Chapter 4 - The Fire That Refused to Die

When I found out that my father was declared a traitor to the country he gave his life for, something broke inside me.

A slow fire started burning in my chest.

And it refused to die.

From that moment, I stopped thinking like a child.

I only thought about one thing — revenge.

Steven saw the rage in my eyes.

But he didn't look scared.

"You are a blessed child," he said calmly. "Your father knew it. That's why he called you special."

His words didn't comfort me.

They made the fire stronger.

My eyes felt hot. My body trembled slightly.

For a second, everything around me felt darker.

"How can I take them down?" I asked in a cold voice.

Steven looked at me seriously.

"It won't be easy. And you are not ready yet."

Not ready.

Those words hurt more than anything.

"I will do it," I said quietly. "I will destroy everyone who betrayed this world. I won't let my parents' sacrifice go to waste."

The room became silent.

After a few seconds, Steven nodded.

"Your training starts tomorrow. If you want revenge… you must become strong first."

That night, I couldn't sleep.

Every time I closed my eyes, I saw my father standing alone… accused… abandoned.

Morning came.

Steven gave me black training clothes.

Then he started explaining the real world to me.

"There are seven continents," he said. "Each ruled by a king. Under them are emperors. Then thirteen Sword Knight Captains and thirteen Magic Knight Captains."

"Below them are soldiers and hunters who complete missions."

"If you want answers… you must rise high. Become a Knight Captain."

The world felt bigger than I imagined.

And darker.

Then he told me about aura.

"Every human has two types of aura — inner and outer."

"Inner aura strengthens the body from inside. Outer aura covers weapons and makes them powerful."

He paused for a moment.

"There are different types of aura."

"Black aura is normal energy."

"White aura possessed by angel . It gives divine power and strong defense."

"And dark purple aura…"

His voice became heavier.

Those aura only possessed by demons. Extremely dangerous."

My heart started beating faster.

I need to unlock my aura.

My legs were still not fully healed.

But they were recovering faster than normal.

Blessed child.

I closed my eyes and sat down.

Anger. Pain. Determination.

All mixed together.

One thought stayed in my mind.

I will become strong.

No matter what.
