…
Stark Tower.
Tony's Office.
"MR. J—officially Justin Hammer's secretary. In reality, a failed product of his private Super Soldier program."
"He didn't gain superhuman physical enhancement. Instead, he lost most of his human sensory functions."
Tony shared the intelligence he had gathered with Leon, who had arrived almost immediately.
Leon looked at the headless, green-skinned corpse encased in metal plating. At a glance, he knew this wasn't a human at all—but a Skrull, possessing the same shapeshifting abilities as their kind.
"Skrull?"
Tony frowned.
"Yeah."
Leon nodded and began explaining the origins of the Skrulls and the threat they posed to Earth.
After listening, Tony couldn't help but scoff.
"So you had Arcee dig up everything on Nick Fury—even the part about his lover being a Skrull?"
He was genuinely stunned by the Director's questionable taste.
How the hell did Fury even manage that?
Even without seeing MR. J's true form, Tony could already imagine how grotesque it must have been from the wrinkled green skin alone.
He inhaled sharply.
Just imagining the scene was horrifying enough.
"I'm guessing this guy was replaced by a Skrull after the Super Soldier experiment failed," Leon speculated. Rhodey's image flashed briefly through his mind before he looked at Tony again.
"Don't tell Fury about this one yet."
"I'm already handling the Skrull problem. No need to worry. It shouldn't be long before I wipe them out entirely."
"Okay," Tony replied. "Call me if you need backup."
If even Justin Hammer's secretary could be replaced, Tony had no intention of waking up tomorrow next to a Skrull disguised as a swimsuit model.
Same disgust, same reasoning.
Truly brothers.
"You can use the body to develop a Skrull detection protocol," Leon added, gesturing upward meaningfully. "A little preventative measure. I'll need it later."
"Easy. I can have something by tomorrow," Tony said casually. Then his eyes narrowed toward the distant outline of Hammer Tower.
"But tonight's agenda is something else."
…
Night.
Malibu Coast.
But not Tony's mansion.
Justin Hammer had replicated it.
Not just the Iron Man armor—he'd even imitated Tony's beachfront layout. At this point, obsession was putting it mildly.
Inside his villa, Justin Hammer paced anxiously.
No updates from MR. J.
No answer on the phone.
In a fit of rage, he smashed his phone against the wall.
"Shit!"
"Useless trash!"
He grabbed the champagne he'd prepared to celebrate and chugged straight from the bottle before stumbling out onto the sea-facing balcony, letting the cold ocean wind cool his thoughts.
Then—
"Huh?"
"What's that?"
A golden streak appeared on the horizon.
At first, he thought it was alcohol messing with his vision.
Until the "meteor" brightened—and crossed from one end of the horizon to the other in the blink of an eye.
Hammer jolted upright.
"Oh no—!"
"Is it coming for me?!"
Before he could finish—
BOOM.
The balcony exploded into debris.
Hammer felt the world spin violently before a massive hand clamped around his throat and lifted him into the air.
"Nice!"
"Looks like I win again, big bro!"
Leon grinned, turning toward Tony—who arrived a moment later in the Mark VI armor. He casually dangled Justin Hammer in his grip, the man's glasses cracked in half and his face frozen in utter confusion.
Who am I?
Where am I?
What is happening?
"Shit," Tony muttered. "How is that Bio-Field of yours so broken? You can even ignore air resistance?"
Unwilling to concede, he declared on the spot:
"Fine. Tomorrow I'm inventing a Bio-Magnetic Field."
Leon blinked.
If anyone else had said that, he would've laughed.
But if Tony Stark—cursed by genius—said it?
Then it was only a matter of time.
"You're insane."
Leon gave Tony an encouraging middle finger before tossing Hammer into the villa's main hall. Tony lifted his faceplate, and the brothers flanked their prey.
Identical smiles.
Warm. Infectious.
Terrifying.
"Hey, Justin," Leon said pleasantly. "Homelander and Iron Man are here to offer humanitarian assistance."
"Honestly, Hammer," Tony added casually, "you must be pretty important to get both of us."
Then, almost kindly:
"Any last words?"
"I—I—I…"
Hammer trembled uncontrollably. He knew exactly why they were here.
The shadow of death loomed over him.
With shaking fingers, he adjusted his glasses and forced himself to meet Leon's faintly glowing golden eyes.
"My house is covered in surveillance," he stammered. "It's livestreaming internally right now. You care about your reputation, don't you?"
He swallowed hard.
He knew Homelander valued public image above all else.
Leon and Tony exchanged a glance.
Tony shrugged.
Leon turned back, his smile growing brighter—warmer—almost radiant.
"Is that so?"
"I think you're standing in radiation and don't even realize it."
Leon smiled.
In the next instant, without even fully charging his Chest Beam—just the initial ignition—
Justin Hammer was reduced to a charred human silhouette.
As for the surveillance system he mentioned?
It had already been quietly neutralized by Leon's radiation output long before.
"Not a Skrull," Tony noted thoughtfully. "So they're not bold enough to impersonate high-profile public figures yet."
"Justin Hammer is still the CEO of a major defense contractor," Leon said seriously. "This is a big deal. I'll drop by S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and file a report with Fury."
Tony smirked.
"Since when are you so respectful to Nick Fury? Filing a report, huh? Sounds more like you're going there to flirt."
"So? Who is it this time?"
"Fury's deputy. Level 9 agent."
"Oh. Her."
Tony raised a brow, immediately knowing who Leon meant.
"Go on then. As long as you don't cause fatalities, do whatever you want."
"Yes, sir!"
Leon snapped a crisp salute—then shot straight into the sky.
The ground beneath him fractured into a massive spiderweb crater.
Tony coughed violently as dust filled the air.
"Cough—cough—!"
"That brat. Was that intentional?"
He stared at the smoking crater.
"Bio-Magnetic Field development just moved to top priority."
Tony Stark did not enjoy eating dust.
Not even if it was from his own brother.
