When Chen Si heard Nile say that, he clenched his teeth.
Humanity? What a joke.
Back then, he had hesitated—just for a moment—about whether to kill those traffickers, and that hesitation cost the Ackerman couple their lives. If he hadn't killed those three, all of them would have died.
Talk about law with criminals? Talk about humanity with beasts?
Ridiculous.
The reason the Ackermans died was because he foolishly tried to preserve his humanity in front of criminals. From that moment on, Chen Si made up his mind—before enemies, there is no humanity. To him, enemies were nothing more than livestock waiting to be slaughtered.
"He must be a Titan disguised as a child—a spy sent to infiltrate us!"
"And her too! Whether she's even human is questionable!" a merchant representative shouted, pointing at Mikasa in panic.
"That's right! We should dissect them immediately!" another one yelled.
Mikasa looked tense, clearly shaken.
Armin stared at the chaotic crowd in fear, his heart filled with dread as he imagined the worst possible outcome.
"Wait! Maybe I really am a monster—but she has nothing to do with this!" Eren shouted urgently.
Chen Si noticed the Military Police beginning to move.
"I'd like to see who dares touch her," Chen Si roared.
"He's threatening us!"
"Who would believe you, you monster!"
"Military Police, arrest that woman!"
"Today, if anyone dares lay a finger on her…" Chen Si said with a faint smile, one as cold as the depths of hell, "…I'll make sure they regret ever being born."
As he spoke, he began violently pulling at his restraints. His hands were torn open, flesh mangled and bloody, yet he continued struggling to break free.
The crowd recoiled in fear, stepping back.
"Brother…" Mikasa's eyes welled with tears as she watched Chen Si desperately protecting her. She nearly rushed forward.
"You've never even seen a Titan—you only know how to be afraid! Yet when someone has the power to fight, you won't let him! Is that right? If you're too afraid to fight, then give me everything you can offer and let me fight for you—you bunch of cowards!" Eren shouted.
"What did you say?"
These were all people of high status—never had they been insulted like this. Their expressions turned ugly.
"You useless trash! You've never seen Titans, yet all you do is drink and chase women! Damn you! Since you've chosen me as your enemy instead of the Titans, then I'll wipe you out first!" Chen Si's eyes flashed coldly as he suddenly tore his bloodied hand free from the handcuffs.
"To hell with all of you!"
Silence fell instantly.
Even a pin drop could be heard.
…Damn. I forgot. I got carried away—I'm not fully recovered yet.
Chen Si's attempt at intimidation failed, and he froze.
"Raise your guns!" Nile snapped, finally recovering from the shock.
Eren's pupils trembled as multiple guns were aimed at them.
Chen Si was already calculating—nearest officer, seize a weapon, take a hostage…
Mikasa had already stepped onto the table.
Suddenly—
Levi kicked Eren square in the face. His front teeth flew out along with a spray of blood.
Levi moved again, turning into a blur as he kicked toward Chen Si.
So fast!
Chen Si barely managed to raise his arm to block. Levi narrowed his eyes and moved even faster—his motion almost invisible—as his foot slammed into Chen Si's abdomen.
Blood sprayed.
Chen Si was sent flying, crashing through a railing before hitting the ground, coughing up blood.
Damn it, why is Levi this strong? This makes no sense. I can't even fight back. We're both Ackermans—how is the gap this huge? Just wait four hours… I'll crush you, you damn shorty—
Chen Si spat out another mouthful of blood.
After completing his hundred-Titan kill and being tempered by lightning, his body's pain sensitivity had been greatly reduced. Even after taking such a beating from Levi, it didn't hurt as much as it should have.
He had planned to hold back—to act, to stage a convincing display of submission. But Levi's strength was absurd. Even with 100% Ackerman blood, he was being completely overwhelmed.
What Chen Si didn't know was that Levi had pushed the Ackerman bloodline to its true limit—beyond 100%, to an effective 120%.
To avoid further punishment, Chen Si simply played dead and collapsed.
Eren, stubborn as ever, kept trying to lift his head—only to be kicked again and again. After several more blows, his teeth were nearly gone.
The table in front of Mikasa cracked under pressure. Armin struggled with all his strength to hold her back.
Her pupils trembled as she stared at the bloodied Chen Si and the battered Eren. Her teeth clenched, hatred toward Levi surging in her heart.
"This is how I do things," Levi said calmly. "Pain is the most effective form of discipline. What you need right now isn't words—it's a lesson. Stay on your knees. It makes it easier for me to kick you."
Eren took several more kicks, nearly being stomped to death.
Levi noticed Chen Si twitch slightly and walked over, kicking him again.
Chen Si subtly shifted his arm to absorb the impact and was sent rolling across the ground.
…This brat.
Levi glanced at his slightly dirtied shoe and lost interest.
"Levi!" Nile shouted nervously.
"Hm?" Levi turned his head, his foot still planted on Eren's head.
Damn… Eren really has it rough. This is going a bit too far—but it has to be done…
Chen Si secretly opened his eyes, feeling a trace of sympathy.
"What if he transforms into a Titan in anger?" Nile asked anxiously.
But Eren refused to faint. Even after dozens of kicks, he stubbornly raised his head and glared at Levi.
Levi responded with another kick.
"You wanted to dissect them, didn't you?" Levi said calmly. "The one under my foot killed twenty Titans before exhausting himself after transforming. The one lying over there instantly killed a Titan comparable to the Armored Titan—and has killed even more than him."
"And even so, they're still no match for me. Now imagine facing them yourselves. Those of you who insulted them—think carefully."
The room fell into uneasy silence.
Only then did they realize—the Titan forms of Eren and Chen Si, along with Chen Si's terrifying lightning power, were far beyond anything they could handle.
In the end, Erwin proposed that both of them be placed under Levi's supervision.
With Levi guaranteeing full control, Eren and Chen Si were released and transferred to the Survey Corps.
Chen Si finally let out a sigh of relief.
These fools almost made things troublesome.
Otherwise… he might have had to kill a few of them.
And that would have caused even bigger problems.
Still—
He found himself looking forward to life in the Survey Corps.
The real journey beyond the walls…
Was about to begin.
