Chapter 62 - Illios Hell’filla

Aeloria dashed forward at blinding speed, one moment, she was next to Hanon, the next, her claws were aimed at the new figure, targeting his ribs. 'I have to take him down, only then will I be able to get the answers I need.'

She had not made any moves against the Almon family ever since she met her deceased daughter in that strange space. There, she had learned that her decisions affected her daughter's emotional state. The other reason being that Lira told her not to take revenge against Ramai.

Even though she yearned for answers, she kept pushing the thought aside, but not anymore. Now the answer was right in front of her.

The man took quick side steps, evading the fatal strike while throwing three needle pins the size of a middle finger towards her forehead.

Aeloria dodged the first, and the second but could not evade the third, due to how fast and small the needles were.

The pin struck her dead in the center of her forehead, freezing her entire body for three heartbeats.

'The pin is coated in a poison meant to harm even a Protector. She may be resistant to poison, but it should be enough to at least render her unconscious.' The man charged in with confidence, drawing out a different dagger from his belt.

He dashed forward, aiming for her left eye. 'Why can't I move?' Aeloria faught with all her might, however, her body only responded at the last second. Just before the dagger made contact with her left eye, she tilted her head sideways as the lethal attack grazed her cheeks.

'Just what kind of monster is she? But hold on, the fact that she reacted late was because the poison did have an effect on her, it just didn't last long enough. If that is true, it would mean that there are still traces of the poison in her body. In other words, I have the absolute advantage.'

Before Aeloria could gain the full response of her body, the man attacked again. Using his left foot as pivot, he redirected the dagger towards her throat, this time, the attack connected.

The man stabbed deep into her throat. Using the momentum of the attack, he pinned her to the ground.

'The rumors about her are as nasty as they get. I need to make sure she stays dead.'

Blood gushed out of Aeloria's throat, her nose and mouth as the man stabbed her throat multiple times. In his last attack, he buried the dagger deep in her chest.

'He… he won against the Cannibal, is there really no hope?' Krazel said as he directed his gaze towards his last hope. He nearly choked on the sight before him. Aeloria's neck was a ruined mess, what was worse, she had a poisoned dagger buried deep in her heart.

At the same time, Kromel, Drago and even Moseah we're all down in their own pools of blood. Beside them stood Migard with a bored expression, covered in crimson from head to toe.

Migard walked over the motionless bodies as he looked around for the Head Captain. It was then that his gaze settled on the dagger embedded in her heart.

'He took them all down in an instant. I was watching the Cannibal so I couldn't see him fight. Just how many monsters is Runevale hiding?' Zilel watched Migard, trying to gauge his strength.

Meanwhile, Migard walked towards the man standing by Aeloria without breaking stride.

On sensing the new threat, the man threw five black needle towards him.

Migard moved ever so slightly between the needles, evading with minimal movement.

'Those three idiot have all reached the stage of Black, yet he took them down so easily. He's different from the Cannibal, I shouldn't let my guard down.' As the man prepared to respond to any moves Migard might make, the man in bloodied healing robe stopped suddenly, his gaze fixed on the Cannibal.

"I know I shouldn't be saying this, but if you don't stand up, I'll have to take him down in your stead. Is that alright with you?"

"Is he speaking to the dead woman?" The man whispered and glanced down at Aeloria.

He took an unconscious step back when he notice white gelatinous smoke coming out of her throat and chest where he had stabbed.

Aeloria pulled out the dagger in her chest and threw it away while her eye remained closed the entire time.

When she finally opened them, the purple eyes had turned crimson.

Aeloria pushed herself up slowly, the white mist dissipating along with her wounds.

'She's… still alive? I'm sure I stabbed right into her heart, and neck. This does not make any sense.' The man thought bitterly as he stared at Aeloria again.

Meanwhile, Aeloria ignored Migard, stepping forward as she turned her neck to the sides to get rid of the numbness.

'I was saving this just in case Ramius interfered, but there's no point in concealing it any further. None of it would matter if I ended up dead.'

The man started to make weird hand signs as he spoke.

"Undying flames of the seventh Prince of the void…" before he could utter another word, Aeloria appeared behind him in a heartbeat, whipping her feet towards the man's left side. However, an invisible wall of fire blocked her attack, burning her leg at the point of contact.

She pulled back almost immediately before the fire could deal any real damage. When she observed her leg, she noticed that the spot she had attacked with had burned, turning completely black. And though the white mist oozed from the wound, it didn't heal as fast as her earlier injuries. 'What was that, it felt like I just plunged my feet straight into the layers of hell.'

As Aeloria pondered over how to attack, Migard rushed forth and threw one of the daggers he took from Moseah.

Just like Aeloria's earlier attack, the dagger melted as it got in range.

Krazel's hope had long since extinguished as he stared at the scene with hollow eyes. Zilel could no longer comprehend what was happening and only observed the situation while still trying to force himself to move.

"Undying flames of the seventh Prince of the void, burn my enemies as you burn my days. Flesh and bones shall char in your blinding grace. A fourth of my years I offer as fuel, so that nothing of my enemies will remain. Flames of the void so cruel, body and soul shall sing the same song of pain. Come forth, great fire of Lisa. Illios Hell'filla."
