Chapter 17 - Summoning

Inside the captain's cabin, Linlin murmured incoherently, "Mama… haaah… mamamama… haaah… aahahhh… mamamama…"

A dazed, blissful expression rested on her face. Her eyes were completely unfocused, her tongue parted slightly between her lips, and faint tear tracks marked her flushed cheeks.

Her body showed the toll as well. Rope impressions and bite marks dotted her skin, and she trembled all over from lingering aftershocks of pleasure, leaking out thick, white semen out of her swollen pussy that formed a puddle between her legs.

Exhaustion left her sprawled where she lay, barely able to gather herself after the intensity of the moment.

Looking at Charlotte Linlin in such a state, Zechs allowed a quiet, satisfied smile to form.

"Fufu… Asmodeus Zechs: 80. Charlotte Linlin: 0."

That was the final score.

They had continued the game for eighty rounds, and without exception, she had lost every single one. Having defeated Linlin so completely, Zechs couldn't have been more satisfied, especially after dominating her throughout the entire night.

Watching his clearly pleased host, Miss System offered a kind reminder:

[Host, you should leave before she regains consciousness. When she wakes up, she's going to be furious.]

'Furious would be an understatement,' Zechs thought, a chill suddenly running down his spine.

Without wasting another moment, he hurriedly dressed and slipped out of the cabin on tiptoes, careful not to make a sound that might draw Linlin's attention, who was lost in the euphoria and seemed to be falling asleep.

Gently closing the cabin door behind him, Zechs let out a quiet sigh. 'Let's hope she isn't too angry when she wakes up.'

[Don't worry, Host. I've already prepared a coffin for you…] Miss System remarked darkly.

'That's not funny, Miss System. Do you really want your host to die that badly?' Zechs asked as he made his way toward the main deck.

[It's not that I want you to die. It's more that you keep courting death.]

'Courting death…' Zechs thought, chuckling a little. 'That's something I haven't heard in a long time.'

As he reached the main deck, he noticed that the night was still deep.

'It's probably still three or four in the morning,' he thought and looked at the state on the deck.

The wild celebration from earlier had finally burned itself out, and most of the crew lay sprawled across the deck, asleep wherever they had collapsed after a night of heavy drinking and reckless revelry.

Zechs nodded to the few sailors still awake and steering the ship.

They returned the greeting with knowing smirks that seemed to suggest they had heard more than enough during the night. Zechs, however, had thick skin. He accepted their looks with pride, then picked up a half-empty bottle of rum and poured himself a drink as he continued his conversation with Miss System. 'Anyway… show me the wonderful rewards for my hard work,' he said.

[Hard work?] Miss System said sarcastically. Clearly, she didn't consider anything her host had been doing to qualify as 'hard work,' especially given how much he had been enjoying himself.

Even so, despite the sarcasm, Miss System carried out her duty perfectly. Moments later, she displayed the generous rewards he had earned from his so-called "efforts."

[Ding! The host had his second Sexual encounter with Charlotte Linlin.

Target: Charlotte Linlin.

Character Relevance: Platinum Class.

Calculating rewards…

Reward Earned: 7,500 Attribute Points, 7 Bloodline Points, Gold-tier Character Summoning Card.]

'Oh? Another Summoning Card,' Zechs blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected to receive yet another Character Summoning Card. And once again, it was Gold-tier, which meant the character it contained should be on the same level as thatman.

Feeling a surge of anticipation, Zechs focused his attention on the card and froze, 'Well… this character…'

Once again, the figure on the card was a silhouette, but as an experienced reader of 'Silhouette Piece,' Zechs quickly recognized who it was. And upon realizing the character's identity, he couldn't help but wonder, 'Is she really worthy of a Gold-tier rating?'

The reason Zechs used the pronoun she was that the silhouette clearly belonged to a woman. That meant the character he would summon was female. But after recognizing who it was, he couldn't help but question the classification.

In terms of strength alone, she didn't seem worthy of a Gold-tier rating. If he were being honest, her abilities placed her closer to Iron-tier, or at best, Silver-tier if her Devil Fruit or her race is taken into account.

