Maki: Pakura-sensei…
Pakura: Maki, a man like Rasa who betrays his own comrades deserves to die!
Maki: How could that be…? Pakura-sensei, weren't you—?
Pakura: Hah. Then ask the Sunagakure leadership. To secure peace with Kirigakure, they chose to sacrifice me.
Several Sunagakure elders: Hmph, Pakura, don't spout nonsense.
Even if that were true, so what?
It was all for Sunagakure!
Pakura: Spare me. Shameless hypocrites.
Ōnoki: Hmph. Seems every village has its darkness.
Fourth Raikage (A): Tch! Sunagakure's higher-ups are disgusting. In Kumogakure, we despise those who betray their comrades.
Sunagakure elders: Y-you—!
Ōnoki: Oh? And what exactly do you intend to do?
Fourth Raikage (A): If you want war, come at us. Kumogakure will gladly oblige.
Sunagakure elders: Ahem… surely this is all a misunderstanding…
Seeing Sunagakure's reaction, Nagi's resolve only hardened.
After several days of travel, Nagi and Orochimaru's group arrived at the designated meeting place.
Nagi extended his sensory perception—Rasa had not yet arrived.
Orochimaru asked softly,
"Shall you handle him, or shall I?"
"I will," Nagi replied. "There's a technique I wish to test."
"Understood. We'll deal with the rest."
Some time later, Rasa and several bodyguards appeared on the horizon.
Nagi and Ryūma Aburame concealed themselves.
Dressed in his Kazekage robes, Rasa approached Orochimaru, ignoring Kabuto and Kimimaro.
"This time, Sunagakure will release the Tailed Beast directly within Konoha's center. I trust you will assist me in restraining the Third Hokage and the other elites."
Orochimaru chuckled.
"Heh heh… No need for such trouble."
Rasa frowned.
"Oh? Do you have a better plan?"
"No," Orochimaru smiled thinly. "I've come to invite you to participate in an experiment."
"…An experiment?"
A chill ran down Rasa's spine.
Suddenly—
Kabuto and Kimimaro struck first.
"Dance of the Camellia!"
"Chakra Scalpel!"
Kimimaro drew a blade from his own bone; Kabuto's hand glowed with condensed chakra. In moments, Rasa's bodyguards fell.
Realizing the betrayal, Rasa reacted instantly.
"Gold Dust Platform!"
He gathered gold dust beneath his feet and ascended into the air.
At that instant, Nagi appeared beside Orochimaru.
"So it truly relies on Yin Release chakra properties…"
In a flash, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Kimimaro, and Ryūma repositioned around Rasa.
"Four Violet Flames Formation!"
A square, violet barrier rose, sealing Rasa inside.
Nagi raised his right hand toward him.
"Magnet Release: Magnetic Field."
Four golden electromagnetic pillars materialized and shot outward, surrounding Rasa.
Thin, nearly invisible electromagnetic lines linked the pillars together.
Rasa immediately encased himself in gold dust armor—but it scattered apart the moment it formed.
"What is happening?!"
He tried again, desperately controlling the gold dust. It flowed uselessly like water, slipping from his grasp. He plummeted from the sky.
"So Sunagakure's Magnet Release indeed depends on Yin Release's attractive polarity," Nagi analyzed calmly.
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed.
"So you used Yang Release–based Magnet Release to interfere with his polarity?"
Rasa steadied himself midair and landed, staring at Nagi in shock.
"Why won't my gold dust respond?!"
Sensing danger, Rasa slammed both palms onto the ground.
"Gold Dust Wave!"
A massive torrent surged toward Nagi, while Rasa observed through his Gold Dust Eye.
Nagi calmly produced a circular iron disc from his pocket.
He hooked it against his finger. Golden-blue currents began to coil around his arm.
Rasa instinctively reinforced himself with gold dust armor. He could not identify the technique—but he felt death approaching.
Locking onto Rasa's position through sensory perception, Nagi flicked the disc forward.
"Magnet Release: Electromagnetic Cannon."
The instant the disc launched, the golden-blue current followed, accelerating it to near-invisible speed.
A beam the thickness of an arm pierced straight through the gold dust wave.
Rasa twisted aside at the last second—slowed slightly by the sand torrent.
Pain erupted in his left arm.
Heat seared through him.
He looked down.
His left arm was gone.
His chakra plummeted, but he grit his teeth, driving the remaining gold dust forward with his right hand.
Nagi extended his left hand, dark chakra radiating outward.
The chakra spread into the gold dust wave.
"…What?!"
Rasa suddenly lost control.
The gold dust disintegrated into countless fine particles—like a storm of shrapnel.
"Gold Dust Drizzle!"
"No—!"
As Rasa attempted to flee, he found himself immobilized.
Looking down, he saw two arms of gold dust binding his legs.
"Focused on above, but forgot below," Nagi said evenly.
Rasa hastily erected a gold dust barrier—but it was too little.
The storm of fine particles tore through him.
Grievously wounded, Rasa staggered.
Nagi did not hesitate.
With the Flying Thunder God Technique, he appeared before him—Kusanagi Sword in hand.
The blade pierced straight through Rasa's heart.
After confirming Rasa's death, Orochimaru dismissed the Four Violet Flames Formation.
Surveying the battlefield, he examined the scattered gold dust and Rasa's cauterized shoulder.
"So this was your Magnet Release experiment… Whether Yin or Yang, both are formidable."
"Yes," Nagi replied. "Proceed according to plan."
Orochimaru summoned a massive snake, which swallowed Rasa and his bodyguards whole.
Moments later, Orochimaru's form shifted—perfectly assuming Rasa's appearance.
The Kazekage would still attend the Chūnin Exams.
Only now, it would be Orochimaru wearing his face.
