Beatrix's eyes widened as she stared at Liam. "How the hell did Director Elena accept that man to work here? He's a monster under human skin!"
Liam shrugged his shoulders, trying to keep his voice even. "Maybe because he paid a donation or something."
He watched her hold her chin, fingers tapping lightly while she thought it over. That guy had to be after something inside Ark Academy.
He was too much of a manipulator to show up and do the work himself instead of sending someone else to handle his dirty business.
Liam could see the wheels turning in her head, and it made his stomach twist a little. He knew she was right to be suspicious.
Then she gave a firm nod. "I'm joining Ark Academy too. I need to watch what he's really after."
Liam looked at her and felt helpless. He had promised to help her kill her father, so now he had to help her get into the academy.
