The sky above New York City split open like a wound, a massive portal tore through the clouds above Stark Tower, glowing with violent blue energy, lightning-like arcs rippled across the air as alien soldiers poured out of the rift.
The Chitauri invasion had begun.
Screams echoed through the streets, cars crashed and civilians ran in every direction as alien weapons fired down from above. Some people tried to hide inside buildings, Others weren't fast enough.
Stark in the Sky, high above the city, Tony Stark rocketed through the air in the red-and-gold armor of Iron Man.
Mini-missiles launched from his shoulders, they streaked through the sky and detonated among a swarm of Chitauri fighters.
"Yeah, yeah," Tony muttered while weaving through enemy fire than said "Take a number, space squids."
The explosion scattered several aliens but dozens more replaced them, "Okay," Tony sighed, "Definitely too many." but he kept going shooting more chitauri.
On top of Stark Tower, Thor faced his brother, Loki stood beside the glowing Tesseract machine.
"Loki," Thor said, gripping Mjolnir tightly.
"Turn off the Tesseract… or I will destroy it." Thor said it with a voice of agency but Loki laughed "You can't." He gestured toward the sky, "There is no stopping it. There is only the war."
Then Loki fired a blast from his Chitauri Scepter, Thor deflected it with Mjolnir than Lightning exploded, the brothers charged each other.
Down below, police cars screeched to a stop near burning buildings, officers rushed civilians toward evacuation zones but they were badly outmatched.
Then a black aircraft screamed across the skyline.
The Quinjet, inside were three of Earth's defenders: Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton and Steve Rogers
"Stark," Natasha said over the comms,
"we're on your three. Heading northeast."
Tony rolled his eyes inside the helmet.
"What, did you stop for a drive-thru?"
He turned sharply. "Swing up park. I'm gonna lay these guys out for you."
Behind him, a pack of Chitauri fighters chased him through the sky.
Seconds later the Quinjet arrived from the opposite direction, the rail gun fired.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Three alien craft exploded instantly,
Inside Tony's helmet, a voice spoke.
"Sir," said JARVIS. "We have a situation."
Tony groaned. "We're in the middle of an alien invasion, JARVIS. Narrow it down.". than JARVIS replied "Our satellites have detected an unknown airborne entity approaching Manhattan."
Tony blinked.
"…Unknown?"
"Correct, sir."
Tony frowned and asked "Is it one of Nick Fury's surprises?"
"I asked S.H.I.E.L.D. when I first detected it," JARVIS replied. "They say it is not theirs."
Tony straightened.
"Alright. Show me."
A blurry image appeared on Tony's HUD. A white figure streaking across the sky, Fast, Very fast.
"How fast?" Tony asked.
"Current speed: Mach three." answered JAVIERS
Tony whistled.
"Okay that's… mildly concerning."
JARVIS zoomed the image. "Humanoid form detected. Approximately 1.7 meters tall."
Tony blinked again "…So it's a person."
"Correct, sir."
"Great." Tony opened the team comms.
"Guys, we've got incoming."
Several blocks away, A white streak tore through the sky, wind roared around Eli as he blasted toward the city.
Below him, Chitauri soldiers fired energy blasts but Eli didn't dodge.
The blasts hit him and were instantly absorbed by his vibranium-enhanced body, the energy built inside him and then exploded outward.
Alien fighters detonated around him like fireworks.
Back in Tony's helmet, JARVIS spoke again "Sir… the unknown entity appears to be assisting."
Tony watched the feed. Ice spikes formed around Eli in midair, they shot forward like bullets, piercing alien ships.
Tony leaned back slightly, "…Okay...That's new."
Eli flew higher and higher until he was almost level with the portal itself. From the streets below he looked like he was about to fly straight into it.
Tony stared upward "Uh… what's he doing?" Then Eli stopped for one second, Gravity took him then he dove. The air screamed as he accelerated.
Mach speed.
Faster.
The shockwave followed behind him like thunder. Every Chitauri he passed exploded instantly, from the streets below, people looked up and all they saw was a white streak tearing through the sky and purple explosions followed in its wake.
Tony hovered midair. "…Okay." He slowly turned his helmet "What the hell was that?". "Sir," JARVIS replied calmly "That was the unknown entity."
Nearby, Loki had just blasted one wing off the Quinjet and the aircraft spiraled toward the city.
Inside steve grabbed the cockpit frame and shouted "Brace!" Natasha fought the controls and Clint muttered, "Well… this isn't ideal."
Suddenly the falling stopped, The jet slowed, Wind wrapped around the aircraft like invisible hands, then it gently lowered to the ground.
The three Avengers stared out the cockpit window, a young white-haired teenager floated beneath the jet, holding it up with swirling air currents. The aircraft touched the street safely. Steve blinked and asked "…What just happened?"
"I don't know," Natasha said, Clint nodded "Yeah I've got nothing." They stepped out of the Quinjet and standing in front of them was a teenager with long white hair and bright blue eyes. He smiled and waved "Hi."
All three Avengers immediately raised weapons, Natasha aimed her pistol, Clint grabbed an arrow and Steve lifted his shield.
Eli blinked "…Okay." He raised both hands "Relax....I'm the one who just saved you."
Steve stepped forward carefully, "Who are you?". Eli smiled "My name's Eli....Eli Keakabetse." He reached out to shake Steve's hand.
The movement made Natasha almost pull the trigger.
Eli froze "…Right." he slowly raised both hands again "Very tense group."
Steve lowered his shield slightly. "Sorry about that," he said "We're a little busy right now." He shook Eli's hand "I'm Steve Rogers." He gestured behind him "Natasha Romanoff and that's Clint Barton."

BLAST BLAST BLAST
Chitauri fire rained down.Natasha rolled behind a car, Clint fired an arrow and Steve's shield ricocheted off three aliens.
Eli simply raised his hand, Ice spread across the street Several Chitauri froze solid. Then Eli closed his fist and the frozen aliens shattered into pieces.
Clint stared "…Okay...That's new."
Eli pointed toward Stark Tower "No it's not....I just saw a guy shoot lightning out of a hammer."
Clint paused "…Fair point."
Suddenly a massive roar echoed across the sky, causing everyone to looked up.
A giant alien creature burst from the portal.
A Chitauri Leviathan.
Steve activated the comms and said "Stark, you seeing this?"
Tony's voice answered instantly. "Yes...Still working on believing it." after a bit of silence Tony contenud "Has Banner shown up yet?"
"Not yet," Steve replied as more Chitauri fighters poured from the portal, Eli looked at the incoming swarm then at the Avengers and said "There are civilians trapped in that bus down the street." He pointed upward. "You guys handle that, I'll take care of the air traffic." and before anyone could respond he shot upward.
Eli slammed into the first alien rider and grabbed its helmet and he smashed it into another Chitauri, Wind blades sliced through three more,Ice bullets tore through alien armor and then he grabbed an enemy vehicle the pilot screamed then Eli waved and said to it "Hi." waving his hand then crushed the metal frame and threw it into another craft causing both to explod.
Below, Steve blocked incoming fire he then glanced up and asked "Does anyone actually know who that is?"
Tony answered over comms "Nope....But I like him already."