And yet, the System had labeled her as Gold-tier.

That made him wonder whether a character's tier assessment was determined by more than just combat power. 'Perhaps strength is really not the only factor involved.'

As for what those other factors might be… Zechs could guess a few.

[Host, you're correct. A Character is not assessed into a tier based on only one factor. While strength is indeed an important factor, it is only one of several. Plot relevance, race, devil-fruit power, and several other factors are also used to make an overall assessment.] Miss System confirmed his suspicion.

'I see…' Zechs thought. 'If plot relevance, race, devil-fruit power, and so on are indeed taken into account, then… she really can be considered a Gold-tier character.'

Putting all that aside, Zechs couldn't help but feel grateful.

'Thank you so much, Miss System… with this, I might be able to enjoy an Oyakodon soon,' he thought eagerly.

The reason was simple: the character belonged to the Charlotte family, one of Linlin's many daughters from the original story. Since it's one of Linlin's daughters, a variety of Oyakodon can soon be eaten.

Of course, without the System's assistance, something like this would have been impossible.

[Host, the rewards are not decided by me.] Miss System replied flatly, refusing to take any credit.

'Then it must have been that good luck kiss that made the difference,' Zechs said, still trying to attribute the result to her.

[…] Miss System chose to remain silent.

'Silence means agreement,' Zechs thought with a smirk. 'Looks like we might have to make those good-luck kisses a regular thing to quickly make the dream of Oyakodon orgy come true.'

[Host, you are being too greedy. And that was a one-time exception.] Miss System responded firmly. She had no intention of repeating that again.

'Why, Miss System? Don't you want to give the world's most handsome man good-luck kisses?' Zechs asked with a pout.

[No. I have no interest in giving the world's most shameless man anymore good-luck kisses.] Miss System replied without hesitation.

"Tch…" Zechs clicked his tongue.

The sound of his tongue clicking drew the attention of a few nearby men. They looked at him curiously.

"Aniki… what's wrong?" one of them asked.

Zechs lifted the empty rum bottle. "The rum's finished."

"There's more in the storage," another replied. "Should we bring some out for you, Aniki?"

As the future husband of their captain, Zechs held a position of respect among them, almost like an older brother.

"Nah… forget it. I think I'll go take a bath or something," Zechs said.

With that, he manifested his wings, spread them wide, and took off, flying back toward his own ship.

The pirates aboard Linlin's ship simply shrugged and returned to their work.

After locking the cabin door behind him and drawing the curtains, Zechs settled onto the bed.

He wasn't planning to sleep.

Instead, his attention was fixed on the second Character Summoning Card he had just obtained.

Unlike the first card, this one tempted him. He studied it for a moment before muttering to himself, "Should I summon her while we're still on the ship?"

He was seriously considering it.

The reason he hadn't immediately summoned the previous character was because of that man's strength. The moment he appeared, his overwhelming presence would have drawn attention, raised suspicions, and invited unwanted questions.

And he really doesn't intend to bring him out until they reach an island or something.

But the woman contained in this second card was different. She wasn't particularly powerful, and her summoning wouldn't trigger any alarming aura or disturbance.

"In that case… let's summon her."

Having made his decision, Zechs activated the summoning process.

[Ding! Character Summoning Card (Gold-tier) is being used…

Character Name: Charlotte Pudding

Character Description: Charlotte Pudding is the 35th daughter and 76th child of the Charlotte Family, an officer of the Big Mom Pirates, and a hybrid between a human and a member of the Three-Eye Tribe.

Character Relevancy: Gold

At what stage of her life would you like to summon Charlotte Pudding?]

That was right, the Gold-tier character Zechs now had the chance to summon Charlotte Pudding.

She was the woman once arranged to be Vinsmoke Sanji's fiancée as part of the political alliance between the Charlotte and Vinsmoke families in the canon. Later, she would even be kidnapped by the Blackbeard Pirates for her potential ability to help decipher the Poneglyphs.

