"I, Eliss Narkhalis, take you, Aoshi Toya, to be my husband."
Eliss's voice trembles so much with emotion that she can barely get the words out.
When she's done, she takes a sip from a goblet she and Aoshi are holding together. Inside is a broth made from an animal that, in the Kingdom of Ravessia, is considered a symbol of prosperity and good fortune.
Raelor then turns to Aoshi.
"I, Aoshi Toya, take you, Eliss Narkhalis, to be my wife, until death do us part."
He takes a sip from the same broth.
The taste is absolutely disgusting, and he almost throws up.
But the awful flavor vanishes from his mind the moment he sees the annoyed, puzzled look on Eliss's face.
"Until death do us part? What kind of creepy wedding vow is that?" Eliss grumbles.
Aoshi instantly panics when he notices the other guests don't seem too happy about that part either.
