All around Mia, there's nothing but the deepest darkness, stretching endlessly in every direction, with her floating in the middle of it.
The last thing she remembers is a blade piercing her chest from behind. Then nothing.
She has no idea where she is or how she got here.
She didn't open her eyes and suddenly find herself here. It's more like she just started existing in this place.
Looking down, she can't see her body.
She tries to touch her face, but there are no arms to move.
Then, all of a sudden, a massive pink flame ignites in the endless darkness.
"W-What are you...? W-Where... am I...?" Mia murmurs, confused and scared.
She's even more frightened when she hears her own voice, as if it's echoing from the darkness all around her.
"Is this... the Realm of the Dead...? I'm dead... aren't I...?" Mia continues, panic taking over.
"Not yet. But you will be soon," the pink flame replies in a deep, ominous voice. "As for me... you should already know who I am."
