Chapter 136 - Chapter 136

Without Richard's train of thought, it was difficult to understand why he chose space as his target. It's actually quite simple.

The transmigrator was haunted by the thought that his arrival in this world could disrupt the course of history. Moreover, the threat to the world was coming from an unknown source and its scale was unclear. It would be fine if the danger was local, but Richard's mentor's words constantly echoed in his mind: "MAGIC CAN DO ANYTHING!" This was confirmed by clear examples: the control of space and time exists; the realization of mathematical paradoxes is a proven fact. It was therefore entirely possible that, as in the holo-series, the threat loomed over the entire planet, if not the solar system.

So what should you do if you can't detect this threat? At the very least, you need to try to save some of humanity, yourself, and your loved ones.

From his astrogeography classes in his past life, Richard knew the cosmic coordinates of at least a hundred Earth-like planets. More precisely, not the planets themselves, but the stars around them. Moreover, the names of these stars were the same in this world. In fact, more such planets had been discovered in his world, but he couldn't remember them all, even if he tried. It's like the states in the US-everyone seemed to learn their names in school, but only a few people could recall the names of all the states offhand, and only a handful could pinpoint their exact locations. But even a hundred known stars with Earth-like planets would be enough to begin space expansion and colonization.

The only thing left to do is create a delivery vehicle, which is entirely feasible with the powers of wizards. And this needs to be done within the next five or six years, since in the series, according to rumors on the HoloNet, the hero only defeated the main villain in his final year of study, around 1998. But what if he doesn't win in reality, or something irreversible happens?

If rescue isn't necessary, Richie won't be sad. After all, a space fleet of his own and the colonization of distant planets is a huge step for humanity. Such assets and the opportunities they offer will make Richard Rich the richest man on Earth, which is quite impressive.

While the sheikhs are building giant yachts for themselves, Richie will be building a huge starship, and it will cost much less than a superyacht due to the use of magic and cheap labor in the form of wizards.

While preliminary preparations are underway, that is, magical analogues of the engine, AI, reactor, and platforms of future droids are being created (Dr. Octavius's manipulators and a spacesuit that can be converted into an android; all that remains is to add an AI and you will have a ready-made droid).

Richard estimates that preliminary preparations could take another couple of years. By that time, a substantial amount of funding will need to be secured for the second stage, which involves purchasing and replicating a huge amount of metals and other materials to create the starship's hull.

In theory, a spaceship could even be made of concrete. Wizards could even make it fly. But the strength of steel and concrete is incomparable.

During this time, the workshop's staff of wizards must be systematically expanded. Ideally, within two years, young Rich should have approximately ten percent of all wizards in Great Britain working for him.

To pay the salaries of so many wizards, Richard would need a lot of gold. The boy calculated that his massive gold injection and the high monetary circulation orchestrated by the Gringotts goblins to generate superprofits (they wouldn't be able to resist such a temptation) would lead to severe inflation of the Galleon. But not so much as to collapse the entire British wizarding economy. It would simply mean that wizards who work for Rich would become slightly richer, while others would become slightly poorer. Overall, this wouldn't be a big deal; only a few poor wizards, who are already doing nothing on principle, would suffer.

- Richie.

A clear girl's voice brought Richard out of his thoughts. It was better to think in a secluded place than in the dorm living room.

Richard looked up to discover Beatrice Haywood, a charming, blue-eyed blonde in her fourth year. Her body had already acquired pleasing curves in the right places, but her face remained childish.

"Richie, the Gryffindor boys are waiting for you at the entrance. One of them is Harry Potter."

- Thank you, Beatrice. Lovely hairstyle. Do you like short haircuts?

Haywood touched her short hair and couldn't help but smile.

"Do you think it suits me?" she asked.

- Without a doubt. Any hairstyle will highlight such beauty.

Richard left a happy Beatrice and headed for the common room exit. Ron and Harry were waiting impatiently for him in front of the barrels in the hallway.

- Good afternoon, friends. I was told that you came to visit me.

"Hello, Richie," Potter replied.

"Hello," said Ron. "We're here on business. Do you know who Flamel is?"

Richard, who had recently studied a huge amount of information for school exams and had an excellent memory, immediately remembered who they were talking about.

- Yes. I recently read about him in historical chronicles. Nicolas Flamel, born in 1340, died in 1418. Bookseller, scribe, assistant, alchemist. He is credited with creating the philosopher's stone and the elixir of life.

"It's probably not that Flamel," Harry said uncertainly.

"That one!" Ron disagreed.
