Chapter 28 - Speed of burning love part 06

It was around 11:20 at night. No one knew why Shu-Yang had come to the bar. Right after receiving Xiao-Tong's location from Shi-Han, he had disappeared into the shadows like an undercover agent. Because at this moment, he had no police force with him. Shu-Yang had taken medicine to reduce the effects of his allergy, so that even if he held a glass of alcohol during the investigation for some time, it would not affect his body too much.

**But after coming to the bar, it would not be strange for anyone to suspect him if he did not hold a glass of wine in his hand. Shu-Yang had been keeping an eye on a criminal syndicate in various bars for a long time while dressed in civilian clothes. Shu-Yang saw everything that happened in the bar today. But for the sake of the investigation, he did not interfere in the fight between Shi-Han and the girl. If Shu-Yang had stepped between them then, the criminals inside the bar would have become alert beforehand.

**Shu-Yang was a youth of the new generation. Looking at him, there was no reason to suspect that Shu-Yang was a police officer. Most of the boys and girls in the bar were around Shu-Yang's age. Even though the criminals had seen the pistol with Shu-Yang, they were still not afraid of him. They thought Shu-Yang was probably just another criminal like them.

**For almost twenty minutes, Shu-Yang had been searching for Xiao-Tong. But the police force still had not arrived at the bar. In the secret room there, the criminals had taken Xiao-Tong away while she was intoxicated. The room was covered in dim light. In the middle stood a small tea table, and black sofas surrounded it. Several sheets of forbidden drugs, some glasses, and wine bottles were scattered across the table. Small medicine cartons were arranged on the sofa beside it. It seemed the room had been decorated specifically for the criminals' business deals.

**Several young men dressed in black surrounded Xiao-Tong. Opposite her, one man was releasing clouds of nicotine smoke. Extremely intoxicated, Xiao-Tong could not understand what was happening.

Xiao-Tong (laughing): "Hey, who are you people? You're all very happy today too, right? That's why you came to the bar."

**Saying that, she drank wine from a glass on the table, then laughingly said—

"Drink, all of you. Drink as much as you want today, I'll pay the bill."

**The man smoking the cigarette gestured with his hand, trying to signal something to the men surrounding Xiao-Tong. Following the leader's orders, they tightly grabbed both of Xiao-Tong's arms. Another man started approaching Xiao-Tong with an injection in his hand. Yet even then, the crazy Xiao-Tong did not seem afraid. She only stared at everyone with a shocked gaze.

**Just as they were about to inject Xiao-Tong, the door of the secret room was suddenly smashed open and Shu-Yang entered. Pointing a close-gun at them, Shu-Yang said in a firm voice—

Shu-Yang: "Don't move! Let the girl go."

**Seeing the close-gun in Shu-Yang's hand, Xiao-Tong became frightened. The level of intoxication in her body was so high that her head was spinning. Though she had not understood anything until now, she could finally somewhat guess what was happening. Due to fear and intoxication, she could barely gather any strength.

Leader: "Oh little boy, you think you can scare us with that tiny toy close-gun? The girl is our prey. Right in front of you, we'll inject the girl with a high dose of heroin, and you'll see how one claims ownership over their prey."

Shu-Yang: "No! Absolutely not. I'll shoot all of you. Surrender yourselves to the police."

**Ignoring Shu-Yang's words completely, the leader laughed mockingly. Following the leader's orders, the criminals once again moved to inject Xiao-Tong. Suddenly, Xiao-Tong jerked violently. The injection flew somewhere out of the man's hand. Taking this opportunity, Shu-Yang started attacking. About four men surrounded Shu-Yang. Xiao-Tong moved slightly aside and stood beside the sofa. The leader of the four started searching for the injection that had fallen into the darkness.

**Two of the four thugs had pistols, while the other two held sharp knives. Shu-Yang fought quite well, but amidst the attacks of four people alone, he received several punches, kicks, and blows. The leader could not find the injection in the darkness. His mood became extremely bad because his work had been interrupted. In rage, using all the strength in his body, he grabbed the glass wine bottle from the table. Suddenly, the sharp sound of a glass bottle shattering rang out, and a rapid "tut-tut-tut-tut" sound echoed into Shu-Yang's ears. Shu-Yang's entire body trembled violently. Fresh, bright hot blood could clearly be seen flowing down beside his ear over his fair skin.

**It was obvious the leader had struck Shu-Yang on the head from behind. His head had split open, blood was pouring out, and the pain was unbearable. Suddenly, it felt as if the entire world's rotation speed had increased. The shattered wine bottle soaked Shu-Yang's neck with wine. And the moment even a drop of alcohol touched his body, his skin burned painfully. In an instant, Shu-Yang lost consciousness and collapsed weakly over the tea table. His police ID card fell from him onto the floor.

**By now, Xiao-Tong's haze had lessened a little, but her body trembled violently in fear. The only support she had, Shu-Yang, had also collapsed within a moment. Once again, the criminals found the chance to harm Xiao-Tong. This time they faced no difficulty controlling a lone girl. They injected her with a high dose of heroin. At that moment, Xiao-Tong lost consciousness from fear and intoxication.

**As the situation calmed slightly, the leader's eyes fell on Shu-Yang's ID card. Seeing it, the leader suddenly pretended to feel pity—

Leader: "Ahh, such a lovely boy lying here so lifeless. Believe me, my heart is burning. My chest is breaking with sorrow. What a precious gem—a smart police officer from the Special Crime Branch."

