Chapter 401 - Chapter 401: Haruto Erased

Arisu brought Haruto's figure with him as they flashed through the void, and the next second, they landed in a completely silent alternate space.

There was no sky or earth here, no direction, only endless gray-white emptiness.

As soon as Haruto steadied himself, his legs went weak.

He instinctively wanted to step back, only to find that it was as though he were standing on nothingness itself. There was not even a way back.

Arisu stood before him with his hands behind his back, his gaze calm.

"Let me introduce myself."

"My name is Arisu. I am the observer of this Naruto universe, responsible for correcting any plot that deviates from its predetermined course."

Arisu introduced himself calmly with his hands behind his back.

"Observer!?"

Haruto's pupils suddenly contracted.

'Observer... correcting the plot...'

Those two words struck his heart like two heavy blows.

Countless possibilities flashed through Haruto's mind in an instant. The Heavenly Dao? An will? Or some kind of higher-dimensional existence?

A bad feeling surged over him like a tide, almost drowning him.

Seeing his expression, the corner of Arisu's mouth curved ever so slightly. "You've already guessed it, haven't you?"

Haruto swallowed, but before he could speak, Arisu said directly, "You're a transmigrator."

As soon as these words came out, Haruto froze completely, his face instantly turning pale.

Almost instinctively, Haruto fell to his knees, his voice trembling. "M-My lord! I haven't done anything! I only casually chatted with Kurama for a few minutes! I swear I'll never recklessly change the plot! Please spare me this once!"

At the same time, he frantically called out in his mind.

'System! System! Come out, quick! Help me! Send me back! Or at least give me a life-saving skill!'

The system gave no response.

Looking at his panicked state, Arisu said calmly, "Calling for your system is useless."

Haruto suddenly raised his head, his eyes filled with terror.

This person had not only seen through him, but had also seen through his system!?

Arisu continued, "That longevity system of yours that 'adds one card of chakra every day,' I saw it from the very beginning. It's useless now."

Arisu had already activated the Anti-Magic Domain in advance, and the invisible domain instantly unfolded.

Haruto completely broke down.

He knelt there, his shoulders trembling slightly, while the last trace of color drained from his face.

After a long while, he seemed to have used up all his strength before raising his head. His voice was hoarse, but carried a trace of relief.

"...how do you intend to deal with me?"

"Hm?"

Arisu looked at him, a faint smile flashing through his eyes.

"Don't worry."

"I'm not going to do anything to you."

Arisu's tone was relaxed.

A trace of hope had just flashed through Haruto's eyes when, in the next second...

Pfft.

Without warning, Haruto's body collapsed on the spot. The traces of what remained were erased the instant they touched the void, leaving not even a trace behind.

The body silently fell, then turned into specks of light and dispersed.

At the instant that body completely vanished, a faint yet exceptionally pure stream of light broke free from the remains, transforming into a tiny shooting star that fled madly toward the depths of the void.

That was Haruto's system.

It seemed to have sensed the fatal danger and desperately tried to escape this space.

However, beside Arisu, an even deeper and colder system notification quietly sounded.

[Free system source detected...]

[Initiating devouring...]

An invisible force opened like a giant maw, instantly locking the fleeing shooting star in place.

The shooting star struggled violently and let out a silent shriek, but it lasted for less than a breath.

The next second, it was completely devoured, without even a trace remaining.

Arisu stood there with his hands behind his back, calmly watching the void that had completely returned to silence.

"One card a day... The accumulation speed is quite patient. If I'd had a system like this back then, that wouldn't have been bad either... I might even have achieved more than I have now....", Arisu murmured softly.

[Arisu, what are you yapping about?] The system's voice suddenly came through.

Arisu froze, then immediately said, "Nothing. I was saying that if I'd used this one-card-a-day system back then, I definitely wouldn't have achieved as much as I have now."

After saying that, Arisu turned around, and his figure slowly faded away in the gray-white alternate space.

This generation's transmigrator had been completely eliminated.

The smoke of battle finally cleared.

———

Senju Shuichi stood in the middle of the ruins, his chest heaving heavily. His clothes had long since been stained beyond recognition by blood and dust.

"It's over, Izumi!"

Senju Shuichi's hands were still trembling slightly. It was the aftereffect left by his prolonged burst of monstrous strength.

Across from him, Uchiha Izumi was half-kneeling on the ground, the light in his Sharingan gradually fading.

Without a doubt, the ultimate victor was Senju Shuichi.

Ashura's will had once again overcome Indra.

In the void, Arisu stood with his hands behind his back, quietly watching everything.

He had not intervened, nor had he deliberately pushed either side forward. This time, the plot had followed its predetermined course from beginning to end.

There had been no transmigrator suddenly appearing, no inexplicable cheat ability, and no deviation that required him to personally correct.

Arisu nodded slightly, the corner of his mouth curving ever so faintly.

"This generation... is finally clean."

He turned around, and his figure slowly faded into the void.

Next, it was time to prepare for the reincarnations of Indra and Ashura in the next generation.

Arisu closed his eyes, his consciousness sinking into a deeper level.

The flow of time slowly moved before his eyes, countless possible branches passing before him one by one.

In the end, his gaze settled on the most familiar path, the generation of Uchiha Katsu... his eyes narrowed slightly.

"If I don't interfere... it should be the familiar Indra-and-Ashura reincarnation routine."

In the previous cycle, he had interfered too much, directly turning Uchiha Katsu's generation into something completely unrecognizable.

Now that he had voluntarily withdrawn and would no longer interfere, theoretically, everything should return to its proper course.

"This time, I won't interfere. There basically shouldn't be any problems."

Thinking this, Arisu completely disappeared into the river of time.

Several years passed in the blink of an eye from his perspective.

Finally, on a quiet night, the loud cries of a baby came from a residence of the Uchiha clan.

Uchiha Katsu was born.

Arisu looked over from a distance. He did not approach, much less intervene.

This time, because his parents were both alive and well, he was no longer the orphan who grew up under cold looks and ridicule.

Because Arisu did not exist, many things naturally never happened either. Previously, Arisu's existence and repeated interference in the human world had caused a butterfly effect that led to many people dying.

Now that Arisu did not exist, those who would have died because of the butterfly effect naturally did not have to die.

But strangely, Uchiha Katsu did not cry when he was born.

Instead, his face was filled with bewilderment. A look of bewilderment appearing on a baby's face was truly somewhat unnatural.
