"He... he killed him..." someone in the crowd stammered.
"Solari Clan has gone mad! They want to bathe Mirravele City in blood!"
"Run! Get out of here! The streets are going to run red with blood tonight!"
Panic erupted like a broken dam, but within the Ashvele Clan's ranks, there was only a frozen stillness.
Atlas stood stupefied. His eyes fixated on the fountain of blood still bubbling from Matthias's severed neck.
Matthias was dead.
For a brief second, the sheer impossibility of the act held Atlas in place.
But then, the shock shattered, instantly replaced by a boundless, all-consuming rage.
Sanity completely evaporated from his mind.
