"Take you're hands off her. Now." said leo
He laughed again I felt like it was impossible for me to live after that
" and What if don'- " [*BOOM*]
I screamed but I couldn't even finish it my whole body was shaking, blood was all over my side cheek and my collar,.. The body behind me hits the ground with a violent sound
Selene without even realizing started crying kneeling on the floor, covering up her ears , everything was blurry I wanted to go home It was really scary, I cried like some lost kid on the floor I was shaking I couldn't control myself.
"Get up, it's not time for crying. "
Said leo seriously, I couldn't even focus on anything around me, I just couldn't.
Leo knew something was wrong with me so he just dragged me out there, into the car. Selene was exhausted after some minutes she wasn't even crying now.
They arrived back in the mansion she was dragged in again ..
The door of the mansion opens, demian Was smoking cigar rich smoke escapes from his mouth, as soon as the door openes he throws the cigar into the rubbish.
Selene looking messed up , pale, blood stains on her messy suit, hair messy, blank.
He got up from the seat everyone bowed slightly
"The mission went great sir." Leo started "There was a small problem but it was fixed immediately."
"what's up with the kid.?"

"she overreacted a little, but -"
"follow me, selene. " he cuts off leo. And starts walking towards his office
Selene was in no condition to walk leo made her follow, and warned her to keep her mouth shut if he asked anything that the answer would ruin his mood.
After she followed him, he closes the door behind them with a click.

"Who did this" he said with his eyes on the blood stains

"answer me when I ask you something."
..."I don't wanna talk about it right now.. may I go to my room for now"
selene said with a shaky and exhausted voice
He was getting impatient but he was not a monster you know
"You're dismissed for now. Come back here for the evening. "
Selene noded eyes on the floor like she was holding back tears just walking towards the door then she left with the last click.
Then after she was out?
Selene ran back to her room her eyes filled with tears, the sound of her footsteps couldn't be ignored. as soon as she got there, She locked the door of her room. She ran to the bathroom immediately, turned on the icey cold water splashing it against her face, her suitand neck. Over and over and over and over again.
Until she was soaked and exhausted, she sat down on the floor... She sat like that for 30 minutes and did nothing.
After that the door swung open with a quick motion , it was a maid in her 30s looking frightened and anxious
"Young lady are you Okey... ?! "
Selene looked up confused yet tired
"thank you lord..." - she mutteees - " let me help you get up dear you look terrible"
She said In a sincere - concerned voice like a mother to her child
No one had ever treated me like that in this mansion.. I felt warmth a little, she took me out and dries my hair with towel
She gave me comfortable clothes that actually fit me, I changed into them, she rubbed her hand against my back, combed my hair while I was sitting on the bed , the room felt warmer the sunset made it even more comfortable I wanted to hug her and forget everything, to finnally feel like a young girl again , before I even finish the thought, I saw him outside my room,
he slowly enters the room, he looks rather messed up, his tie was loosen his hair was a little messy but still sharp
"You may Leave us now Mrs carey"
The maid noded left respectfuly, what the hell did he want, why did he ruin the moment-
"I told you to come to my office after an hour, didnt I?" he said, his voice dangerously soft
"oh... I.. I forgot..-"
..."tell me about today"
"oh.. Okey... I..was taken to an old place.. I did my work and... There was suddenly a...i don't know who behind me.. They covered my mouth a-and.. I... Think there was a gun near my head..., he said some stuff about you... After that I.. I thought I was sh-shot but.. "
I couldn't talk after that, it was still there, the sound when he hit the ground, the feeling of the blood sticking against my- no I couldn't anymore
" shh.. That's enough"
Selene exhales she didn't look up,but his expression couldn't be ignored , hand clenched so hard his knuckles had turned white
"Didn't my men give you a gun?, why didn't you use it selene?"
... "wh.. What do you mean-"
.. "never mind it"
, he turned to leave before saying
"in an hour be in the dining room, Mira had been waiting for you"
Why did he talk in past tense is she not waiting anymore?
After an hour of devastating overthinking, a maid came in and told her that the dinner is ready.
Selene went to downstairs as soon as possible trying to find the way to "the dining room" but leo had already cought her he pulled her in a corner
"do not ask anything and just answer my question, understood?"
"what do you want -"
"what did you tell Mr Moretti, did you say anyone's name?"
"I told him everything, but I didn't say anyone's name, I don't know anyone here.."
"good.."
"Why are you asking that?" after asking that he gave me a look filled with anger and something else I couldn't get.
"do you know a close friend of mine is on verge of dying because of you, selene?"
"W-what?!"
"quiet!.. You just have no idea do you? Who do you think was the person who shot you that day? Do you think he just got away with it?"
Selene didn't expect that the person who shot her to be dealt with... He said something about dealing with that person but..
