Over the past few days, Nagi had remained with Orochimaru, continuously refining and strengthening his Yin–Yang Release chakra.
He noticed something remarkable—
The mysterious energy within his body seemed to evolve alongside whatever chakra nature he trained, constantly enhancing and updating it.
At the same time, he and Orochimaru periodically extracted Yang Release chakra from Hashirama's Cells, using it to fortify Nagi's physical body.
Since Madara 's corpse had yet to be located—and the extreme Yin–Yang chakra within Naruto and Sasuke had not awakened—Nagi could only extract Yin Release from the cloned Sharingan to strengthen his spiritual power.
When Nagi returned to Konohaga Kūre (Hidden Leaf Village), he discovered that Tsunade had officially become the Fifth Hokage.
Even without the Sannin showdown, Naruto had still convinced her—through sheer persistence and heartfelt conviction.
With Naruto's radiant optimism, his striking resemblance to Nawaki, and Tsunade's infamous gambler's curse—losing every bet except when a life was on the line—
Naruto obtained the First Hokage's necklace, while Tsunade regained her resolve to become Hokage.
Somewhere along the way, her hemophobia faded.
In truth, it had always been a matter of the heart.
Perhaps… in her eyes, Nawaki had returned.
"Time really does fly," Nagi murmured.
He intended to head home.
But just as he reached his door, an ANBU operative appeared.
"Nagi, the Hokage requests your presence.
If you have urgent matters, you may attend to them first."
Hiruzen had strictly instructed that Nagi be treated with utmost respect.
"I understand. Lead the way."
Soon, Nagi stood inside the Hokage's office.
Seated at the desk was a blonde woman with twin ponytails, a diamond-shaped mark on her forehead, and an unmistakable commanding presence.
Tsunade.
Also present were Hiruzen Sarutobi (Third Hokage), the two Konoha Council of Elders, Jiraiya, and Kakashi Hatake.
"Nagi," Hiruzen said warmly, "this is the Fifth Hokage—Tsunade."
"Fifth Hokage-sama," Nagi greeted politely.
"Oh? So you're that Nagi."
Tsunade leaned forward with interest.
"Naruto wouldn't stop talking about you. Jiraiya says you're a genius. Let me see what's so special."
Hiruzen coughed.
"Tsunade, don't scare the boy."
She waved dismissively.
"I'm joking. But old man, why are you treating him like state treasure?"
Hiruzen grew serious.
"Everyone here is trustworthy."
He glanced at Nagi.
Nagi lowered his head slightly.
Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Kakashi looked confused.
But Hiruzen and the Elders knew—
Nagi was consulting the Second Hokage.
Moments later, Nagi raised his head.
"My teacher agrees."
Hiruzen visibly relaxed.
"Nagi is Konoha's highest-level secret. Tsunade, as Hokage, you have the right to know."
Kakashi raised a hand awkwardly.
"Should I step outside?"
"No. Kakashi, you will learn sooner or later."
Hiruzen drew a breath.
"The truth is… Nagi has been accepted as a disciple by the Second Hokage."
Silence.
Then—
"What?!" ×3
"The Second Hokage?!"
"My grand-uncle?!"
Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Kakashi stared in disbelief.
Tsunade recovered first.
"That's impossible! My grand-uncle has been dead for decades! Old man, are you mocking me?"
Jiraiya added, "The Second Hokage died long before this kid was born!"
Hiruzen replied solemnly,
"The reasons are complicated. But the fact remains—Nagi is technically your and Jiraiya's junior grandmaster."
"…I have to call a kid 'Grand-Uncle'?" Tsunade stared blankly.
"Old man, have you been drinking?" Jiraiya added.
But Hiruzen and the Elders remained deadly serious.
Tsunade turned to Nagi.
"If you're truly my grand-uncle's disciple—prove it."
Without hesitation, Nagi activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, disappearing and reappearing instantly.
Jiraiya's eyes widened.
"That's definitely Flying Thunder God."
He had taught Minato. He knew the technique well.
Tsunade stood frozen.
Nagi added calmly,
"My teacher also mentioned that when you were little, you often refused to admit losing to the First Hokage in gambling."
"I—I won most of the time!" Tsunade protested weakly.
Everyone present knew about her "Legendary Sucker" reputation.
Nagi continued mercilessly,
"And he also said you used to wet the bed and hide the blankets—then blame it on him—"
"Enough! Enough!"
Tsunade lunged forward and covered Nagi's mouth.
"I admit it! Fine! You're my grand-uncle's disciple! Just stop talking!"
Livestream Chaos
Hashirama laughed heartily.
"Hahaha! Little Tsunade did refuse to admit losing!"
Naruto burst out laughing.
"So Granny Tsunade used to wet the bed too?!"
Tsunade's eyes twitched.
"Naruto… when I get back to Konoha, you'll forget this conversation ever happened."
Kūshina hurriedly intervened.
"Tsunade-onee-san, he's just a child!"
Minato nodded nervously.
"Yes, Hokage-sama, he's only a kid."
Tsunade smiled sweetly.
"Don't worry. I'm very good with children."
Back in the classroom, Naruto shivered.
A few days later—
Nagi had just finished breakfast when he heard Naruto's excited voice outside.
"Nagi! Are you home?!"
Nagi smiled.
"Sounds like something good happened."
He opened the door to find Naruto practically glowing with excitement.
"Come in first."
"Thanks!"
Nagi poured tea.
Naruto gulped it down eagerly.
"You'll never guess! Team 7 just completed an S-rank mission!"
"S-rank?"
Nagi raised an eyebrow.
S-rank missions were national-level confidential operations—assassinations, wartime support, intelligence transport.
A genin team shouldn't normally handle such assignments.
Naruto grinned proudly.
"We helped the princess of the Land of Snow reclaim her kingdom!"
Nagi instantly understood.
So this was the mission depicted in Ninja Art: The Snow Princess's Book of Ninja Arts.
