Clang! Clang! Clang!
"Another bullseye? Impressive."
Genma looked at the target in surprise. Once again, all ten of Nagi's shuriken had struck the center.
Although his throwing posture looked somewhat standard yet oddly unconventional at the same time, the results spoke for themselves.
Nagi, meanwhile, felt as though his wrist was moving on its own. It still felt slightly awkward, but he had the sense that he would adapt very quickly.
Genma then explained several techniques for reducing wrist strain when throwing shuriken.
Soon after—
Genma and Nagi faced each other in the courtyard.
This time, Genma planned to teach him some taijutsu for real combat. Although he had taught Nagi before, the boy had been too young back then and didn't even possess chakra yet. At the time, Genma had only focused on physical conditioning exercises.
"Nagi, come at me."
"Alright."
Nagi immediately rushed toward Genma.
Watching the child charge forward, Genma prepared himself to block.
Nagi pushed off the ground—
In the blink of an eye, he appeared right in front of Genma and threw a punch straight at his chest.
Genma blocked it easily with his right arm.
However, the force behind the blow still startled him.
Taking advantage of the opening, Nagi drove his left knee upward toward Genma.
Genma blocked it with his left hand, then grabbed Nagi and tossed him aside.
But Nagi immediately launched another attack.
After more than a dozen exchanges, the two separated.
Genma couldn't help clicking his tongue.
This kid's attacks were far too sharp.
And the strength behind them—honestly, it felt stronger than most children from the Akimichi clan at the same age.
"Alright, Nagi. Now it's my turn to attack. Be careful."
"Got it."
In an instant, Genma dashed forward and appeared in front of Nagi.
Controlling his strength, he threw a punch.
Suddenly—
Nagi slowly drew a circle with his right arm, catching Genma's wrist.
Then he stepped back, smoothly redirecting the force of the attack.
"?"
Genma blinked in confusion.
He followed up with a punch from his left hand.
Nagi lightly grabbed that arm as well, then rotated his body in a circular motion—
Genma's body was flung through the air.
Borrowing force to counter force.
Using minimal effort to move a heavy weight.
Genma spun through the air, utterly stunned.
Who am I? Where am I? Why did a five-year-old just throw me like that?
Fortunately, Genma's extensive combat experience kicked in quickly. He stabilized himself midair and landed safely.
Genma attacked again.
But this time, his arm felt as though it had been stuck to something.
For a moment, he couldn't break free from the strange flow of force.
Then Nagi performed another smooth motion—
And Genma was thrown again.
Unwilling to accept it, Genma attacked once more.
But this time Nagi simply dodged.
Genma felt like the kid had eyes all over his body, as though every move was predicted before it even happened.
Meanwhile, Nagi felt as if he could anticipate Genma's movements in advance.
After several more rounds, Genma finally stopped the match.
He had already been shocked too many times today.
He was mentally exhausted.
"Nagi… I think I'll just teach you some basic Konoha-style taijutsu instead."
"Alright."
[Tobirama Senju]: I see. It looks like Nagi's combat-related muscle memory is gradually awakening—shuriken skills, Taijutsu techniques similar to , and even sensory perception.
[Orochimaru]: If he continues cultivating chakra, then the jutsu he once knew will likely recover as well.
[Madara Uchiha]: Hahaha! Looks like Nagi won't need that world's white-haired Senju anymore.
[Hiruzen Sarutobi]: Not necessarily. Another issue is how we treat Nagi in that world. If he continues progressing normally, his talent will be far too monstrous. Suspicion is inevitable.
[Ōnoki]: True. Talent is one thing—but judging from Nagi's performance, he's beyond a genius. If the other villages learn about him, they might try to eliminate him.
[Jiraiya]: That's possible. But I believe Minato and the others will protect him.
[Minato Namikaze]: Yes. I'm sure the version of me in that world will do everything he can to protect Nagi.
[Little V]: Uh… actually, that's not something you need to worry about.
When it comes to geniuses, Danzō strongly supports and protects them. If another village dared harm a prodigy, he'd personally lead troops into battle.
Near the end of the Third Great Ninja War, Danzō and Orochimaru had already perfected Impure World Reincarnation.
Danzō immediately used it to resurrect the First Hokage and Second Hokage, then took them to negotiate with other villages.
The Land of Wind cooperated quite quickly—after all, they suddenly gained vast forests.
As for the other villages, they willingly signed agreements not to use Impure World Reincarnation.
And the daimyō of other nations?
After seeing the sky-blocking giant Buddha statue, they quickly signed friendship treaties with the Land of Fire.
[Hiruzen Sarutobi]: You can do that!?
[Tobirama Senju]: Of course! Why else do you think I left behind so many forbidden jutsu? If you don't make progress, you'll get crushed by others. The Danzō of that world actually did a good job.
[Hashirama Senju]: But would the resurrected me really agree to intimidate other villages?
[Little V]: Danzō spoke to you sincerely and explained what true justice and greater good meant. If you hadn't been an Impure World Reincarnation body, you might've been moved to tears.
Plus, with the Second Hokage and Tsunade persuading you, you eventually agreed to show up when necessary.
[Hiruzen Sarutobi]: If Danzō's extreme personality were flipped the other way around… I can imagine how the First Hokage must've felt.
[Hashirama Senju]: ...
[Danzō Shimura]: ...
[The screen continues.]
Several more weeks passed.
During this time, Nagi trained diligently.
Every so often, he also visited Naruko's secret fishing spot.
Naruko had already figured out his routine. Whenever Nagi came, she brought along her personal fishing gear and a portable grill she had specially bought.
As for using a sealing scroll… unfortunately, she had only recently learned to extract chakra and still wasn't fully used to controlling it.
One day after finishing training, Nagi noticed it was getting late.
There wasn't enough time to cook dinner.
So he decided to visit a place he hadn't gone to in a while—
Ichiraku Ramen.
When Nagi arrived and ordered a miso ramen, he suddenly heard a familiar voice.
"Yo, what a coincidence, sister. You're here too."
Nagi turned around and saw Hinata, grinning mischievously.
"Hello. And I'm a boy."
"Oh? Then have you found proof that you're a boy yet?"
"..."
Seeing his silence, Hinata smirked triumphantly and turned to Ayame.
"The usual—five extra-large deluxe miso ramen."
"Got it."
Ayame wrote down the order with a smile, seemingly not surprised at all.
Nagi looked at Hinata in amazement.
Hinata shrugged casually.
"What? Does my eating this much bother you?"
Nagi shook his head.
"Not at all. Being able to eat is a blessing; being able to wear clothes is fortune. Looks like you're quite blessed."
"Heh, kid. That's the first time I've heard someone put it that way."
She could tell from a person's eyes whether they were lying.
Seeing the sincerity in Nagi's gaze, Hinata rested her chin on her hand and said with a relaxed smile,
"Sigh… I recently got a little sister. That little rascal cries and fusses all day at home. It's been so noisy that I've been eating out these past few days."
"I see."
But judging from the affection in her eyes, Nagi could tell she actually adored her younger sister.