**Saying this much, the leader wiped his eyes dramatically. Then immediately faking a smile, he ordered his men—

Leader: "You all remember our oath for the police extermination mission, right? If you do, then right now turn this police officer Shu-Yang into Swiss cheese with bullets, and cut him into pieces with knives. Don't leave even a single bone intact in his body. Give him such a death that no police officer will ever again dare investigate against our gang out of fear."

**The moment the leader finished speaking and stepped toward the door to leave, the sound of police sirens reached their ears from outside.

**Sensing the police presence, the criminals understood there was no doubt Shu-Yang had informed the force long ago. But they had only one ultimate goal—whether they got caught or not, they would kill a police officer before dying. Without wasting a single second, the leader fired at the unconscious Shu-Yang. Once again, Shu-Yang's limp body trembled and collapsed further. Warm blood trickled down from the corner of his soft pink lips. Within moments, the lifeless body of Shu-Yang, whose skin had once glowed like milk mixed with rose petals, took on a horrifying appearance. Blood dripped down, soaking his well-built masculine arm.

**Not receiving any instructions from Shu-Yang, the police force quickly surrounded the entire area of the bar. Before the leader could fire a second shot, he fled in fear of getting caught, leaving Shu-Yang behind. But the police force chased after them.

**Meanwhile, several officers from the force realized something terrible had happened to Shu-Yang because they had received no news from him. Desperately, they started searching for Shu-Yang. But the place where Shu-Yang lay motionless was inside a secret room. As soon as the police operation began, they could not immediately find him. Thus began the fight between life and death for two souls—Shu-Yang and Xiao-Tong.

**Silence filled the inside of the bar, while only the sound of police sirens echoed outside. Within seconds, it was as if everything had stopped. Then several people were seen carrying Shu-Yang's motionless body on a stretcher.

The white cloth spread over the stretcher had become soaked with Shu-Yang's fresh blood. Behind Shu-Yang, another stretcher carried Xiao-Tong.

Within almost ten minutes, the police force rescued Shu-Yang and sent him to the hospital.

**Seeing Shu-Yang in this condition, Jing-Hao forgot all legal responsibilities and duties. His entire world came to a standstill; he lost the ability to speak. Only one thought kept circling in his head now—was Shu-Yang alive, or dead?

Shu-Yang had suffered massive blood loss, and no pulse could be found. Whether he would survive or not was uncertain.

The corridor of Shanghai Government Hospital was filled with 12 thug-like men dressed in black clothes and black sunglasses. However, even though all of them wore black, there was a difference among them. Six wore black shirts, while the other six wore coats over their black shirts. Shi-Han seemed to disappear within the crowd of those huge intimidating men. The girl was extremely nervous. It had been almost an hour since they arrived at the hospital, yet no one knew where these twelve men suddenly came from and settled themselves there. There was no sign of them moving even an inch away from this place.

Shi-Han had never seen them before. She could not understand whether they were standing in front of Jun-Yu's cabin with good intentions or bad intentions. Suddenly, two more thug-like men appeared in the hospital corridor. But their clothes were slightly colorful. At first glance, it was obvious those two were different from the twelve men.

Shi-Han could not properly remember the two men in colorful clothes. But they felt strangely familiar to her. In fact, they were the same two criminals from the bar. Even though Shi-Han did not recognize them, those twelve men recognized them instantly. The moment they saw the two men, six out of the twelve immediately followed after them.

Among the six men chasing the two boys, one separated himself and informed an unknown person over the phone—

"Sir, Prince Jun has been hospitalized."

Hearing just this much, the person on the other side of the phone hurriedly said in a disturbed voice—

"What! What are you saying? What happened to Little Prince??"

The guard replied—

"He lost consciousness some time ago, and a few people were following him. We reached on time, so no major harm happened. Please don't worry. The doctor has given him oxygen and said he should use an inhaler once he regains consciousness."

The person on the other side of the phone spoke in a harsh voice—

"You useless fools! How could my Little Prince lose consciousness while you people were there?? And how did people even manage to follow him? Useless! I've been paying all of you just so I could hear this someday, you idiots!"

The guard understood the deep anger in the voice of the person on the other side of the phone. Thinking something silently to himself, he stayed quiet. The person on the other side controlled himself and said—

"Listen, Tian-Yu, I want updates on Prince Jun's physical condition every single moment. And immediately find out who or which people were following my Prince."

Before Tian-Yu could even respond to the words of the person on the other side of the phone, he noticed several police officers and hospital staff entering the hospital carrying Shu-Yang. Under the neon lights of the hospital, Shu-Yang's pale face was clearly visible. Tian-Yu recognized Shu-Yang very well. Hurriedly, before the person on the other side could cut the call—

Tian-Yu: "Sir! Sir, one moment. There's another important piece of news. Special Crime Branch police officer Shu-Yang has also been admitted to Prince Jun's hospital. From the whispers I overheard, it seems someone shot him and he also suffered a head injury."

The moment Tian-Yu finished speaking, the call was disconnected. The phone automatically slipped from the hand of the person on the other side and shattered against the floor. Two drops of water rolled down onto the ground, and losing all the strength in his body, the person on the other side collapsed heavily onto the floor.
