Chapter 110 - Chapter 110

- Ah, Hagrid! So he did come to you after all?

- Yeah. Richie, can you imagine, we're chilling in a tent, it's pouring rain outside, thunder rumbles, and suddenly... The roar of a motorcycle! The tent zipper rips with a terrible crack, and a huge bearded head appears in the opening! I almost shit myself!

"Me too..." Scott muttered quietly.

"So, we were terrified. This monster, like a seasoned stalker, declares, 'So there you are, Harry! You've come a long way.' And I froze in fear, speechless, and forgot all about my wand. And then Uncle Scott points a gun at the giant and declares, 'I don't know who you are, mister, but if you don't leave my nephew alone, I'll feed you lead!'"

- And what next?

Scott answered instead of Harry:

- What, what... This bastard glared at me angrily and said contemptuously: "What are you going to do to me, Muggle?" And then he pointed his umbrella at me, which probably had a magic wand built into it, and I didn't wait for things to go badly.

"Did you shoot him, sir?" Richard asked calmly, as if he were talking about the weather.

"Unfortunately, no," Scott shook his head. "Shot through the elbows and kneecaps. And even in that form, that monster tried to get to me. He roared with such rage, like an angry grizzly bear. Harry and I had to abandon the tent and flee. That night, in the rain, far from civilization, I thought we'd get nowhere. But Harry had an idea."

"Yes!" Harry said proudly. "I called the Knight Bus. We got to the Leaky Cauldron, and Tom the bartender helped us call the Aurors."

- And how did it all end?

"The Aurors went to our campsite and found a wounded Hagrid there," Scott continued. "It turns out he was sent by Hogwarts Headmaster Dumbledore to test whether Harry and his uncle could really handle the shopping themselves. But the gamekeeper, being very clever, decided to surprise us with his own twist. For some reason, he was convinced that Harry was still living with the Dursleys and that they were treating him badly. He wanted to scare Harry's guardians and surprise the boy on his birthday by showing up at midnight on the 30th to the 31st of July. But instead of a surprise, he ended up scaring us both.

"And the Aurors found my key to Hagrid's safe!" Harry added.

- I hope, sir, the Aurors had no complaints about you?

"No," Scott shook his head. "They admitted I acted in self-defense. And Hagrid was sent to the wizarding hospital. I just wonder why they even sent the gamekeeper if we sent the school a letter confirming our acceptance?"

"Maybe they wanted to hand over the safe key?" Richard suggested. "By the way, have you checked the safe yet? After all, that key was kept by someone else."

"You're thinking correctly, boy! I was thinking the same thing. So today we'll check with the goblins to see if anyone's put their furry hand in Harry's safe."

"Um... Richie..." Harry shifted from foot to foot. "Here, this is for you. Happy belated birthday."

Richard took a small package wrapped in colorful paper from Harry's hands.

- Thank you, Harry. I want to wish you a happy belated birthday too.

- You already congratulated me. I received your gift and letter. Cool toy motorcycle!

- A toy?

- Um... It looks like a toy...

- Ha-ha! A toy!!!

- Not a toy?

- Decreased!

"Fuck, shrunken!" Harry Potter slapped his forehead.

Scott gave his nephew a light slap on the back of the head.

"Harry, where did you learn all that Russian swearing?" he asked.

"Um..." Harry tried not to glance at Richard. "Nowhere, Uncle... I just heard it somewhere."

The detective sighed heavily and ran his hand over his face.

"Richie," Harry said to his friend, "is the motorcycle enchanted in some way?"

"Yes, but it's simple. A durability charm, plus he won't need any more gasoline."

- This is so cool! I'll try it out today.

"Harry, did anyone ever let you ride a motorcycle?" the detective looked sternly at his nephew.

"Oh..." Harry hunched his shoulders. "No, Uncle..."

"Okay, let's go somewhere in the woods, you can go for a ride there," Scott took pity. "But not today! I feel like all this shopping is going to exhaust me."

"Thank you, Uncle Scott!" Harry beamed with delight.
