"Next match: Satsuki Uchiha vs. Nagi ."
The two first formed the Seal of Confrontation, then assumed their fighting stances.
However, neither of them moved at first. They simply stared at each other.
Satsuki narrowed her eyes.
This guy… isn't simple.
A moment later, Satsuki made the first move.
She rushed toward Nagi and struck out with a palm attack. Nagi shifted sideways and avoided it.
Satsuki immediately spun and followed up with a side kick, but Nagi anticipated it and pushed her back with a palm strike.
Satsuki attacked again.
This time she moved quickly behind Nagi and launched a kick toward him. Nagi caught her by the ankle, while Satsuki simultaneously threw a punch.
The two exchanged over a dozen moves in rapid succession.
For some reason, Nagi felt as though he could instinctively sense the weakness in every move Satsuki made.
Meanwhile, Satsuki grew silent.
For reasons she couldn't explain, she felt that the Uchiha Clan's taijutsu style was being completely countered by Nagi's fighting style.
After several more exchanges—
Nagi finally flipped Satsuki to the ground, ending the match.
As they formed the Seal of Reconciliation, Satsuki left a single sentence:
"I hope next time you'll fight with your full strength."
Then she turned and walked away without looking back.
"Whoa!" ×N
"Satsuki actually lost!"
"That was incredible!"
"..."
After all, Satsuki was known as the genius of the Uchiha Clan. No one expected her to lose to someone else.
Even Iruka Umino was surprised by the result, but he quickly recovered and announced the next match.
Nagi returned to where Hinata Hyūga and Naruko Uzumaki were standing.
Naruko said excitedly,
"Hehehe, Nagi, that was awesome! You actually beat that smug Satsuki. Nicely done!"
Hinata, meanwhile, said with interest,
"You're pretty strong. Let's spar sometime too."
"We'll talk about it later."
During the match just now, Nagi had felt a strange conviction in his heart—
A feeling that he absolutely could not lose to an Uchiha.
Discussion Outside the Screen
Izuna Uchiha:
"Putting aside the difference in their actual strength, the taijutsu that Tobirama taught was specifically designed to counter the Uchiha Clan's fighting style. It would be strange if Satsuki had won."
Madara Uchiha:
"That's enough, Izuna. At her age, Satsuki has already done very well. Her shuriken-throwing skill is already better than most people our age back then. She performed excellently."
Hashirama Senju:
"Hahaha, it's rare to hear Madara praising someone."
Madara Uchiha:
"Hmph. I'm just stating the facts."
The main reason was that Satsuki's face resembled Izuna's so much that Madara subconsciously felt as though he had gained another younger sibling.
Back to the ScreenUchiha Residence — After School
Itachi Uchiha had finished his mission early today and was writing a mission report in his room.
"I'm back."
Satsuki returned home.
Mikoto Uchiha came out of the kitchen and said,
"Satsuki, you're back. Go wash up."
Satsuki shook her head.
"No. I'm going to train later. I'll be back before dinner."
Mikoto sighed helplessly.
"Training again? You should relax once in a while."
Satsuki shook her head again and went back to her room to pack her things.
"Sigh… This child pushes herself too hard. Something will happen sooner or later."
Mikoto could only sigh. After all, Satsuki had secretly slipped out to train before.
When Satsuki finished preparing and walked to the door, Itachi appeared with an eager expression.
"Satsuki, do you want your big brother to train with you?"
"No."
Satsuki rejected him immediately without even turning around.
"But it's rare for me to have free time. Besides, even if you're training alone, you might not fully understand the training scroll Father wrote. I could guide you."
"...Tch. Then hurry up."
Satsuki's cold face showed a hint of annoyance.
Meanwhile, Itachi happily followed behind her.
Discussion Outside the Screen
Shisui Uchiha:
"Hahaha, you can't say she isn't similar—but she's completely different from Sasuke and Itachi."
Itachi Uchiha:
"..."
Seeing the screen version of Satsuki looking at him with pure annoyance, Itachi felt like his heart had taken ten thousand points of emotional damage.
Madara Uchiha:
"I see. Training this diligently… no wonder she's stronger than Sasuke was at the same age."
Sasuke Uchiha:
"..."
Honestly, when Sasuke saw the version of himself in that world and compared it to how he used to cling to Itachi as a child…
He felt extremely embarrassed.
Back to the Screen Training Ground
Genma tested Nagi using chakra paper and discovered that Nagi possessed all five chakra natures.
To be safe, Genma decided to first teach him some basic Water Release techniques.
After Genma demonstrated once—
Nagi immediately formed hand seals.
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall."
Water burst from Nagi's mouth and quickly formed a defensive wall of water.
"First try and it already worked? Impressive—"
Before Genma finished speaking—
Nagi opened his right hand.
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall."
This time, water shot out from his palm, forming another water barrier.
Genma's jaw dropped.
The senbon in his mouth fell to the ground.
"A ninjutsu without hand seals?!"
After a while, Genma recovered. He picked up the senbon and sighed.
"This isn't a genius… this is a monster."
He then handed Nagi a basic Water Release scroll and an Earth Release scroll.
After reading through them, Nagi formed hand seals.
"Water Release: Water Prison Technique."
A spherical cage of water suddenly formed around the target in front of him.
"Earth Release: Earth Wave."
After completing the seals, Nagi slapped the ground.
The earth around the training ground began shaking violently.
Then Nagi began performing the techniques again—
This time instantly and without hand seals.
After watching for a while, Genma gave Nagi a few reminders.
Then he walked over to a nearby tree, leaned against it, and sighed repeatedly while staring up at the clouds—
Completely questioning his life choices.
End of Term Approaches
Time passed quickly, and soon it was the end of the semester.
Iruka told the class:
"Students, the grade tournament is coming up soon. Everyone in our year will participate."
"At that time, Lord Hokage will also come to watch. The winners will receive generous rewards, so do your best."
"However, while the competition is important, your safety is even more important. Remember that."
"Yes!" ×N
Hearing that the Hokage would attend, everyone became very excited.
They all wanted to perform well in front of him and planned to train hard after returning home.
Naruko, however, didn't react much.
After all, she saw the Hokage almost every day.
In the past, she would have cared deeply about her identity as the Hokage's daughter.
If she won, people would say:
"As expected of the Hokage's daughter."
Which felt like they were denying her own effort.
But after Nagi encouraged her before, she now understood something.
Other people's opinions didn't really matter.
What mattered most was her own thoughts—and whether she could see her own progress.
