A dim light hangs over the table.
LILO sits across from DETECTIVE IKKAR, who holds a notebook and pen, his expression unreadable.
IKKAR
I already know what happened leading up to the club. Arco told me you stepped away to take a phone call.
Ikkar leans forward slightly.
IKKAR
Tell me what it was about.
Lilo clenches his jaw, anger visible.
LILO
Right… I'll tell you.
He exhales sharply.
LILO
After all, I want to catch my friend's killer.
Ikkar studies him, noticing the intensity.

Lilo, I need you to come in immediately. You have to sign some documents.
Lilo frowns.

Alright… got it. I just need to take care of something first.
He lowers his voice. His lips move, but we don't hear what he says.
The camera slowly pulls away, leaving his words a mystery.

After the call, I came back out… and we started to leave the club.

RILLO and LILO support him.

Lilo and Rillo carry Drammy down the street.
Suddenly—

Lilo's phone rings again.
He checks it.
LILO
Sorry, Rillo… can you carry him alone for a second?
Rillo adjusts his grip on Drammy.
RILLO
Yeah… but what's going on?
Lilo steps back.
LILO
I've got an emergency at work. I need to go—now.
Without waiting, Lilo runs across the street and disappears into the night.
Rillo is left alone, struggling to hold Drammy upright.
