But Fabian's reasoning was painfully simple, even if he didn't voice it aloud.
Navarre had been defeated fair and square, within the rules he himself was enforcing.
To punish the candidate who had outperformed the examiner would be to admit that the Stormveil Academy couldn't handle losing — and that was a far greater humiliation than any butt-kick.
Besides, what Fabian had witnessed in those few minutes was far more valuable than Navarre's bruised ego.
