Chapter 28 - Reiko’s Request (Please Give PowerStones)

Raizen located Xiao Hua, the ninja cat.

"Lord Raizen, are you heading back to Konoha?" Xiao Hua asked.

Raizen nodded. "Before I return, I need to entrust you with something." He felt around his pockets. "Huh? Where is it?"

"What is it, Lord Raizen?"

"My scroll is gone. Did I drop it back at the hotel?" Raizen mused. "Forget it, I'll just write a new one. Xiao Hua, bring me a blank scroll."

"Understood, Lord Raizen."

Xiao Hua quickly returned with a blank scroll. Raizen took a pen and began to write. Soon, a fresh "Seeking Heirs with Heavy Rewards" mission statement was complete.

Raizen tossed the scroll to Xiao Hua. "Xiao Hua, copy the contents of this mission statement and post it in the black market and at every branch of our Uchiha business holdings."

"Understood, Lord Raizen."

Xiao Hua curiously unrolled it to take a look, her cat eyes widening in shock. As expected of Lord Raizen! For the sake of the Uchiha, he really is willing to spend a fortune. If only I were human instead of a cat, I could...

With his business concluded, Raizen activated the Flying Raijin, instantly teleporting to a small town near Konoha. He spent some time shopping for gifts and supplies, then hired a horse-drawn carriage for the final leg of the journey back to the village.

An hour later, Raizen's carriage appeared at the main gates of Konoha. After passing through, he directed the driver toward the Uchiha compound.

Clip-clop, clip-clop!

"Who is it?"

Hearing the sound of the horse, Anko Mitarashi instinctively put down her cards. Kurenai Yuhi and Momoko also paused their game, looking curiously toward the gate.

To pass the time, the three women had been playing cards with a "losing-stakes" rule—specifically, the loser had to remove a piece of clothing. Having lost several rounds each, they were currently dressed quite lightly, revealing a fair amount of fair, delicate skin.

Realizing someone had arrived, the three of them scrambled to dress properly before heading out of the house.

At the gate, they saw Raizen unloading crates from the carriage.

"Raizen-kun! Is it really you?"

Kurenai and Momoko's eyes lit up. They sprinted forward, both throwing themselves into Raizen's arms at once.

"I'm back!" Raizen embraced them both, holding them close.

Nearby, Anko watched Raizen, licking her lips with a slight smirk as if she were staring at a choice piece of prey.

"Raizen-kun, I missed you so much!" Momoko whispered affectionately.

"I missed you too, Raizen-kun," Kurenai added, her voice full of emotion.

"I missed you both as well," Raizen said tenderly. "I bought gifts for everyone. Let's get these inside."

"Mhm! Thank you, Raizen-kun!" The two women were beaming with joy as they looked at the packages.

As they let go to help carry the items, Raizen turned to Anko. "Anko, thank you for your help while I was away. Join us for dinner tonight. I'll settle your payment afterward."

"Sure, no problem," Anko laughed boisterously, her eyes still fixed on Raizen.

Raizen felt a bit puzzled by the way she was looking at him—like a predator stalking a target—but since he had just arrived home, his focus was on Momoko and the others. He didn't dwell on it. Maybe all people with snake summons just look at people that way, he thought.

During dinner, Anko continued to stare at him, leaving Raizen utterly bewildered. Does this girl have a crush on me? Unlikely. Her only focus is usually killing Orochimaru for abandoning her. With her tomboyish personality, she usually treats men like brothers or drinking buddies.

After dinner, Kurenai prepared to leave with Anko, looking at Raizen with lingering reluctance.

"I'll come find you tomorrow, Kurenai," Raizen promised.

"Mhm... I'll be waiting," Kurenai nodded, her eyes shimmering.

Once they left, Momoko looked at Raizen bashfully. "Husband... let's bathe together."

Raizen looked at her with a knowing smile and nodded.

"Husband, let me help you undress," Momoko whispered.

"I'll leave it to you then," Raizen chuckled. "And let me help you as well, Momoko."

Momoko's face turned scarlet. "I... I would appreciate that, husband."

"Let me wash your back."

"Thank you... I missed you so much, Raizen-kun."

"I missed you too, Momoko."

"Love me well tonight, Raizen-kun."

"Mhm."

The next morning, Raizen woke up feeling a bit of a dull ache in his lower back. Looking at the sleeping Momoko, he couldn't help but marvel; ever since she'd given birth, her "combat stamina" had reached impressive new heights.

"Raizen-kun..." Momoko murmured, sensing he was awake. She blinked her eyes open and looked at him softly.

"You're awake?" Raizen flicked her nose gently, his expression full of tenderness.

"I'll go make breakfast for you myself," Momoko offered, moving to get up.

Raizen stood to dress as well. "Let's do it together."

"Mhm! But I have to feed the baby first." Momoko dressed, picked up the infant from the cradle, and began nursing. Raizen gave the child's cheek a gentle stroke before heading to the kitchen.

"Master! Leave breakfast to us!"

As Raizen entered the kitchen, Haruko stepped in his path, preventing him from going further.

"I can help out," Raizen smiled.

Haruko looked at him gloomily. "Master, this is our job. If you take our work, does that mean you want to fire us?"

Haruko cherished this job. It wasn't just the money—she could make that elsewhere. It was the special Papaya Nutritious Juice. You couldn't find anything else with those effects. Having finally started her "secondary development," she wasn't about to lose the chance to keep growing. She had already finished one bottle and seen results, but she wanted to go further.

"Huh?" Raizen was caught between laughter and tears. "How could you think that?"

"Then please, Master, don't steal our work!" Haruko said, her eyes welling with tears.

"Alright, alright," Raizen sighed, amused but impressed by their dedication. At least he knew they would take their roles seriously.

"Good morning, Lord Raizen." Reiko walked over, carrying her child.

Raizen nodded with a smile. "Good morning, Reiko. Let me see the little one."

Reiko handed over the baby. Raizen held the tiny girl delicately, his heart melting once again.

"Lord Raizen... I would like to go home for a visit," Reiko said in a low voice.

Raizen's gaze shifted slightly as he looked at her. "You may."

Reiko bowed. "Thank you, Lord Raizen."

Raizen's tone turned serious. "There is no need to thank me. Our arrangement was a transaction. Now that the transaction is complete, I have no right to restrict your freedom. You may go home whenever you wish. However... you cannot take the child with you."
