Chapter 170 - Overwhelming Hope!

Orders were given.

In truth, there was only one core principle:

I'll carry this. You guys just play.

At that moment—

"Woooo—" ×7

Seven Chitauri Leviathans wailed as Ebony Maw's telekinesis forcibly dragged them together, binding them into a single grotesque battering ram.

They self-detonated mid-charge, hurtling straight toward the seven Avengers.

Thor raised Mjolnir, lightning already gathering—ready to unleash a thunderstorm that would shatter them.

Leon lifted a hand to stop him.

He stepped forward, shielding his teammates.

Tony, of course, couldn't resist adding commentary.

"Oh yeah. Stand back. He's about to show off."

Leon's carefully crafted aura of a silent powerhouse dissolved instantly.

He ignored the jab.

The blunt dorsal spines along the back of his War God Armor began to glow one by one.

The air itself grew heavy.

Buzz.

Buzz—

BUZZ—

The escalating hum sounded like a funeral toll.

When the charge peaked—

The armor's entire outline illuminated like a prismatic arc reactor array.

Energy converged at the Eternal Core in his chest—

Then surged upward through glowing conduits like veins of light.

Atomic Breath.

The crystalline faceplate phased from within without opening, allowing the attack to pass through unimpeded.

A column of searing, ice-blue radiance erupted forth.

The seven Leviathans were erased instantly.

The beam continued upward—

Straight toward Ebony Maw.

Maw's pupils contracted.

His telekinesis flared at full output, forming layered barriers to withstand Leon's full-power blast.

Telekinetic amplification—

Versus a Godzilla-empowered Atomic Breath augmented by divine armament.

The result—

Blinding light swallowed everything.

Across the globe, viewers of Arcee's livestream recoiled as their screens flared white-hot.

For a brief moment—

No one could see.

When the light faded—

BOOM—!!!!!!!!!!!

A shockwave rippled outward.

Across Manhattan—across New York—windows shattered almost simultaneously.

Leon had secretly used his Bio-Field to contain the blast radius as tightly as possible.

Even so, spatial aftershocks leaked outward.

Two and a half seconds later—

He ceased fire.

Because—

Thud.

A charred, broken humanoid body fell from the sky.

The silhouette of Ebony Maw.

The other six Avengers stared at Leon in unified disbelief.

"If you're this strong," someone muttered, "do we even need to fight?"

Leon blinked.

Even he hadn't expected the full fusion of the Godzilla Template to be this absurd.

Then again—

Considering the source… perhaps he should have.

"…Yeah."

"It's basically over."

He spoke lightly.

Then rose alone into the sky.

Something crystallized in his mind.

A pale golden sphere formed in his palm—compressing, condensing.

Absolute rationality from Mental Corruption Immunity whispered clarity.

"I."

"AM."

"STOLATAS."

He raised the golden orb overhead.

Light detonated outward—

Thousands of radiant beams firing in every direction.

Leon did not aim.

He merely thought of a target—

And accepted the premise:

I am the weapon.

The divine blessing—Stolatas, the Gun God's Favor—automatically calibrated trajectory.

Once, Leon's marksmanship had been chaotic at best.

Now—

He had become a stationary causality-grade laser turret.

Light may travel in straight lines—

But these beams bent through the sky.

They curved impossibly—

Striking every fleeing Chitauri soldier with surgical inevitability.

Twenty-five seconds later—

The final alien fell.

Silence.

The remaining six Avengers looked collectively shell-shocked.

Who are we?

Why are we here?

Leon smirked slightly.

Then contacted Fury.

"Fury. How many nukes are aboard the Helicarrier?"

Nick Fury hesitated.

Maria Hill answered flatly:

"Thirteen."

"Good. Launch all of them."

"…Excuse me?"

Permission had already been quietly restored to Fury's command authority.

No interference followed.

Thirteen nuclear jets launched.

Moments later, they arrived over the western coastline.

In formation—

Thirteen warheads locked onto Stark Tower—

And fired simultaneously.

Like boys holding hands on a field trip.

"Perfect."

Leon casually vaporized another Leviathan attempting to enter through the portal.

Without its strategist, the Chitauri mothership simply executed prior attack directives.

No adaptation.

No creativity.

Tony flew up beside Leon.

"You're not stealing all the fun this time."

Thor ascended as well, fury burning in his eyes.

"They will answer for Loki."

Leon nodded.

"Then let's finish this."

The thirteen nuclear missiles streaked inward.

Leon halted them midair with telekinesis.

Below, Bastet stood ready beside the portal apparatus, Mind Stone Scepter in hand.

Leon.

Tony.

Thor.

They exchanged a look.

Then flew upward together—

Through the portal—

Into the heart of the Chitauri mothership.