Considering her Three-Eye heritage, her canon relevancy, and her Devil Fruit ability, her Gold-tier classification made sense, even if her combat strength alone wouldn't justify it.

Because of Zechs' involvement with Linlin, Pudding would likely never be born in this world. Unless Linlin somehow broke away from him and returned to her original life of constantly expanding her family through pregnancy, which was clearly unlikely, Pudding's existence would simply never come to be.

In a way, that was rather unfortunate; after all, she was such a kind and sweet girl, and Vinsmoke Sanji's salvation.

Fortunately, Zechs now possessed her Summoning Card and was about to bring her into this world himself.

Faced with the question about the stage of her life, Zechs grew curious.

"Miss System… how exactly does this work?" he asked. "Is the difference only about age, or does it affect other things as well? For example, would there be any real difference if I summoned her at twenty-five instead of ten?"

[The summoned character will retain all knowledge, memories, experiences, abilities, and strength up to the selected stage of their life.] Miss System replied.

"Ah… I see…" Zechs blinked, his expression tightening into a frown.

Abilities and strength were one thing, and that made sense… but the memories and experience aspect made the choice far more complicated.

After all, memories and experiences shape a person's personality, values, emotions, and attachments. If that were the case, then summoning Pudding at a certain point in her life might mean she would still carry feelings or loyalties from that time.

And if she happened to retain an attachment to Vinsmoke Sanji… That was definitely not something Zechs wanted to deal with.

The idea of NTRing Sanji's does sound amusing and fits up right his alley, but the timing made it impossible. After all, it would still be more than thirty years before that boy is even conceived.

Putting that aside, loyalty was still a major concern. Zechs definitely didn't want Pudding to be loyal to Linlin.

'Although… her loyalty to Linlin was more fear than anything else. In truth, she even resented her mother.'

Because of that, he wasn't particularly worried about Pudding remaining devoted to Linlin. But loyalty itself remained an issue. What if she wasn't loyal to him and even did things to actively harm him? And it wouldn't be a problem with her alone; the same concern would apply to anyone he summoned in the future.

It was a risk he couldn't ignore; he needed a clear answer, so he asked Miss System, "What about their loyalty? Will they be loyal to me through the System's power?"

[System doesn't assure loyalty. It must be earned by yourself. The only assurance is that they cannot reveal the fact that they were summoned using the System's power.]

Miss System's explanation made him pout. "That really does make things more troublesome…"

Especially since this was Pudding. She was an excellent actress, so convincing that it would be difficult to tell whether her words were genuine or simply another performance.

'Should I summon her as a child?' he wondered.

[Host, should I dial 911?] Miss System asked immediately.

Zechs was speechless, 'Miss System… isn't this a different world with a different set of laws? Or rather… I am already a pirate…' Then he added, 'Besides, I'm not actually planning to summon her as a child.'

Summoning Pudding at a young age did have its advantages. At that stage, she wouldn't carry strong attachments to anyone, nor would she have that troublesome therapy needed personality of hers, and a child's loyalty would be much easier to shape.

The problem, however, was that she likely wouldn't possess her Devil Fruit ability either, and without that power, much of her value would be lost.

Thinking of Pudding's Devil Fruit Power…

'With her Devil Fruit ability… she could actually become a key asset for me,' he thought.

With the powers of the Memo Memo Fruit, manipulating memories would become possible, not only for others but even for summoned individuals. Used properly, that ability could be extremely valuable.

'I just need to make sure she becomes loyal to me,' he concluded…

As for how he planned to handle it… There was a method. In fact, it was the same approach he had used to win over Linlin.

With that in mind, Zechs made his decision.

"Miss System, proceed with the summoning. As for the stage of her life… set it to a point before the talks regarding the marriage alliance between the Vinsmoke Family and the Charlotte Family conclude."

[Character Summoning commencing… Character Summoning in progress…] Miss System initiated the process.

The Character Summoning Card in his hand immediately began to glow and left his hand as it floated into the air. Then it started to expand, its shape shifting from a small deck card into the outline of a human figure.

