Naruto's sapphire eyes flickered with an artificial gleam as the Ryjin sparked in her grip. The blade buzzed like an angry wasp, the lightning arcing along its edges lighting up the frigid air. She stared at Sasori's army of puppets, her expression as unreadable as ever. Yet, beneath that monotone exterior, her ego was very much alive and thriving. She was Naruto Uzumaki, the White Flash, the undefeated.
The first wave of puppets lunged toward her, their jagged weapons aimed at her synthetic frame. With a calculated swing, she unleashed her attack. "Senju Slash," she declared, her voice as flat as the frozen terrain beneath her feet. The Ryjin roared, slicing through the first row of puppets with a crackling arc of energy. Wooden limbs and metallic joints scattered like confetti, raining down around her.
"Is this all you've got?" Naruto muttered, her gaze locked onto Sasori, who stood motionless, observing her with a detached smirk.
Sasori didn't respond, his fingers twitching ever so slightly. More puppets surged forward, their weapons gleaming ominously in the weak sunlight.
Naruto tilted her head. "Oh, more of you? How charming." She sidestepped a particularly aggressive puppet wielding a scythe, her movements precise and graceful. "Honestly, I'm starting to think you have a wood fetish. Should I be concerned?"
The scythe puppet didn't answer, obviously, but it did manage to get within inches of her before she spun around and drove the Ryjin through its torso. Lightning exploded from the blade, shattering the puppet into smoldering splinters.
"That's what I thought," Naruto remarked, flicking her blade to rid it of the lingering static charge.
From his position, Sasori's smirk widened. "Impressive for a doll. But let's see how long you can keep up, shall we?" With a flick of his wrist, another wave of puppets emerged from his scroll, each more elaborate and deadly than the last.
Naruto's gaze shifted to the new arrivals, her mechanical mind processing their designs and potential weaknesses. Her lips twitched into what could almost be called a smirk. "Oh, good. More friends. I was starting to get bored."
She launched herself into the fray, the Ryjin humming as she slashed through the puppets with relentless efficiency. Her movements were almost dance-like, a blend of precision and power that left destruction in her wake. "You know," she called out between strikes, "if you're trying to overwhelm me, you're going to need a lot more than this. Dattebayo."
Despite her bravado, Naruto couldn't help but notice the unending nature of the assault. For every puppet she destroyed, two more seemed to take its place. She paused for a brief moment, her synthetic lungs taking in air out of habit rather than necessity.
"Wow, you're like a one-man puppet show," she commented, eyeing the next wave approaching. "Except not funny. Or entertaining."
Sasori chuckled softly, his fingers dancing with precision. "You misunderstand, doll. This isn't about overwhelming you. It's about testing you."
"Testing me?" Naruto echoed, raising an eyebrow as she parried a strike from a puppet wielding twin daggers. "You're not my type, but thanks for the effort." She slammed the Ryjin down in a wide arc, the resulting explosion of lightning obliterating a dozen puppets in an instant.
Still, more came. Their sheer numbers were beginning to test even her seemingly limitless stamina. She could feel the strain in her frame, the way her joints were heating up from the constant exertion. Her artificial systems were doing their best to compensate, but even she had limits.
"Alright, Bitch," Naruto muttered internally to her AI assistant. "Any brilliant ideas?"
-A suggestion: Cease engaging. Strategic retreat advised. You are not paying attention to your surroundedings.-
"Yeah, not happening," Naruto replied, her voice resolute. "I'm invincible, remember?"
-That confidence is statistically unwarranted.-
Naruto ignored the comment, gripping the Ryjin tighter. She surged forward again, cutting through another wave of puppets with renewed determination. "You're going to have to do better than this, Red Sand!" she shouted, her voice carrying over the battlefield.
Sasori's smirk didn't waver. "Oh, I intend to." With another flick of his fingers, he summoned a larger, more menacing puppet. This one was humanoid, with razor-sharp claws and a menacing grin carved into its wooden face.
Naruto's eyes narrowed as the puppet charged at her with surprising speed. She met its assault head-on, their clash sending sparks flying. The Ryjin hummed angrily as it struggled against the puppet's reinforced blades.
"Okay, I'll admit," Naruto said, cocking her head. "This one's a little better." With a burst of effort, she pushed the puppet back and delivered a decisive slash that severed its torso.
As it collapsed, however, another puppet immediately took its place. Naruto blinked. "Oh, come on. Dattebayo. How many of these things do you have?"
Sasori's chuckle was low and mocking. "Enough to keep you busy."
Naruto frowned, her frustration mounting. She was the White Flash, the invincible shinobi of the Leaf. And yet, she couldn't help but feel like she was being worn down, bit by bit.
"Alright, no more playing around," she muttered. She raised the Ryjin high above her head, the blade glowing brighter than ever. "Time to end this. Dattebayo."
