Chapter 268 - Chapter 268: Yukio

"When a Jinchuriki gives birth, the seal weakens. I'll sneak in at that time and undo the Nine-Tails' seal. After that, I'll control the Nine-Tails and carry out a terror attack!"

Uchiha Obito rubbed his hands together and laughed sinisterly.

"But neither Minato Namikaze nor Arisu are easy to deal with. On top of that, Konoha still has other experts like Hatake Sakumo, Uchiha Fugaku..."

White Zetsu reminded him.

Uchiha Obito let out a cold laugh.

"With this eye of mine, there's no need to fear them. Getting hit by him before was just a mistake. I underestimated Arisu's strength. This time, I absolutely won't make the same mistake!"

White Zetsu couldn't be bothered to persuade him and simply nodded.

"As you command!"

At the same time, White Zetsu immediately sent a clone to inform Arisu that Obito planned to control the Nine-Tails and attack Konoha.

———

At the same time, Konoha was packed with people and buzzing with noise.

The entire Hokage Street was crowded with villagers who had come to watch the ceremony. Everyone's eyes were focused on the viewing platform of the Hokage Building.

On the platform, Arisu held the hat embroidered with the Hokage symbol and stood before Minato Namikaze.

Minato bowed slightly. His golden hair shone under the sunlight as he spoke respectfully.

"Lord Hokage!"

Arisu nodded and slowly spoke with a gentle gaze.

"I hope you can carry on the past and lead Konoha into a new era. Minato, Konoha is in your hands."

Minato's emotions surged. His chest rose and fell sharply. Straightening his back, he deeply bowed toward the stone faces of the previous Hokage in the distance.

His voice rang out firmly, "I will not fail your expectations! Before all the previous Hokage, I, Minato Namikaze, swear that I will use my life to protect Konoha's glory!"

Arisu smiled with satisfaction and gently patted Minato's shoulder.

Then, holding the Hokage hat with both hands, Arisu solemnly placed it on Minato's head.

In an instant, thunderous cheers erupted below.

"Long live the Seventh Hokage!"

"Long live Konoha!"

The cheers rose higher and higher, pushing the atmosphere of the succession ceremony to its peak.

Countless villagers raised their arms and shouted. Their faces were filled with excitement and hope as they celebrated Konoha's new leader.

Arisu looked at Minato.

"In the original story, it was Minato's son Naruto who became the Seventh Hokage. Now, Minato himself has become the Seventh Hokage..."

At that moment, Arisu also received White Zetsu's message.

"So we're still going to have a Nine-Tails incident like in the original story?"

Arisu stroked his chin and thought for a moment.

Then he nodded and decided the threat wasn't serious.

Obito couldn't cause much trouble.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the village, inside a dark, airtight room.

"Change the channel! Change it! Change it!!!!"

Danzo was wearing a dark robe. His one eye was filled with gloom and unwillingness as he tightly gripped the remote and frantically pressed the button.

He didn't want to see Minato Namikaze basking in glory, and he couldn't accept that after being forced to step down, this brat had taken over.

But the Hokage succession was Konoha's biggest event. Every channel on Konoha TV was broadcasting the ceremony live.

No matter how many times he switched channels, the screen always showed Minato receiving the admiration of the masses. That bright smile made his eyes hurt.

Suddenly, the door opened. It was Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"That's enough, Danzo!"

Seeing Danzo like this, Hiruzen helplessly tried to persuade him.

Danzo's eyes were gloomy and angry.

"Hiruzen, you wouldn't understand..."

Hiruzen let out a slight sigh and handed Danzo a cup of cola.

"Have a drink."

Danzo didn't refuse. After opening it, he drank it all in one go.

"Danzo, sometimes you have to accept that your historical mission has come to an end..."

[Soon, After Ten Months Of Pregnancy]

The top floor of Konoha's best hospital had been completely cleared out. Apart from the nurses, only Tsunade remained there to give birth.

Arisu stood alone by the window. A thousand years had already made his emotions as deep and restrained as a still pool.

Unless he deliberately put on an act, Arisu always kept his emotions hidden.

The anxiety and panic others felt while waiting for childbirth couldn't be seen in him at all.

Though calm, Arisu remained extremely alert.

Layers of Sage Art barriers had already been set up around the hospital to prevent any accidents and stop wandering souls from possessing his son.

His perception silently passed through the doors, clearly sensing every detail inside the delivery room.

Tsunade's heartbeat remained steady and strong, and her chakra flowed smoothly. She looked even more relaxed than when carrying out an S-rank mission.

For Tsunade, this level of pain was nothing.

In the original story, even after being pierced through the chest by Susanoo's blade, she could calmly smash the enemy's skeleton apart in return.

Giving birth was nothing in comparison.

Tsunade had even suggested earlier that there was no need to go to the hospital.

She could deliver the baby herself.

But Arisu refused and chose the hospital.

Before long, a loud cry broke the hospital's silence.

Arisu knew the baby had been born and pushed the door open.

"Congratulations, Lord Arisu. It's a healthy boy!"

The nurse came forward with a smile, holding the swaddled baby.

Arisu didn't look at the child first. His gaze landed on Tsunade beside the bed.

She was leaning there casually. Her blonde hair was loosely tied behind her head, and she had already wiped away the sweat on her forehead.

She looked as relaxed as if she had only taken a short nap, without the slightest sign of exhaustion after giving birth.

"You're here?"

"That was much faster than I expected. I thought it'd last until dawn."

Tsunade raised her eyes toward him, a bright smile on her face.

Arisu slowly walked to the bedside. His fingers gently brushed through her hair. Only after confirming that she was truly fine did he turn his attention to the tiny bundle in the nurse's arms.

"Let's give the child a name."

Tsunade carefully held the baby in her arms. There was a gentleness in her eyes that had never been there before.

She had never intended for the child to carry the Senju surname. Even she herself had long let go of that name. Now she was simply Tsunade, not some princess of the Senju Clan.

Arisu thought for a moment, "Let me think... Do you have any ideas?"

Tsunade puffed out her lips, "I don't know yet..."

"Then... how about Yukio?"

Arisu looked at her, seeking her opinion, "Sounds good. Yukio it is."

Tsunade smiled and nodded, then handed the child to him.

The moment his fingers touched the baby's skin, Arisu's pupils shrank slightly.

He clearly sensed that within that tiny body flowed the same Sage Body constitution as his own.

'Just like me... born with a Sage Body.', A trace of surprise flashed through Arisu's eyes.

This meant that from the moment his son was born, he possessed an innate talent for Sage Arts. Sage Mode would become his natural state, requiring no hand seals and no deliberate activation.

Afterward, Arisu checked the child's eyes.

There wasn't anything like a Rinnegan.
