Judging from Diana's portrayal in the films, although she was said to possess extraordinary wisdom under Athena's blessing, it was much like Superman's "super-brain"—rarely demonstrated in practice.
Instead, she often appeared hopelessly romantic. Once she fell in love, she could even abandon her divine power for the man she loved.
At times, she seemed less like a seasoned goddess and more like a pure-hearted warrior princess blessed with immense strength and intelligence—but little worldly experience.
Of course, that was largely an illusion.
Raised her entire life on Themyscira, her knowledge of the outside world was theoretical at best. Her lack of social experience made her seem naïve—but she was anything but foolish.
And that worked perfectly in Leon's favor.
Daughter of Zeus. Supreme-tier potential. Future inheritor of the Olympian God of War's mantle.
If such a treasure stood unclaimed, it would be a crime not to pursue it.
But first—
Ares, that warmongering relic of a dying age, had to be dealt with.
The new era had no vessel fit to carry him.
…
Soon, Diana finished wrapping Leon's "injury."
However—
"Darling… was it really necessary to wrap it this thoroughly? My palm was injured—not my entire arm."
Leon awkwardly lifted his right arm. Diana had bandaged it so tightly that the white wrappings resembled a plaster cast, nearly covering the whole limb.
He was honestly afraid that flexing too hard might tear it apart.
"Oh! I'm sorry—I didn't notice…"
Diana quickly averted her gaze, bowing repeatedly to mask her embarrassment.
It was understandable.
Meeting a final boss with fully maxed mechanics and stats while still in the tutorial stage of life…
One could only say Diana's destiny had just taken an unexpected turn.
"Leon, Themyscira is under invasion. I cannot stand by and do nothing!"
Changing the subject, Diana strapped her shield-and-sword set to her left arm.
"I'll go with you," Leon offered. "Humanity has changed. Their weapons pose a serious threat to you and your people."
"But your hand—"
"It doesn't matter. Even if my father has exiled me and I'm weakened to the point of barely being able to lift a chicken, I still have loyal servants… and a mount."
He said it with convincing solemnity.
Arcee (A2 Mode) and YoRHa Unit 2B stepped into position behind him without a word.
Bast leapt lightly from Leon's shoulder.
"Rrrowl!"
The moment she landed, her body expanded—transforming into her full form: a massive black panther standing nearly 2.5 meters tall.
"So… big!"
Diana's eyes widened with delight. She reached out instinctively.
Bast, clearly appreciating Diana's beauty as well, lowered her head cooperatively.
Pat, pat.

…
Elsewhere—
Under Queen Hippolyta's command, the Amazon warriors exchanged volleys with the German fleet.
Arrows rained down, felling several exposed soldiers on deck—but they could not halt the advance of steel warships.
By the time Leon and Diana arrived atop the cliff astride Bast, a dozen small boats had already landed on the beach below.
Under cover fire from the fleet's artillery, German infantry squads disembarked, rifles raised.
The first soldier to hit the sand fired immediately.
Bang!
A supersonic round erupted from a Mauser Gewehr 98, striking an Amazon archer squarely in her exposed thigh.
Crack.
The bullet shattered her femur instantly. She collapsed with a cry of agony.
More rifles swung toward her.
"No!"
Diana leapt from the cliff in a single bound, clearing dozens of meters and landing precisely before the fallen warrior.
She crossed her Silver Bracers with a thunderous clash.
BOOM—
A shockwave of divine force blasted outward in a wide arc, hurling the nearest German soldiers into the sea.
But more troops continued landing.
Rifles turned toward Diana.
They opened concentrated fire.
"Diana!"
Queen Hippolyta's heart nearly stopped at the sight of her daughter standing at the front line.
Humanity's rapid advancement over mere centuries had birthed weapons devastating to carbon-based life. Diana had only just begun to awaken her divine power—she could not yet endure sustained gunfire.
And indeed—
Though her divine reflexes allowed her to perceive the incoming rifle rounds, her body struggled to keep pace.
After deflecting dozens of bullets with her bracers, fatigue set in. Her movements slowed.
She guarded her head and heart—but a grazing round tore into her left arm, drawing blood.
Behind her, the wounded Amazon lay helpless.
Diana could not retreat.
She had to stand her ground.
The battlefield tipped toward inevitable tragedy.
Whizz—
A bullet flew straight toward her forehead.
She reacted—
But exhaustion dragged her motion just shy of supersonic speed.
Her bracers crossed—
Too late.
The round slipped through the narrow gap between her arms, stopping a mere centimeter from her brow.
"DIANA!!!" ×2
Hippolyta and Antiope, having just cut down their opponents, cried out in horror.
Then—
Time seemed to freeze.
The battlefield fell into near-perfect stillness.
The bullet hung suspended before Diana's forehead.
But it was not time that had stopped.
It was simply that someone else had begun moving at a speed beyond conventional understanding.
Before the stunned eyes of Hippolyta and Antiope—
A pale hand appeared.
It caught the bullet effortlessly.
Golden patterns rippled briefly across bio-integrated Vibranium skin as the kinetic energy was absorbed and dispersed.
The glow faded.
Leon stood beside Diana, holding the flattened round in his palm.
"Darling," he said lightly, "need a hand?"