If the cabin door hadn't been locked and the curtains tightly drawn, the glow would have been visible from outside and attracted a lot of attention. Fortunately, Zechs had been careful about that.

Before long, the glow gradually faded, and the girl's form became clear.

She stood before him, about 166 centimeters tall, with an innocent face, fair skin, and bright blue eyes. Her light brown hair was styled in twin-tails, with swept bangs framing her forehead. She wore a white chef's hat and white chef's cloths over her curvy body, and in her hand was a spatula still coated with melted chocolate.

Drip…

A drop of melted chocolate slid from the spatula in her hand and fell onto the wooden floor.

The girl blinked, her expression filled with confusion. "Um? What happened? Where did all the chocolate go?"

Just moments ago, she had been working with chocolate at her residence on Cacao Island. But in an instant, everything in front of her had vanished.

Before she could make sense of the situation, a voice spoke.

"Welcome, Charlotte Pudding."

The sudden greeting drew her attention immediately. Her gaze fell on the man before her, and caution flashed across her face. Yet the moment she looked at his face, her heart gave an unexpected thump.

Ba-dump!

'This man… isn't he a little too handsome?'

Charlotte Pudding was not someone who was easily swayed by appearances. Yet even she had to admit that the man standing before her was the most handsome she had ever seen. There was something about his aura that stirred even her cold heart, and for a brief moment, she found herself staring at his face without blinking, almost as if mesmerized.

'How beautiful… I can't help but keep looking…' the thought crossed her mind as a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

Watching her reaction, Zechs smiled inwardly. 'It works every time…'

Pudding's unusual reaction was, of course, the result of Zechs actively using his Charm trait. However, he was limiting it to Charm alone and wasn't releasing any pheromones, since he didn't want her to get aroused at the moment.

He believed that to handle Pudding, 'Charm' and 'Persuasion' would be more than enough, and seeing that the effect was working on her, Zechs felt more confident and asked her teasingly, "How long are you going to keep staring at me like that?"

The girl blinked, startled, "What was I just…?" and as she realized what she was doing, she became embarrassed, and apologized, "S-sorry…"

At the same time, she scolded herself inwardly, 'Pudding… what are you thinking?!!! You don't even know him!!!'

Despite the turmoil in her mind, she quickly forced herself to calm down, or at least tried to suppress 'certain' thoughts of her, even as her heart continued to beat faster.

As a master of deception and a skilled actress, she was able to smooth her expression into a soft, innocent look and asked gently, "Um… w-who are you?"

At the same time, her eyes moved around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. "W-Where am I?"

'Was I kidnapped?' The possibility crossed her mind.

After all, she was one of the daughters—her mother's favorite daughter, as she preferred to believe—of Yonkō Big Mom. It wouldn't be unusual for someone with a grudge against Big Mom to target one of her children. And compared to many of her siblings, she could easily be seen as a softer target since she doesn't have much combat power. The idea wasn't unreasonable, and a trace of caution rose within her.

The idea was frightening. For someone to infiltrate deep into Big Mom's territory, take her away without her even noticing, and possibly escape afterward, that alone was enough to send a chill down her spine.

But when her eyes returned to the man in front of her, that tension faded almost immediately. There was something about his face that drew her in, making her momentary fear dissolve.

'If I were kidnapped by him, it might not be so bad,' the thought slipped into her mind.

The next instant, she felt warmth rush to her face and quickly tried to steady herself, suppressing any reaction before it could show and embarrass her.

Zechs remained silent for a moment before answering her questions.

"Who am I?… Well," he said casually, "you could say I'm your stepfather."

"S-stepfather?" Pudding's eyes widened in shock.

Before she could even process the statement, Zechs continued, dropping another revelation.

"As for where you are… you're aboard my pirate ship, of course. But 'where' isn't really the right question here." He paused slightly. "The real question is when you are. And the answer is… the year is 1491. You're in the past, fifty years before your original time."

"W-what?" Pudding stammered, momentarily too stunned to respond properly.
