"It's nothing," He smiled gently, "Go on in, quick, your team was wondering what was taking you so long just now. I think they need your help with something."
"Oh! Okay, I'll do that. Thank you again!" I bowed as I watched him go into the elevator.
I said I would help him with the fiance thingy not his office adventures, anyway. It's his problem. I needed to keep myself at bay in some way so I will hold onto whatever I can so I don't feel so involved in his business.
I got back to work and as Alex had said, I was asked to help with some of the reviews due for this week. My mind got busy immediately and so, it felt as if I only blinked twice for Sir Piper to come back.
"Here, Miss Burry." He said, appearing out of nowhere.
"Oh! That was fast, thank you so much, Sir," I stood up to receive my notes, happy that I could finally check some stuff I was actually needing right now. I flipped a few pages right away, forgetting for a second that he was still standing there.
