"My, my… Madara Uchiha, how can you call me a fraud? Aren't you one yourself? And weren't you shouting the name 'Uchiha Tajima' quite loudly before?"

Obito lost his composure. He flung out his arm, launching a branch at Nagi with blinding speed.
"Wood Release: Cutting Sprigs Jutsu!"
Nagi sliced the branch cleanly in half.
"Fire Release: Bomb Blast Dance!"
A spiraling vortex of flames surged forward from Obito's side.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
A massive water dragon erupted into existence, instantly extinguishing the fire vortex before crashing toward Obito.
Obito hurriedly activated Kamui, phasing through as the water dragon passed harmlessly through his body.
After avoiding the attack, he sneered, about to mock in return—
"Hmph. Is that all—"
"Madara, behind you!" Black Zetsu shouted.
The water dragon, after phasing through Obito, curved smoothly back around.
"?!"
Obito spun just in time to see the dragon inches from his face.
Boom!
He was blasted point-blank through a wall and sent flying.
Realizing the situation had turned unfavorable, Obito immediately fired a flare into the sky—a retreat signal—then slipped into Kamui's space.
Seeing things deteriorate, White Zetsu grabbed Nagato by the throat.
"Don't come any closer! One more step and I won't be polite!"
He tightened his grip.
"Ghh…!"
Nagato gasped in pain.
"Nagato!!"
Konan's expression changed drastically. The scene reminded her of the day Hanzō of the Salamander had used her as leverage against Nagato and Yahiko.
Nagi walked forward calmly, sword in hand.
White Zetsu panicked.
"Don't come closer! Don't come closer! If you do, I'll really kill him! Wait—why isn't this following the usual script?!"
Nagi looked at him speechlessly.
"You chose a hostage correctly. But using Nagato to threaten me? Are you stupid? We're not allies. We were fighting moments ago."
"Oh! That makes sense! Thanks for explaining!" White Zetsu said sincerely.
"Idiot—run!"
Black Zetsu smacked White Zetsu on the head.
"Oh."
White Zetsu immediately released Nagato.
Black Zetsu froze.
"Why did you let go?!"
"Didn't you say run?"
"You should've killed him first!"
"Oh…"
With no time left to argue, the two Zetsu sank into the ground and escaped.
Nagato coughed violently, barely catching his breath—
Only to feel something cold and sharp against his throat.
Nagi's blade rested there.
"Well then… I think we can all calm down now."
"Nagato—!"
Konan watched in horror as he went from one danger into another.
"Be quiet. I don't mind killing him."
The blade pressed forward slightly, drawing a thin line of blood—then lifted instantly.
Nagato had attempted to throw himself forward to commit suicide. Nagi had anticipated it and withdrawn the blade in time.
Konan's heart pounded in terror. They had already lost Yahiko. If they lost Nagato too—
"Don't do it! Nagato and I—"
"Konan! Run!"
Nagato grabbed at Nagi with his skeletal hand, trying to buy her time.
Nagi knocked him unconscious with a single strike.
"That's enough. You've seen his resolve to die. You don't want to watch him try again, do you?"
Konan stared at him silently.
As if this wasn't your fault.
Seeing she had no intention to resist further, Nagi activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, transporting both her and Nagato away.

Nagato's thoughts were chaotic—then his eyes widened.
"I can see? And this place—"
"The eyes aren't compatible," Nagi said calmly. "But they'll suffice for now."
Nagato turned toward him.
"You."
"Yes."
"Don't think helping me earns gratitude. This is just the meaningless pity of the great nations. And you dare show mercy to an enemy? You're far too naï—"
Nagi cut him off by taking out a scroll.
"Relax. It's not a weapon. Save your speech."
Konan and Nagato fell silent, watching carefully.
A Water Release Shadow Clone appeared, dragging in a White Zetsu corpse. Another clone arrived carrying a vial of blood.
Nagi smeared the blood across a seal on the scroll and formed hand seals.
Tiger – Snake – Dog – Dragon.
He clapped his hands together.
"Summoning Jutsu: Impure World Reincarnation!"
"AAARGH!"
Dust swirled violently around the White Zetsu vessel, encasing it.
When the dust settled—
A figure with orange hair, cracked pale skin, and the distinctive appearance of an Impure World Reincarnation (Impure World Reincarnation) (Impure World Reincarnation) stood before them.
Nagato and Konan froze.
"Yahiko?!"
