Then to each of the young faces, either excited, apprehensive, or curious, and finally landing on those twenty spiritual Yao Race cubs.
Her gaze didn't fluctuate much, as if all of this was within her expectations.
"All of you, rise."
A cold, ethereal voice rang out, not loud, yet clearly entering the ears of every person and every Yao.
A gentle yet irresistible force lightly lifted the kneeling crowd.
The new Disciples stood up, still not daring to look directly up, only daring to steal awe-filled glances at that peerlessly elegant figure from the corners of their eyes.
A Yao seemed to find this scene very interesting; she pulled Gu Han's hand and whispered:
"Master Mommy, there are so many people, and little monkeys and little tigers!"
The childish words were exceptionally clear in this solemn setting, yet they strangely eased the atmosphere.
Gu Han looked down, patted A Yao's head, a flicker of a smile passing through her eyes, then she cast her gaze toward the crowd again.
"Today, that you are able to step into the Yaochi Immortal Palace is fate."
Her voice was calm, yet it carried a power that went straight to the heart,
"Regardless of Human Race or Yao Race, regardless of noble or lowly birth, regardless of the past."
"From the moment you step through this door, the past can be cast aside, and the future can be expected."
"The Yaochi Immortal Palace is your new starting point and your future home."
The words were clear, echoing over the square and etching themselves into the hearts of every new Disciple.
Many people, especially those children from ordinary or even poor backgrounds, felt their eyes grow slightly warm at this moment.
A new starting point... a future home... this meant a great deal to them.
"The Immortal Palace is newly established, and rules cannot be neglected."
Gu Han continued, her tone gaining a bit more majesty,
"In the future, you must remember the sect rules, Cultivate diligently, and love your fellow Disciples."
"If there is any disobedience, you will be strictly punished."
"We respectfully follow the Palace Master's teachings!"
The new Disciples responded in unison, their voices much more orderly and loud than before.
Gu Han nodded slightly and turned her gaze to Liu Ruyan,
"Ruyan!"
"Disciple is here."
Liu Ruyan quickly took a step forward.
"These new Disciples will be temporarily arranged by you for housing and explained the sect rules and precepts."
"In three days, they will be assigned to various peaks and pavilions according to their respective Heart-Nature and talents."
"Yes! Disciple will certainly do her best!"
Liu Ruyan solemnly accepted, feeling the weight of responsibility on her shoulders.
Gu Han then looked at Ink Scale and Fu Shan:
"Ink Scale, Fu Shan."
"Your subordinates are here!" The two Yao Kings stepped forward.
"These Yao Race Disciples are one of the future cornerstones of the Immortal Palace; you two must teach them well."
"Yes! We follow the Palace Master's command!"
Ink Scale and Fu Shan responded in unison, their gazes toward the Yao Race cubs behind them containing both expectation and sternness.
