Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Real Immortal Has Arrived

Arisu suddenly realized that Indra might die.

In the original story, the two brothers were only both injured, then each went their own way without interfering with each other, and later each died and reincarnated.

But at this moment, Ashura had gathered the power of bonds from the entire Ninja Sect. The strikes of the Thousand-Armed Buddha carried billions of streams of chakra, already far beyond a simple fight of victory or defeat.

Hagoromo's face was calm, yet he had no intention of making a move. The power of everyone in the Ninja Sect had poured out completely.

They were going to erase Indra entirely, not even leaving him a chance to reincarnate.

"Ah!!!!"

A scream of pain that tore the heart apart pierced through the sky.

Indra's Susanoo completely shattered into fragments of chakra. His body was crushed by immense force, bones cracking and tendons snapping.

Half of his body sank into the dry, split earth. Blood poured wildly from the corner of his mouth, soaking the front of his robe.

Those eyes that were always proud, filled with unwillingness and anger, now only held the scattered look of someone about to die. They stared at the blurry figure in the sky.

Using his last bit of strength, he murmured, "Grandmaster… save me…"

The voice was as weak as a candle in the wind, yet it hit the softest place in Arisu's heart.

He had lived nearly a thousand years. He had seen countless separations of life and death, the rise and fall of dynasties.

He had long pressed down his emotions deep inside, thinking himself heartless and detached, just a watcher of the world.

But Indra was the first disciple he had personally taught step by step.

Although he had many disciples, most of them were toads and animals. The only true human disciple was Indra.

From a child, to a boy gripping a kunai and training hand seals hard, to awakening the Sharingan and looking down on the world as a strong man, every step had his guidance.

"Sigh, Indra cannot die yet…"

"I can only step in and pull him out….", Arisu said softly.

Whether in terms of his feelings or his interests.

"Fukasaku, go back. When I return, I will tell you how to write this part of history.", Arisu looked calmly at Fukasaku Toad.

"Yes.", Fukasaku Toad immediately formed hand seals and disappeared.

Buzz!!

The space around Arisu suddenly twisted. An invisible pressure fell like the sky collapsing, instantly covering the entire battlefield.

BOOM!!!

A power of sage arts stronger than anything before suddenly descended upon the battlefield.

As if an immortal had personally intervened in the affairs of the human world.

Hagoromo below suddenly raised his head, eyes wide, looking at the sky in disbelief.

'This sage chakra belongs to that person...'

Ashura, who was driving the Thousand-Armed Buddha to attack fiercely, had his pupils shrink sharply. He felt his chakra suddenly freeze, as if an invisible giant hand had grabbed him tightly. He could not even move.

The towering Thousand-Armed Buddha froze in midair, the billions of palm strikes stopping as if time itself had paused.

The next second...

Crack!!

A clear breaking sound rang out. All the palm strikes shattered completely, turning into nothing and scattering into the air as chakra.

Hagoromo's Rinnegan trembled. He looked up at the figure walking slowly out of the sky. For the first time, extreme seriousness appeared on his aged face.

"That one has made a move… but… why?"

Hagoromo's pupils shook with shock, but his heart was full of confusion.

'That person has acted… but why?!'

'Why intervene?'

'He had always stayed out of the Ninja Sect's affairs!

'He had not even shown himself publicly since the Ninja Sect was founded.'

'Why today?'

"Father! What is that?!", Ashura asked in shock.

Hagoromo's face was heavy.

It was the first time Ashura had seen such seriousness in his father's eyes.

"That one has come… I just don't know why he has appeared…", Hagoromo said solemnly to Ashura.

"Who is it? What is his name?", Ashura asked in confusion.

"That name cannot be spoken, must not be spoken, must not be called directly…", Hagoromo said slowly.

Ashura's heart shook. Seeing his father's expression, he seemed to guess who it was.

"That one really exists…? Why… why appear at a time like this?", Ashura said in disbelief.

Hagoromo clenched his fist, his eyes also filled with confusion.

Hagoromo did not know much about Arisu. Arisu was too good at hiding. In a hundred years, one might not see him even once. Hagoromo did not know his background or origin.

As for his purpose and intentions, he knew even less.

The people of the Ninja Sect widened their eyes, their hearts shaking. 'What kind of change was this!?'

Such power was truly eye-opening for them.

The battle between Indra and Ashura already felt like gods fighting to them.

Just now, the Thousand-Armed Buddha bigger than a mountain had been wiped out with a simple gesture. Terrifying beyond words.

And now another change appeared, making them feel as if they were looking up at the bright moon.

Sarutobi looked at that light, his heart trembling.

When he was still a child, it was that one who personally sent him here.

If not for the old immortal pointing him out back then, he would still be herding cattle in the countryside.

Of course, herding cattle was not bad.

But ninjutsu opened a far wider world for him.

Sarutobi then slowly knelt down without drawing attention.

"That one has arrived…", Sarutobi's face was full of respect. He did not dare call his name directly.

The disciples of the Ninja Sect saw that their senior brother Sarutobi had actually knelt down, and confusion filled their hearts.

'What the...The senior of the Ninja Sect actually knelt right away!'

"Brother Sarutobi? You…", One disciple asked in confusion.

Sarutobi pressed his palms together. "The true god has come…"

"What do you mean?", Someone still did not understand.

Sarutobi felt a bit speechless. Did they not see Hagoromo's expression? The only one who could make Hagoromo look that serious was probably the Sage of Six Paths.

"The real immortal has arrived…"

Sarutobi's face was full of devotion.

Arisu floated in midair. His white robe fluttered. Sage arts filled the air, yet the whole world fell silent because of him.

Arisu lowered his eyes and looked at Indra on the ground, barely alive. A trace of complexity flashed in his eyes, then turned into cold indifference.

"Indra, your master has come to help you…"

He flicked his finger. A light golden toad sage talisman chakra turned into a ribbon of light, instantly wrapping around Indra's body and lifting him up to his side.

That gentle yet overbearing power quickly repaired Indra's broken bones and tendons, stopped the bleeding, and restored him to normal in an instant.

At this moment, Indra actually started crying.

"Grandmaster! You are my real father!!!"

That biological father Hagoromo stood there watching him get killed, while his grandmaster stepped in to save him. This was the real father.

"Grandmaster… Grandmaster…", Indra spoke weakly. Tears mixed with blood slid down his face. For the first time, his proud head lowered, filled with grievance and tears.
