explode—it was crushed, its body folding inward as if reality itself had decided it shouldn't exist anymore.

In less than a second, there was nothing left.

Silence fell over the field.

The barrier flickered, struggling, then stabilized.

Shoko stared. "…That's unfair."

Geto narrowed his eyes, jaw tight. "So this is the gap."

Emiya watched quietly, his inner domain completely still—as if acknowledging a predator far above it.

Gojo stretched his arms over his head.

"Evaluation done?"

Yaga exhaled slowly and took a step forward and give Gojo a fist of love.

"…Yes, but try to learn to restrain yourself."

"Ahhhh, how is it my fault I am so awesome old man." Tears appearing in the corner of his eyes.

Everybody rolling there eyes at his narcissism.

Yaga looked at the ruined ground, then at Gojo.

"Try not to grow any faster than this."

Gojo grinned while holding his head.

"Nope."

The barrier faded.

Four first-years stood together

And among them, one stood so far ahead…

That even the future seemed to struggle to catch up.
