On July 25th, the weather in the Chester suburbs was wonderful. The sun shone surprisingly brightly, and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky.
Richard looked out the window over breakfast, thinking it was criminal to stay indoors in such weather. He had no interest in simply strolling down the street, so he considered the advisability of buying some kind of vehicle to take around the estate.
Buy a go-kart? It's not much fun to drive around a field or garden. This type of vehicle requires a level surface. And racing back and forth on a paved road isn't as fun.
Richard was leaning toward the quad bike, which he thought would be worth taking to Mr. Weasley's workshop for a tune-up. It would be enough to eliminate the need for fuel. Perhaps he should add some durability to the machine to prevent parts from breaking.
"Beautiful weather," the Duke said at length.
- Agreed. The weather is wonderful. Do you think, Dad, I could buy a quad bike in Chester?
- Unlikely. Richie, why do you need such a miracle?
- To ride, to have fun.
"London has everything. But I have another proposal: you can come hunting with me. We have buggies, you can ride in one of them."
- Good idea. And when is the event scheduled?
- On Saturday.
- The day after tomorrow, then... And the weather is nice today.
- I think the wonderful weather will continue until Sunday.
- Dad, will they let me shoot a gun?
- Only at a shooting range under the supervision of a trainer or with a sport air rifle.
"Not bad. An airgun would be fine with me. I'd be happy to join you on the hunt."
John entered the dining room, holding a cordless telephone. Approaching Richard, the valet said:
- Mr. Richie, Harry Potter is calling you.
- Thank you, John.
Richard picked up the phone and held it to his ear.
- Richie listening.
"Richie, hi," Harry's voice was filled with excitement. "I got a letter from Hogwarts!" he exclaimed happily.
- Congratulations, Harry. But I think it's too soon.
"I thought so too. Richie, you said the forester would come to me!"
- Maybe... If you don't answer the letter.
- Didn't you receive a letter from Hogwarts?
"Harry, I believe correspondence is sent out differently at school. You and others like you receive an invitation letter, while others like me receive a teacher. If for some reason a prospective student doesn't respond to the letter, a school representative comes to them."
"But what about the future... forester?!" Harry asked, bewildered.
"My friend, the future doesn't exist," Richard declared confidently. "There was the past, there is the present, and we create the future with our own hands and actions. Remember the 'stones'..."
"Yeah... Stone..." Harry drawled meaningfully. "Exactly! You had an epiphany then too, but you were wrong!"
- The ship was found.
"That's true," Harry agreed. "So what should I do?"
- What do they write in the letter?
"It says here they're expecting my owl with a reply. There's a shopping list for school, but I have almost everything I need. I can also bring an owl, a cat, or a toad to Hogwarts."
"A toad?! How delightful!" Richard commented sarcastically. "My dear friend, you have a huge choice. You can sit still on the soft part of your body and wait for the teacher or the forester to arrive. Or you could borrow my Darth Vader and..."
"Exactly!" Harry exclaimed happily. "Richie, can you lend me Darth Vader so I can send the answer to Hogwarts?"
"Of course, Harry. I'll send you an owl right after breakfast. And one more thing... Do you have any intention of visiting London?"
- Mmm... Yes, you can. What did you want?
"I want to look at some teenage ATVs. I thought it would be interesting to buy a few of them for fun rides."
A sad sigh came from the phone. Harry said:
- I would like to have a moped, but my uncle says that you can't have one until you're sixteen.
"Harry, you can't ride on public roads. But no one's stopping you from buying a teenage dirt bike and riding it through fields, forests, and motorcycle ranges."
