Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

Chapter 27: 1000-Draw Results, Teigu Forging Plans, and Root Collaboration

The Ten-Thousand-Year Adamantine Tree felt almost ghostly—impossibly hard to forge. What the hell was Naraku supposed to do with it? Use it as a club to beat people?

The Stone Mask was an extremely special item. It could transform a person into a vampire—granting terrifying longevity and insane recovery ability. As for combat power enhancement, Naraku wasn't sure how much it would boost someone in the superhuman ninja world, but the fatal weakness to sunlight was a huge problem. If Yang Release in the Naruto world could simulate sunlight, it would be deadly. He also suspected that becoming a vampire might affect a person's will, though he had never tried it himself.

In short, Naraku felt Orochimaru would love this thing. No—anyone who craved extended life and was willing to make certain sacrifices would treasure it.

After exiting the lottery interface, Naraku thought for a moment and decided: first forge One-Cut Killer [Muramasa], then use its power to kill the special dangerous species Ku.

He was genuinely worried about Ku's escape ability. This was a Teigu he desperately wanted—losing it would be devastating.

Next: forge March of the Dead [Yatsufusa] and the Stone Mask. Naraku imagined a scenario where, facing absolute desperation, he simply stopped being human!! Transform into a vampire + Dimension Square [Shangri-La]—his survival ability would skyrocket.

Finally: forge Demon God Manifestation [Demon's Essence] and God of Protection [Supreme Throne]. Of course, he currently lacked the materials for the latter.

So Supreme Throne would have to wait. But if he ever got the chance, he really wanted to forge that Teigu.

Naraku felt that once he completed it, the only person in the entire ninja world who could face him head-on would be that ancient fossil Uchiha Madara. And if Madara ever died? Then the ninja world's national treasure—Uchiha Naraku—would officially come online.

Most importantly: no man could resist mecha!

...

After making all these decisions, Naraku headed to the Hokage's office. He felt that dealing with the special dangerous species Cursed Poison Beast might require human-wave tactics and could cause many deaths. So he decided to cooperate with the village.

At the entrance of the Hokage Tower, Naraku spoke to the grass-chewing ninja standing guard: "I'm Naraku. I want to request an audience with the Hokage-sama!"

Genma Shiranui glanced at the young man. Even though Naraku had grown to 1.7 meters, there was still a hint of youthfulness in his features.

Genma didn't take him too seriously—plenty of people in Konoha came demanding to see the Hokage without understanding protocol. He couldn't report every single one.

With a perfunctory tone, Genma said: "Do you have an appointment? No appointment, no entry!"

Naraku couldn't stand being treated this way by a future ninja world's national treasure's gate guard. "I! Konoha's strongest forger! Uchiha Naraku!"

Hearing such a confident introduction, Genma suddenly felt uncertain. Then he remembered—yes, the Hokage had mentioned someone named Naraku.

He immediately switched to a welcoming posture.

Naraku, who came from the Tomato Orphanage, could only think: Back in the day I delivered food and cursed out security guards during the day, then became a security guard blocking food deliveries at night. Master of every job. And now some little Konoha gate guard thinks he can stop me?

Entering the Hokage's office, Naraku felt speechless. Damn it—Danzō, the original pot-shadow, was there too, sitting on the sofa staring at Hiruzen in silence.

Naraku thought: You two really have a great relationship—flirting in the office during the day!

Hiruzen was quite surprised by Naraku's visit. Naraku's usual routine was forging, chasing girls, or playing with friends—he rarely came looking for him.

Forcing a smile, Hiruzen asked: "Little Naraku, what brings you here?"

Naraku walked in seriously and spoke to Hiruzen: "Third Hokage-sama, my kekkei genkai has reacted again. This time it's two special dangerous species—dangerous creatures. I may need your help! These two are essential materials for forging two weapons I'm planning next!"

Hiruzen naturally wouldn't refuse. Weapons forged by Naraku would strengthen Konoha's overall power—and if they didn't end up in Uchiha hands, even better.

He probed carefully: "And what are your plans for these two weapons? No misunderstanding—I'm just curious!"

Naraku saw Hiruzen trying to trick an eight-year-old and continued acting innocent: "I have a feeling these two weapons have certain requirements for their wielders. So I don't know who to give them to yet. I plan to test them within Konoha and see who can master them!"

Both Hiruzen and Danzō's eyes lit up—they were eager to try.

But Hiruzen still had his reason as Hokage. He asked: "Are these two dangerous species you mentioned very strong? How do they compare to the one in the Konoha forest last time?"

Naraku answered honestly: "They're not extremely strong in raw power—more like extremely special. One has a touch-of-death curse poison and terrifying speed. The other is spider-like but seems to control dead enemies through threads. Their hard strength should be similar to the last one—or maybe even weaker. The main issue is their troublesome abilities!"

Hearing this, Hiruzen felt conflicted.

But as Naraku continued: "I can forge two ninja blades from them. One will have a touch-of-death property. The other should be able to control the dead. If I'm lucky, I might add some extra abilities or traits."

Hiruzen was deeply tempted. Just hearing the concepts made these two blades sound incredibly powerful. But the curse poison—even he might not be able to cure it. If chūnin or clan jōnin were used, there would likely be casualties.

While Hiruzen was still hesitating, Danzō suddenly jumped in. He forcibly twisted his ferocious face into a friendly expression: "Looks like the Third has some trouble! Root will handle this! But you have to let Root test the blades first!"

Hearing Danzō's promise, Hiruzen felt betrayed. But in front of outsiders, he couldn't argue with Danzō. He planned to find another opportunity later. Besides, handing this to Root would weaken Root's strength. If he could somehow get the blades into his own faction later—that would be a huge win!

Seeing Hiruzen didn't object, Naraku nodded: "Then thank you, Lord Danzō!"
